The Bee Gees were never disco. They took some inspirations of the genre when they were in America, but they always saw themselves as an R&B group. This is actually the standard reaction when young people nowadays hear Bee Gees for the first time on this song. They really did not look the way they sounded. Love that you guys loved it. ♥
Now that you have heard the BeeGees, your musical world will NEVER be the same. They are the musical drug that you will not ever be able to get enough of. How do I know? I first heard them at three years old...these harmonies touched me so deeply that I became a musician. Trumpeter, pianist, French hornist, baritone, vocalist, composer, lyricist, piano teacher...I am now 52 years old and still cannot get enough of the BeeGees!!
One of the best musical groups of the 20th century. Great voices, great songwriters, and they've given away great songs. A time when singers had to know how to sing.
Everyone who was alive in the 70s loved the Bee Gees whether they admit it or not. If you were talking about an auntie or grandma playing music that sounded like this, it was them. All aunties and grandmas love the Bee Gees.
They so good that you really can't hate them No matter of a person won't admit It,they secretly LOVE the bee gees and their amazing voices Seriously I never heard of a person who "hates" the bee gees I am yet to see someone who thinks the wrong way like that
They are the brothers Gibb, Barry-lead vocals Maurice & Robin harmomy. They have been singing together since they were little kids. They have countless musical awards and their music has been used in commercials and movies. Barry is the only one still living. If y'all want to really hear some more Bee Gees, do yourself a favor and watch the 1978 movie "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta. Its set in a disco in New York City during the height of disco and most of the movie soundtrack is the Bee Gees!! The Bee Gees have MANY more songs you should check out too🎶🎵🎶🎵
They became known as the Brother Gibbs through a misunderstanding of the fans. They were originally the BG's which were the initials of Bill Gates and Bill Goode (they are the ones who noticed their talent) and Barry Gibb (Lead singer). Bill Gates notice the three had the same initials and that's how the BG's came to be. Thought you might like to know.
@@juanitadiemer64 The first person never said that there were only 3 brothers either. They were clearly referring to the Bee Gees. Hence the "Brothers Gibb" comment. Stop being so offended.
Barry's actual voice is a beautiful booming Baritone Check out "to Love Somebody". All three of these guys have great Falsettos but Barry's is Legendary.
If I remember right one of his producers thought he would go further with a falsetto sound. Don't remember the whole story, but yes this was not his original voice.
Bee Gee's start list - all are Top Hits: Next 😊👉🏼"Stayin' Alive" (sent it to ya) "You Should Be Dancing" "Night Fever" "How Deep Is Your Love" "Jive Talkin" "More Than A Woman" "Nights On Broadway" "Tragedy" "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" After you do "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" - react to Al Green's version Live on Soul 1972. The Reverend will take you to church with that one. 🤣
Robin's voice is amazing... and very different. Listen to I Started A Joke.... all Robin. Maurice, the other twin was the harmonizing genius and could put together 4 levels of harmonies.
You just experienced The Bee Gees in all their glory! Damn right they are real! Musicians, lyrics, music all written by The Bee Gees! No one will ever even match their genius! Barry, lead singer, is the only one alive, Maurice, Robyn and a younger brother Andy that was not part of The Bee Gees died too! They were the best! Originally born on The Isle of Mann, they lived in England and Australia before going back to England and they they ended up in Florida! We miss them so!
This was one of your best reactions that I've seen from you two. I'm old school born back in the 70s. So watching you two enjoy the smoothness of the Bee Gees was fun to say the least. I've been watching you two for a few weeks and this was pure excitement in your eyes. Please ask you Nana about the Bee Gees she will school you.
Dude you picked up on something that even most “vocal experts “ don’t and that is that they can sync their vibratos to each other or the rhythm of the song which gives them that”one voice” sound. Good job!
