    GTRs will forever rule! Ever since the R32, they've been damn near unbeatable. Great job, NISMO.

    this is the only sportscar, that's worth this amount of money. What's the point of sportscar, when they're just a Name? Thanks Nissan, thanks NISMO, this is just the master piece in the world of sportscar. i'll own this car...

      How can something that used to cost £55K and now costs £125K be worth its money?. Its not even as good to drive on the public roads as the standard car (which is the whole point of a sports car).
      Nissan need to take some lessons from Porsche and -
      a. Bring out a new car
      b. Make the track versions (i.e. the GT3) as good to drive on the road as the race track

    • @roke2203

      Take a lesson from porsche! why are the new 911 gt3 4.wheel drive? abandon the manuel klotch to the PDK? why are they so hight up the power on the common generation, but keep all the confort, not anymore that bloody plastic back windscreen. Well it's your right to like porsche, but one thing is clear, the one that actually try to catch up is porsche. Porsche made a good car, but i am sorry, this price tag for a car that in no case better than the gtr. You just pay more than the difference for the Name porsche. And if you are agree with that, so your's, i'll don't.

      roland ken
      The GT3 is 2 wheel drive???
      Just looking at the interior justifies the extra cost, the new Porsche has the best interior i have ever seen, the GT-R was abysmal when it came out 8 years ago, now its totally unacceptable.
      The GT-R locks out launch control after a hand full of launches so that it does not explode. Just search for the video '911 turbo S unbreakable' Even after 50 launches in a row it still hits identical 0-60 time.
      That my friend is what you pay for, and is the difference between Porsche engineering and Nissan cutting corners.

    • @roke2203
      @roke2203 10 лет назад

      this current generation gt3 is the first with 4 wheel drive. As i said, it's your right to love Porsche. And just mention the point of the reliability for the Porsche is not the a brilliant choice. This model had a bad start. So the interior, i ask you, what is the point of a sportscar? be a rolls royce or get arround a circuit as fast as possible. Only you can find such word to describe both interior and the difference between them. if you can name just one stuff in the interior of the Porsche, that you can't found in the GTR NISMO, tell me, i'll please you for it. If you just want a german made interior for that money, a Mercedes S AMG is a better choice. According to your last passage, the GTR is the best sportscar.

    • @Dominikmj
      @Dominikmj 10 лет назад

      Sorry roland ken but you are wrong! The 991 GT3 is still rear wheel drive - however 4 wheel steering [the rear axle has some actuators, which are angling the wheels for a couple of degrees].
      And if it comes to the point, when you are questioning quality of interior, it obviously seems, that you are not in the market for such vehicles. Off course, driving dynamics are very important [but then the GT3 has pretty flawless and awesome dynamics, and is so much lighter than the GT-R].
      But if you don't want to have it just as weekend warrior, it should be also adequate inside. It has nothing to do with Rolls Royce [by the way, you seem not that much a car guy - otherwise you would have mentioned Bentley, which is still well performing, but also beautiful, and sadly very heavy].
      AMG Mercedes are definitely also great cars, but their character is totally different! It is definitely not a better or worse choice.
      I guess you are a Forza warrior, but reality is definitely a bitch - you don't want to drive regularly a car, which would result, that you also need to see regularly a chiropractic... and which is plasticy inside. And most people also don't want to have a vulgar braggers' car. The fastest is not always the best... in reality!

    • @Dominikmj
      @Dominikmj 10 лет назад +2

      ***** ok - shit happens. Cars, are called back, which are produced in 4 or even 5 figures - due to defect brake pedals etc.
      Porsche [and Ferrari] are much smaller.
      They are testing their cars over 100k or even millions of kilometers. And they are also using great components and materials. But a car is as complex, that something like that can happen - doesn't matter of the price!
      So the 458 and the GT3 caught fire. Both companies acted fast and responsible - and the problems have been fixed. Case closed!

      M3Conv turbo s is 10 times better , comfortable , more fun , luxurious and in the right hands , could lap any circuit faster than this piece of junk. Gtr acceleration and lap times have never been matched by nissans claims , the 0-60 is always over 3 seconds , and its one party trick "its cheap" is no longer the case either.

