- Savage Offroad takes out there Tank 300 to see how far the prototype portals will take, and we broke them! now we have stronger half axles made of Chromoly we will be testing further.

Man the tank is capable! But have to have a laugh seeing an old LN106 Lux P plate special with a kayak in the back absolutely walk little red no questions asked xD Love to see the old trucks showing up and playing with the expensive super rigs

We have all of the gwm range and if off-road is up the priority list tank 300 is ridiculously good off-road.
I even did beer o'clock hill in Rico's tank with 32" AT tyres and basic lift kit.
Even better he did hardcore hill in it and is not an experienced driver.
Did one of the rigs going on a tow truck went down Compton road
Nah I drove it home, sometimes we put it on a tow truck to go between shops as we don't have time to drive it between shops.

@@mickspecial not worth the difference in money as the power train need better calibration. Which I think they will have to do an update.

If the axles are the same as a Cannon, I have a spare left and right you can have.
Mine sheered the pinion at the snout.
This is the first I've heard of?
The only reason these sheared is because they are prototype axles not the standard ones.
And we already have new chromoly half axles which are stronger now.
And portal axles are different lengths to a standard tank.
@@SavageTechAustralia 35s and two big wheel hops while climbing and it went bang, the diff breaking wasn’t the worst part.
The pinion fell into the diff when it broke and locked the diff up, and the tail shaft spins even in neutral and won’t let you select park because it thinks you are moving forward. Also couldn’t get the centre out of the housing on the car so I had to just swap a whole diff assembly in, still can’t get the centre out on the ground in my garage, fuck knows what they glue the centre in with but it does not want to let go haha.

Tank 400, PHEV, tank 500 PHEV hi4 T, will more capable than tank 300, tank 300 already soing so well since his competitors all more expensive than him, thats why USA and Japan manufacturers scared of Chinese Cars, cheaper but not cheap, more values and more capable