The Brothers Gibb. You canNOT go wrong diving into the Bee-Gee's catalog of music. They are legendary. The kings of disco for the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack, which was one of the biggest albums of the 70s. Plus, they wrote and produced many songs for other artists, notably "Islands in the Stream" for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, and Barbra Streisand's "Guilty" album on which Barry had a duet with her on the title track and all three brothers provided back-up vocals. Their younger brother, Andy Gibb, was like a "mini me" of Barry. Andy had that beautiful falsetto, too, and hits of his own that he and his brothers wrote together. The staples are: Stayin' Alive, Jive Talkin', You Should Be Dancing, Tragedy, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever, Emotions, and Nights on Broadway. For Andy, listen to Shadow Dancing and I Just Want to Be Your Everything. CHEERS.
@Pisces228...YES!! They were/are(only Barry is left of course, but still watching them currently, 'are' works too lol)But they are legendary, their catalog is extensive and their song writing is classic, for themselves and other artists! Superb! Also, I absolutely love THEIR reactions! It makes me smile out loud🙂 to see the younger generation discovering and listening AND loving them! Perfect💘
Brodie that was Barry the lead singer and oldest brother. The other brothers are Robin and Maurice. They are actually twins. They got hits for days. They have a little brother Andy who also was a good singer..
I love seeing people react to this amazing group for the first time! I was just a teenager when they were so popular. The music is still awesome today ❤️❤️
Barry Gibb had a great tenor voice, but when he slid up into his falsetto range (effortlessly), he was the GOAT! Sibling groups always deliver the purest harmonies (because they've sung together for a lifetime) and the Brothers Gibb were no exception.
They are brothers and have been singing together since childhood. Barry (lead singer) has a very versatile voice. Awesome falsetto, (like Russell Thompkins of the Stylistics). Their biggest hit was How Deep Is Your Love. You should react to that song next.
🤣 I LOVE YOUR REACTION!! Y'all cracked me up! Welcome to the Bee Gees! Brothers: Barry (center), Maurice & Robin (twins) Gibb. One of the most popular groups in history. Perfect harmonies! They've sang & written hundreds of songs. That high voice pitch you're in disbelief over is called "falsetto". I've never met anyone that doesn't love 'em. I guarantee you've heard a few of their disco songs.

For the male reactor, who didn't believe this was them, especially Barry, singing this; The super high singing here is falsetto, or "false voice". @@louiseasmith1336 What does Trump have to do with music??? Leave politics out of this wonderful art and we would all be better please. Too bad you dont like the BG's that's ok, as everyone like different things in music, calling it shit is a bit off, but hey,. when it was happening, I was not a fan either, since the whole disco age and deja's killed off live bands at that at that time as my band in HS had hard time getting work, now looking back and listening to them, their music and writing is superb. Bet you like some songs from other singers that you do not even know where written by the bee'gees???
@@josephklimchock5412 My point was that I loved them so much and played their record too much and republicans don't know good music either. And I can say what I want, dad.

They was the real deal.no auto tune, nothing but straight talent.they sounded just like that live.
Trust me that’s their voices no autotune nothing just pure talent
Dudes are legends. They switched up for every decade and feel.
Have a great day.
Bee Gees are legendary. Their catalog is so extensive too.
NO COMPUTERS... NO SYNTHESIZERS...NO LIP-SYNCING...
REAL MUSICIANS IN THE STUDIO!!!! PURE TALENT AND PURE LIVE VOICE!!!!
They so good that you really can't hate them
No matter of a person won't admit It,they secretly LOVE the bee gees and their amazing voices
Seriously I never heard of a person who "hates" the bee gees
I am yet to see someone who thinks the wrong way like that
They dominated the music world in 70'80 so much they tried to get their music banned from radio.😂
They are the brothers Gibb,
Barry-lead vocals
Maurice & Robin harmomy.
Thought you might like to know.
actually they were 4. Brother Andy died in the 80`s
@@juanitadiemer64 This is true, but he never was a part of the Bee Gee's. He pursued a solo career.
@@snowflakehunter I never said so !!!!!
@@juanitadiemer64 The first person never said that there were only 3 brothers either. They were clearly referring to the Bee Gees. Hence the "Brothers Gibb" comment. Stop being so offended.
