As an FJ Cruiser owner, I am envious of your Tank 500. Seen quite a few of them when I visited China last year October.
Nice mate! Both are capable vehicles. Just the tank 500 has all the luxury mod cons and features.

Tank 500 if they can all be considered Chinese gems. You get a chance to come to a Chinese auto show to browse Chinese EVs, you'll be amazed beyond words. I guarantee it.
100% just got back from china and yes it's insane the cars have to offer.

@@robertaimckibbin5749 original grill is fully stripped and painted. But now we have a new grill coming. On my car in the shorts on our RUclips channel. Can order at savagetech.com.au

Yeah it 100% looks much better but I still dislike this grill. We have new design grills coming can't wait to swap out. And install it built at the same time😁

spot on with the cruise control distance, shortest distance is probably more than 6 cars
I know it's so ridiculous, and especially when cars merge in front even 3 car lengths in front it smashes on the brakes. Hopefully it can be updated by GWM.

G’day mate. Does it actually need a lift kit or non standard tyres/rims if it’s only used on black tops and occasional dirt and Bribie access track (not mud tracks etc)?

Not at all mate! out of the box very capable on the beach no issues. The suspension will just improve the ride quality and performance and help with clearance.

How's the ELK and LKA on the 500? It's a tad aggressive on the Tank 300, was great on the Cannon.
ELK is a pain in ass - gotta turn off with 6 steps each time with Tank300. They need a shortcut
Hey mate, what's the payload like? I was really keen on the Tank 300 until I saw how low the GVM was.
We can do gvm upgrade in Queensland will increase it by 150kg. So will be 547kg
Blacked out grill does look better … wish there was one that had a different design to make it look nicer
Does the HEV drive similar to the T300? Better or worse you mentioned you didnt like it in the 300
It is more refined in the 500. I prefer a straight 2.0lt if it came in this option as the hybrid integration could still be improved in certain situations but overall driving it normally is fine.
Overall it's a fantastic package and nothing really completes with it.

Great vid! Car Looks good. The dealer told me they were changing the grill because the Australian market didnt like all that chrome.. obviously you got the original and then wrapped it. Do you know if that's true that the brand new cars coming over will have a changed grill similar to overseas variants?
Yes I've been told the same thing as well. However until we see what we get we don't really know. We painted the grill but it will be swapped out for the new grills we have in the way much nicer looking design.
It only you could get your hands on a Dongfeng M-Hero 917 or Yangwang U8 to play around with.
Don't worry when they come to Australia we will👌🤩

We get around 14 with wheels and driving easy.

Yeah we had issues with not noticing the gains on the mic were maxed out. Also was in mono mode sorry about that. Hopefully the volume knob is easily accessible 😜

Hey! I've just joined the FB group and looked over your website after watching this video. I'm looking to purchase either a Tank 500 or Cannon Alpha (once available) within the next 2 months, most probably from Kedron also. The Cannon Alpha is particularly appealing as I'd like a ute and it's very similar to the Tank 500 in many ways including the petrol/hybrid drivetrain option. Would you be offering mods for the Cannon Alpha do you think? I'd be keen to reach out with you at some stage to discuss as I'd like to invest in some essential mods.
Hi Andrew, yes we already have plans for our Cannon Alpha as we have one on order. So don't worry at all there won't be a shortage of parts from us.
We have a few electronic rollers on the way over at the moment to kick it off.
