      Katsuaki Yamamoto いや、スーパーカーというカテゴリーを持ち出されたのはそちらではないですか。値段がどうというのは言い訳にしか思えませんが。そもそもこのNISMO自体庶民の手の届く価格のクルマではありませんし。
      また918は918台予定ではありますが量産車ですよ。決してワンオフとかではありません。1000台以上作らないと量産車とは認めないというレギュレーションでもあるなら別ですが。

    Big, heavy, comfortable GT car with 4 seats, a big trunk, power everything, air conditioning, ect etc.... And yet they manage to achieve such a blazingly fast time.. Simply astonishing.
    I'd like to see what Nissan could do with an uncompromisingly stripped down, superlight, 2 seat, track focused car!

    R35 is what you call automotive performance perfection.
    How on earth do Japanese engineers keep making it faster?
    All this R35 Nismo needs is a Porsche 918 hp boost and it will smoke it out.
    Simply give this car a Michelin Cup tires (like the Vette/Viper and other high-end performance cars) and it will crack 7 min barrier. Absolutely astonishing perfection of a car. WOW! O_O

    • @5571350M8
      @5571350M8 10 лет назад +3

      The tires it used were similar to the Michelin PSC. And this is the Time Attack. Not a production vehicle, faster than the GT-R Nismo Track Pack. Not road/emissions legal.

      +Salman Muhit I don´t think this would be a good idea. The car already is quite heavy. I guess the car would weigh more than 4000 pounds/2000 kilo with the battery packs and the electric engine included which is to much for fast cornering.

    Incredible! The Nürburgring is one scary-fast track! No room for error! This driver has balls of steel, not to mention tremendous driving skills. I loved hearing him describe his record setting lap, pointing out "mistakes' which lesser drivers wouldn't even realize or see. Bravo! (What is evern more mind boggling, seeing this record lap is that, according to F1 Racing magazine (June 2006) BMW engineers estimated that a BMW-Sauber F1.06 could lap in under 5:15, which equals to an average of 237 km/h. Nearly 2 minutes faster than this Nismo is hard to conceive -- but if you watch Schumacher's cruise around the 'Ring, in that famous/infamous lap, the effortless speed of the F1 is clearly evident, and you can tell Schumacher is not really pushing the car at all. Of course, estimates are one thing; actually conquering Nürburgring another! Would love to see what an F1 set up for this track could really do!)

      ***** As you have stated, ALL the above is true about this GT-R. I don't pay attention to keyboard warriors since most of them will never own any super car and are simply fanboys. I also dismiss people that have no REAL-WORLD clue about racing a car but have LOTS of experience reading about them and selecting what they want to believe instead of experiencing it and THEN making informed choices.
      Let's just say that Nissan put MUCH more effort into getting a great Nordschleife time than ANY other manufacturer but it IS a great time, none-the-less. The thing about it is, most buyers will NEVER run a track similar to the Ring. The Ring is VERY rough, VERY long and does not represent anything similar to any other racing facility in existence today. It's a cool place to run a high performance car and has a rich history but in reality, it is one of a kind and not reality for most buyers to ever experience.

    • @JoLXP
      @JoLXP 10 лет назад +9

      Sorry but, innovation happened a while ago when a 918 spyder in street tires that can actually do around 20 miles without burning a drop of fuel laped the ring in 6:57 minutes. That's innovation.

    • @MusikTeleVision1995
      @MusikTeleVision1995 10 лет назад +16

      João Fernandes
      1. The Porsche costs about 5 times as much as the Nismo GT-R and is a very rare super sports car while the GT-R is a mass production car.
      2. The Porsche could do 20 miles without fuel if you charged it and never rev up over 3000rpm
      3. The Porsche would have been slower than the GT-R on the second lap as the batteries were already running low.
      4. There is no real definition of street tires... Porsche might just be putting racing tires on the stock 918

