Van Zandt does not take any prisoners and just sings his heart out. He went to young like the best of them. Although I must say this man, s songs and poetry are special. RIP. I hadn't heard "Old Shep" in nearly seven decades--I wish TVZ had sung it straight. My late father would sometimes sing that song from my mother's and his bedroom when I was a child about to drift off to sleep in my own room down the hall.

i don’t think anyone is censuring tvz. someone (his estate?) has the rights to this album and everytime we listen to these albums, it is one less purchase of the album…. i believe that is why that disclaimer was written.
