Van Zandt does not take any prisoners and just sings his heart out. He went to young like the best of them. Although I must say this man, s songs and poetry are special. RIP. Search out his early live performances, if you haven't already. He's magical. Sacred. Voice clear and sparkling like the purest mountain stream. Best American singer songwriter to ever walk the Earth.

i don’t think anyone is censuring tvz. someone (his estate?) has the rights to this album and everytime we listen to these albums, it is one less purchase of the album…. i believe that is why that disclaimer was written.

Okay, Townes was a deeply flawed individual but universally revered among singer/songwriters for his abilities. His own mother reportedly regretted allowing treatments that erased most of his childhood memories.. that's what he had to go on.. remember your childhood?.. Townes didn't.. ❤