    • @JoLXP
      @JoLXP 10 лет назад +3

      MusikTeleVision1995
      1. Innovation, perfection and record braking times comes with a cost.
      2. Revving it up only till 3000 or not you can still do 20 miles not burning any fuel. And still beat any car around so far on the Nurburgring.
      3.The Porsche will be faster every lap because it regenerates enough energy under braking to always have juice, just like the kers of an F1. And only a professional driver is able to completely deplete it at the end of the big straight and by that time you have a hard braking for the last corners so more juice again(the electrical part was designed having that in consideration)
      4.And no they didn't put racing tires, they used the stock intended tires for the 918.
      And finally the absolute record of the Nurburgring was set by a Porsche 30 years ago and counting...this is Porsche backyard. Deal with it for once!

    • @jamesgjt
      @jamesgjt 10 лет назад +6

      João Fernandes agree and the nismo gtr is aim for fast lap in Nurburgring. yes, Nurburgring ONLY!!! all the setting to optimize for lap time in Nurburgring, including many very good race drivers. but for other supercars, they arent only built for Nurburgring.

    • @JoLXP
      @JoLXP 10 лет назад

      MusikTeleVision1995 but somehow f1 cars have energy available every lap...tard. Nissan faster in corners, nissan faster in the end...but the result, nissan slower.

      I have not heard it was modified. The only real critical stuff I've heard is how long they spent there tuning and testing, that the car isn't in production so it shouldn't have production car credit, and that some of it (like the mesh hood) will not be be an option on the car because it may not meet pedestrian crash test standards.
      No idea about the hood myself. Don't really care. It was a great run anyway.

    • @ThePaperSun
      @ThePaperSun 10 лет назад

      It's modified in that it isn't a regular Nismo. It has extra performance features, but those features are offered to the public. So, it's not modified, but it is extremely limited and extremely expensive.

    the nismo is not a mass production car its a limited production its actually a after market car that is tuned / modded by nismo but sold as a package.
    for your other questions the mclaren p1 has not recorded a lap time yet.
    the gtr is not in same bracket as bugatti or p1 due to a few MAJOR things including
    styling (not exotic / original)
    driving involvement (computer hard and numb)
    name (does draw as much recognition)
    driving "feel" (most people want to feel the road and the turns, not let the computer handle that)
    weight (its very heavy and makes it feel big on the track)
    sound (90% of the noise you will hear is all the air being crammed down its throat)
    over all feel as a car (most people dont feel "special"(lol) in a gtr which is why alot of people buy supercars in the 1st place. why do you think lamborghini gallardo / aventador and corvette zr1 / z06 both out sold GTR (black, premium, base)
    lastly i am still not sure what shallow person would buy a car Just because it makes good numbers...

    All you GT-R haters need to realise that the GT-R R35 platform is almost 10 years old, and it took other car manufacturers almost 8 years since the release of the R35 to catch up to the GT-R. The R35 GT-R even 9 years later can still hold it's own against other cars like the C7 Zo6 that are brand new platforms.
    That achievement alone demonstrates what an engineering marvel the R 35 is!!
    Cannot wait to see what Nissan has in store for their new R36 GT-R platform! And this is coming from a die-hard porsche fan.

      no, the car doesn not hold up vs a z06, and yes we can all agree the GT-R was a great car, it was it's price point that was the most impressive. Nissan never really had the edge on brands like porsche in terms of performance tho and could never quite live up to the extreme hypercars^ good car tho

