Carhartts run big, I bought two jackets last year because the first one was bigger than what I expected. I still wear it with a hoodie of course. These jackets last forever

The reason they run big is so you can add more layers of clothes under the Jack like a sweater and so forth . The reason they make your sleeves so long is so you can stretch and reach . Carhartt is a work jacket. I been using Carhartt for years it’s a awesome jacket it’s helped keep me warm working in 10 degree weather. Great choice!!

As for lasting forever. If any of you have actual jobs that you go to and work for a living, you'll get about 3 years out of this before your sleeves are shredded and pockets are hanging. But then hey, you can get another jacket!
But like I said, this applies if you ACTUALLY work. 😅

This is such a classic jacket. I got one i size L and its a perfect fit. I am almost 6'1 195 pounds.

@@fernielcaballo9934 since its relaxed fit it runs true to size in my opinion. Loose fit on the other hand tend to run a size larger - I fit in M instead of L most of the time there.

For what it’s worth, the sleeves look like very typical Carharrt fit to me. I’m sure you’ve gotten it plenty broken in by now. Should serve you just fine for some time to come. Nice review👍

Nice jacket. It fits you perfect. You want to be able to wear a sweatshirt under it. Longer sleeves are good for reaching or for when raising arms overhead.

Welcome, it’s no problem. I would say since you’re taller the height is most important so buy an XL so that it’s not short. Since the arms will be wide you could adjust to the fit, because it’s comfortable.

Take it from me folks the new Carhartt Detroit jacket is s*** I have warned the Detroit jacket my entire working career at the railroad the new Carhartt Detroit jacket has eliminated side snaps at the ways for adjustment add a ridiculous I don't know what to call it maybe apron sort of design on the back to cover up your lower back which I don't care for many of us don't see precipitous thinner material if you want such a style look at Cornerstone to All Seasons workwear or the cowboy jacket available through Cavenders both Superior jackets of the same style and the price is way better Steve Goldstein 40 years on Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad as engineer
