    This song brings me to tears every time I hear it. I love it , but I can only let myself experience it once in a while. I get too emotional. Truly, this song touches a nerve I never knew I had.

      In my mind I dedicated this song to a buddy who took his own life I play this on piano all the time. Just had a gig and decided to play this song a bad idea I brought myself to tears God I'm not the only one it's so deep

    Just finished his biography and had to smile seeing this album cover. The picture was picked without his permission. He was really upset upon seeing it because he said his mother wouldn't be happy to see he had no shirt on - she'd think it disrespectful.

    I think this is one of the finest folk songs ever written. It should be included it the books of children's songs that the music teachers use in grammar school (elementary school, I guess they call it now). It's a classic.

    A movie that can be both sad and funny its rare. If you add the way Edward Norton manages to play the two twins apparently so different in character, you have a little masterpiece!! Just a pesornal opinion! :)

    Almost positive he uses a quick change capo (the one with the spring steel) and capos all the strings except low E up two half steps to the 2nd fret. That allows the low E when he's playing the D shape (which is E because of the capo) to get that bass, but then allows the G shape with the A tonic (the chord is A, again because of the capo.) Same tuning as Guy Clark's Dublin Blues