    Its funny how automotive journalist always complain about how hard the suspensions of these 1/2 road 1/2 track beasts are when there are millions of enthusiasts all over the world daily driving modified cars with teeth smashing suspensions without a care in the world. This is simply because it takes lots of money and skill to modify and tune nicely damped suspension that is still capable of carving corners so most just choose to live with very stiff suspensions. These enthusiasts would give anything to own and drive a car like the Nismo GTR and would marvel at how the car manages to be so aggressive with such a "smooth" suspension.

  • @pascalmpower7944
    @pascalmpower7944 9 лет назад +2

    Also the AWD system and a redesign tire. Tthe new Nismo is highly based on rear wheel on track with its retune ET-S (GTR) AWD system, the system will sent power to the front later than the old version and this will allows more "rotate" as MotoTrend racing driver Randy Podst said. That actually called understeering, and understeering allows a sharper maneuver. The combination of retune ET-S (GTR), its sharper steering system and stiffer anti-roll bar and damping will make the car handles like god, it can choose any lane it want on a race track. Brilliant piece of machine! Who the hell design it?
    As you can see at 6:55, clearly see the ETS (GTR) split most of its power to rear wheel can't tell how many at that time but a lot. Then rear steps out, ESP brake outter wheel and ETS system split power to front wheel, power oversteering ended instantly, also look how quick he straight up the steering wheel and how quick the car actually straight back up. That really thanks to its stiff damper for a more effective steering response. If you power oversteer in an Audi, lets see how long will take you from oversteer to push to straight up. Again, GTR's main disadvantage is weight and too tall.

      Last time i looked Porsche and Ferrari were dominating in racing.
      Nissan and particularly the GT-R are winning zero.
      NISMO is just an advertising gimmick for an end of run car, £130K for a R35?, whats the point?, car is way too heavy to win anything other than a single lap of Nurburgring, and there aint no prizes for that one.

All the while he was going on and on about steering precision, and being able to place the nose within millimetres of where you want, the external footage was all misjudged corners where the wheels where creeping onto, or over the center line.
    Those were open public roads, with traffic coming the other direction. Obviously the wheels were not within millimeters of the driver's intended line.

    ın 2007 I couldn't believe the specs , the results and also the price around 50k (smiliar to M3) with a performance of 911 Turbo S at that time
    Now 125k it has to be much much better than current 911 turbo S otherwise
    Nissan is never ever equal to Porsche as a brand

      Problem here is price in GT3 territory. Probably not a fast on track then GT R but handles far better on both track and street.The 911 Turbo S has set the bar far too high.
      I am not sure any GT R will ever eclipse it.
      Porsche has really done a real nice balancing act with 911 Turbo S.
      This GT R has become 1 track minded frankly.

      ***** I get all that, but this is supposed to be the track version lol. You want less noise and better street driveability buy the standard car. Not to mention that the suspension is so stiff for the road that it doesn't exactly score much points for driveability to begin with.

    • @VirusTornado
      @VirusTornado 10 лет назад

      Pliaskam Vilo Do you even know the disadvantages of having carbon ceramic brakes? First of all is the lack of feel, and that's vital in 'the track version lol'. Also, ceramic brakes would add about 10K to the car's price... that's A LOT. Why are you complaining again? Do you know why carbon ceramic brakes are used in the first place? This isn't an endurance racer neither is it an F1 car, it just doesn't need carbon ceramics to counter brake fade if the steel ones are doing their job well...

I say chums to this Frankenstein thrill machine. Everyone else has made an automobile that has been seen in the past and present, but this car is one hell of a sweet ride you can forget. I guess car buyers are going to have to decide whether its racing DNA is livable as an everyday car or whether it would just prudent to buy a wannabe sports car that is a boulevard cruiser.

    This will munch the Porsche turbo S.The great thing about GTRs is that they respond to tuning by leaps and bounds and you don't have to drive around with a crew of mechanics everytime you plan to nail it.Give a ferrari a thrashing and you have to change everything after wards.Porsches stand up better than ferraris in that department they are much more sturdy and reliable.

    The standard tires on the GT-R are run flats which plays a big part in why it rides so harsh. For most GT-R owners, changing to MPSS usually improves noise and riding comfort without hampering the handling.

    Still a surprising car in many ways but that Nismo version at £125,000 is very expensive. I'm sure the extra time put into each one is not cheap but for that money I expect a much improved interior (centre console in particular as that lump of plastic looks nasty) a better sound and decent lights with LEDs included rather some some cheap looking after market types fitted like all these crappy cars worth £500 driving round with max power style ones.
    It's still a monster but at that weight it's not a viable option for many. Why spend that money when a GT3, Caterham or Lotus Exige etc will allow you to have even more fun for a lesser amount.