3 brothers who had voices from heaven. Pure, natural talent. No auto tune, just talent.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of the Bee Gees! Best group ever...the Brothers Gibb!
The Bee Gees were pure talent. Love watching the young generations react to what I grew up to. They truly are missing out
Bee Gee's start list - all are Top Hits:
Next 😊👉🏼"Stayin' Alive" (sent it to ya)
"You Should Be Dancing"
"Night Fever"
"How Deep Is Your Love"
"Jive Talkin"
"More Than A Woman"
"Nights On Broadway"
"Tragedy"
"How Can You Mend A Broken Heart"
After you do "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" - react to Al Green's version Live on Soul 1972. The Reverend will take you to church with that one. 🤣
They had perfect harmony. Barry's voice is everything. Definitely five down this rabbit hole
REAL...No auto tune!!!! Pure natural talent!!!
I wish i had a singing voice like the bee gee's angelic voices
Barry Gibb is one of the best vocalist ever and his brother Robin also has a unique voice.
Robin's voice is amazing... and very different. Listen to I Started A Joke.... all Robin. Maurice, the other twin was the harmonizing genius and could put together 4 levels of harmonies.
Robin did an amazing cover of The Beatles, Oh Darlin, for the Sgt. Pepper's movie soundtrack. So good!
Each one of these guys had glorious voices in their own right but when you put them together they were magical.
Barry's voice has brought happiness to so many people over half a century. Thar is still one of my all-time favorite songs.
This is the 70s... The 80s struggled to invent technology to simulate what these three brothers could do with just their voices.
Good job!
My husband says it's because they are siblings. Only family can so that.
@@jillpruett3444 Definitely part of it
Yes, I just realized that. I'd bet they knew they were doing it. Wow.
they sang together since they were young that’s why they sound so good
The Brothers Gibb.
Perfect💘
Oh yeah, and Andy Gibb too! And artist in his own right, not quite the catalog as his bros, but great just as well!💞
Pure God given talent. Angelic, no gimmicks here.
There was nothing better then being in the arms of someone you love listening to this.
There was a reason the Bee Gees were the soundtrack of the 1970's. Pure talent.
It is so cool to see young people listening to one of the greatest brother groups of all time!! Refreshing!! Thank you!! 💜
The Bee Gees songs make me cry....they are so beautiful!!! Check out TRAGEDY by the Bee Gees....You will never be the same!!!
No autotune - pure talent.
Welcome to the world of the Bee Gees the one and only and the Machine like angels and that's their voice better get with him
Brodie that was Barry the lead singer and oldest brother. The other brothers are Robin and Maurice. They are actually twins. They got hits for days. They have a little brother Andy who also was a good singer..
I love seeing people react to this amazing group for the first time! I was just a teenager when they were so popular. The music is still awesome today ❤️❤️
Their amazing music will never die
Just like my love for their music and angelic voices
Watched a YT documentary the other day. I realised that it was the soundtrack of my life since 1966
Actual musical talent never fails to impress.
BTW - The Bee gees are the 4th best selling artists of all time after the Beatles...Elvis and Michael Jackson.
Barry is also the second most successful songwriter in the history of music behind McCartney. Barry wrote songs in more genres!
You missed one, Garth just became #1 on this list
Barry Gibb had a great tenor voice, but when he slid up into his falsetto range (effortlessly), he was the GOAT! Sibling groups always deliver the purest harmonies (because they've sung together for a lifetime) and the Brothers Gibb were no exception.
They really do sound like this, back in the 1980’s they came to Detroit, I went to the concert and was blown away! I’ve been a fan since 1977!
🤣🤣🤣🤣💯
Just to add a bit; They are in Songwriters Hall of Fame, with 1031 songs written by Barry, Maurice & Robin, together, alone, or with others.