      Complaining about the interior materials on a track focused car is a bit silly.. Take a look at the interior of the Ferrari F40.. Does it look luxurious? Hell no, but who cares? It's all about the performance, not accoutrements. Sahiel5 is right, if you want lavish interiors and flashy LED's then look at a Bentley.

    • @Misfiring89
      @Misfiring89 10 лет назад

      The new 991 GT3 might be slightly faster than the GT-R in a short and twisty track, but the difference won't be much and both will be fun for very different reasons, not to mention GT-R's 300++ liter boot and back seats making it the more practical car, but the GT3 is smaller and easier to park.
      Still, if its against the GT-R Nismo, I don't think it has a chance. In fact, you need a lot more cash to get a car that can beat the GT-R Nismo.

  • @BNR_248
    @BNR_248 10 лет назад +5

    Has anyone even driven a nismo r35? or are they just basing it off what this dude said...? Cause i havent, and im pretty sure everyone here hasnt either. Seriously, if your arguing its too rough for street use, thats a whole load of crap. Ive seen so many ridiculosly stanced, lowered, cut, heated suspension setups which would probably give a horrible ride and make the Nismo gtr feel like a bloody mercedes family sedan. Ferrari and Lambo? They are also HORRIBLE to drive on the streets. Ride comfort aside, Having driven a murcielago, its impossible to do a proper U turn with them, you cant go over dips at high speeds (80KPH) without raising the car, you cant even have more than one passenger! All these arguments are rubbish lol. The only Ferrari which can beat this is the LaFerrari, and the only Lambo would be the Veneno. And they're Bloody hyper cars(not even in supercar territory anymore), which is probably 10 times the price of this GTR.

    • @jeffwill4923
      @jeffwill4923 10 лет назад

      Not her claiming to have driven or seen 1. There have been a few reviews come this month. Like here reviewer says ride on street is very stiff. Track performance and turn is much improved from what I have read. The video does backup that claim. I have seen performance #'s and weight also. Let's say I was not impressed. This beating any car but the Hybrid's I would say no also.
      A Viper TA is far lighter and powerful. I don't see many cars beating a TA on any track but the new Z06. The physics don't lie. Both are lighter and have more power then NISMO. It will be probably be even in slower turns but straits based on weights I have seen, NISMO sucking fumes.
      Motor Trend will be doing a Leguna test next month. If a 650S is there, it is taking everything from better ride on street,Track and drag race.
      Mclaren has been doing some development and testing there lately.
      Not claiming to be no expert like many here but 650S has more power and less weight, so drag race is already in the bag.

      Jeffrey Williams The point of GT-R (and Nismo) is not just the speed it can do, it's the accessibility. Sure a Viper TA is light and powerful, but how many can drive it at its limit? Sure a pro can drive the Viper TA and C7 Z06 and demolish every other car, but what about a normal person? The true value of Nismo is not just the speed, it's how easy to do the speed.

    2) If you don't own one, and had $130,000 to spend, would you buy the Nismo GTR or still buy the regular GTR and get an aftermarket company to tune it ?

      No matter which tuner you choose, non can compare with a properly engineered factory machine. Its designed to last, has a warranty and its from the manufacture. Same question has been asked a million times on my CSL and whatever people say about tuning a regular M3, there is no replacement for the genuine factory special. This is regardless of whether you have the $$$ or not to purchase it. For people that will buy these, I do not think the price tag will put them off as its designed to be way more exclusive.

    • @VerangaF430

      still buy a nismo the reason behind is if you are keeping the car over the years the nismo version will hold the value (cos its from the factory and the limited production) and might even double up as for a tuned one no matter how much you spend on it the 2nd hand value drops.

    • @geforce5591

    ride quality can't be worse then a stance nation street car. Just can't. I also warrent that there is room for fine tuning on the suspension that would make it faster and more comfortable.. Something like Ohlins or Moton race or something along those lines with a proper revalve job

    • @Misfiring89
      @Misfiring89 10 лет назад

      They went the stiff route for Nismo because on most tracks the road is smooth, thus its a logical decision. The Nismo N Attack that set the record lap at Nurburgring uses Ohlin dampers on soft setting.

    • @tagerung90
      @tagerung90 10 лет назад