That is literally INSANE!🤯
I didn't know they wrote that many
@@sk1dzzz608 Being brothers & performing together from 1955-2003 couldn't have hurt, but still...it's a massive number, with an incredible number of hits, for themselves & others. Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers "Islands in the Stream" (written by Barry, Robin & Maurice) was #1 on 3 charts (Hot 100, Adult Contemporary & Country) & certified Platinum. Barbra Streisand's Guilty album, all 9 songs written by Barry (some with Robin &/or Maurice &/or Albhy Galuten), was a #1 album, 4x Platinum & 5x Grammy nominated. If all they'd done was write 1031 songs, it'd be impressive, but add they also recorded, toured, played multiple instruments each, produced, etc., "Insane" describes their talent perfectly.
No one can compare to The Bee Gee. They were such a blessing in the music industry and to all of us.
If you want to hear Barry’s full voice, try “Nights on Broadway” by them. You’ll love the song.
There will never be another group like them, True superstars and very down to earth people.
They didn’t have auto tune back then! Goosebumps every time!
3 brothers with a huge catalog. Barry’s natural singing voice is much lower but his falsetto is amazing as you can hear.
Dude, that is them. I’ve heard them live. Met them. Absolutely unique. One of a kind group.
The bee gees along with lots lots of other 70 s 80 s....use to gave theire entire SOUL on each presentation and every song they recorded .....was an era of pure professional talents plus fantastic arraingmets, great musicians, composers everything first class....with no auto tune or samplers of other songs.....pure original inspiration....uffff!
that man is barry gibb, and he has written some of the most popular music in history. google the hits not just for bee gees but alot of other famous artists as well.
enjoy
All 3 wrote many of them together, not just Barry.
They are the most talented group I ever heard.3 brothers.amazing voices
No auto tune back in the day. No one today can match this💕
One of the greatest falsetto singers ever. The brother’s Gibb are without a doubt the G.O.A.T.
That’s his voice, he ( Barry) has a huge range, he has a deep chest voice and then this falsetto! Check out out Nights on Broadway to hear his deeper voice or some of their 60’s stuff. This from the late ‘70’s. They ( the brothers) are know for their tight harmonies. Just think, no such thing as auto tune back then, you had to have actual talent. 😎
Pure natural talent. So much diverse talent back in the day. We were so spoiled with GREAT music and talent and variety of sounds every day. It was heaven to our ears and senses, constantly.....on the radio and vinyl LPs. EVERYONE had a stereo and turntable in their homes....albums were always playing. We rarely watched TV.
Welcome to the Brothers Gibb. Barry (in the middle) was singing in his falsetto (decades before auto tune). Robin & Maurice (on either side) are twins. You had to have heard their song “Staying Alive”. Try that one next. They recorded songs for over 45years. From the 1960s-2003. Subscribed for more BeeGees!!!!!
gotta hear more from them. i bet you know their song "staying alive" watch it. its a 70s dance classic that everyone has heard .
If you think 0f disco, then more likely than not you think of stayin alive
The best Australian group of all Time!!! I was a young kid in the 70’s when my older sisters played them. The main singer Berry is still with us!And he is still married to his beautiful wife since the mid 70s. It’s OK to be in love gentlemen.!! Our world needs this❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👊🏼✌️
For the male reactor, who didn't believe this was them, especially Barry, singing this; The super high singing here is falsetto, or "false voice". Almost everyone has the capability of talking or singing using falsetto. The only thing is that The Bee Gees were experts at it, even down to singing all the harmony parts with it.
yet never did it live?
@@Itchybunny One Night Only video. I don't know about the full harmony. I haven't watched it in a while, but Barry Gibb sang a lot of falsetto live in that one. I know because he messed up, in falsetto, several times because of age and strain, from the amount of singing, and he was not lip syncing.
This song is literally just pure heaven. Makes me want to cry. Imagine other countries listening and they didn't understand but still loved it. Crazy. So glad you guys are listening to it in 2022.

That recording is 27 layers of vocals. Barry laid down 18 on his own then a further 9 with his brothers. Each one done more perfect 1st take. He didn’t even use a lead track to listen to, awesome genius of a man.