    I have 2 R32 Nissan GTRs and my new 2018 R35 will arrive here in March so i know a little about Nissan GTRs I have done track time in them and know that they are not an easy car to drive fast until you learn their how to manage them. This lap by Michael Krumm is very very good and if you listen to his commentary you will hear where he knows he made a mistake, some of you may not realise that the commentator is the driver. Yes this car is somewhat modified but so is just about every other supercar that runs at this circuit. this is a 4 seat V6 engined AWD heavy car, give credit where it is due. I don't hate the GT-R. Far from it. The GT-R is a giant slayer, alongside the ZR1 and Viper. These three cars have shown that paying $300,000 for a car makes you an absolute fool. But that doesn't change the fact that THIS GT-R was built and tuned for the 'Ring, and nothing else. It also doesn't change the fact that the GT-R has been aged for several years. It's performance is admirable, to be sure, but it's falling behind. Increases in power can only go so far. The competition keeps getting faster on the track while the GT-R only keeps improving 0-60 times. The GT-R is a pig. Everybody knows it. Can you imagine how GOOD this car could be if it weighed a few hundred pounds less and ditched the under-steer-inducing AWD system? And have you ridden in a GT-R? It rides about as smooth as a sled on a double black diamond...
      And for the record, the LFA is one of my all time most hated cars. I simply don't get the point of such a car. They sit there and tout how much engineering is in it, and yet it's slower than any supercar that has a pricetag that high....It's a ridiculously slow car for how much it costs. $500,000 would buy you a couple of GT3 cars...or a whole fleet of cars that slaughter it (MP4-12C, Viper, GT-R, Corvette)...

      Adeum Deus Those who've used the GT-R in folk races like the Targa Tasmania Road Rally will disagree with you. (in fact the GT-R won that race several times, beating out purpose built rally cars like the Evo and Impreza, as well as its main rival in the said race, the Lambourghini Gallardo).

    Nissan should make an "lightweight version" of this car, more carbon fiber, no rear seats, etc he is going incredibly quick but you can still see that this is a heavy car. They car is visibly fighting its own weight which is why it looks so violent. If you're on the track this is acceptable because you sort of went out there for this purpose. But on a nice twisty backroad this would be annoying and not all that enjoyable. Still love the GTR though lol

    • @superjervis
      @superjervis 8 лет назад

      +frank rs They purposely made it that weight,something to do with better cornering on slower corners as the weight is pushing down on the tires and they say the combined weight with the downforce on fast corners is equivalent to a Formula 1 car..for example the GTR is 3800lbs + 400lbs downforce @ 100mph = 4200lbs Formula 1 weight is 1000lbs + 3200lbs downforce @ 100mph = 4200lbs...some shit like that.

    This the best car ever.. The porsche 918 sypder did a better time only because of the 887 hp engine. If they equalize the power/weight factor on both cars, the porsche would get destroyed badly. 10 secs difference is nothing in a 20km track. The Gt-R is way less powered and also 100 kg heavier (220 lbs). Nissan gt-r nismo 595 hp / 1740 kg. Porsche 918 spyder 887 / 1640kg. So, basically, Nissan can destroy the porsche anyday. And Nissan nismo costs 150k USD, the porsche, 929k. BIG LOL.

      FrankieJames7 It is not a hypercar and yet it still outperforms most of them. 7:08 on the green hell is no joke, hypercar or not. That is quite an astonishing feat for non slick tires. It's just a matter of time before it goes under the 7 minute mark. Not even a lot of hyper and supercars can claim that. That is just how good road legal cars are coming from the factory nowadays. Imagine this vehicle with some slight modifications and weight loss. Under 7 minutes for sure. And please don't insult others based on what they may or may not like. If you don't like the gtr and "gtr guys" then so be it, you don't have to yell and tell it to the whole world and put them down. By doing that you are just being hypocritical and are what you said exactly to Rodrigo, "Just shut the fuck up, gtr guys are the biggest faggots in the car world hands fuckin down." I think you know who the biggest faggot is. Haters, haters like you.

    The ACR is a good car for sure. But it got more horsepower per tonne, torque per tonne, tire that Dunlop GT600 will never matches, load more down force at every speed (220lbs max vs 1500lbs) and lower center of gravity did it in 7:12, GTR Nismo did it 4 seconds faster. I bet there must be something to do with electronic suspension and gearing coz AWD affect when throttle applied. There's many corners here doesn't allow any throttle while turning, so AWD affect maybe 1/2 second to 1 second (rough estimate). Not to mention ACR is above GTR's performance level (GTR is not ACR's competitor) But the result is ACR can't beat the Nismo with all those good shit. Both good cars!

    “Time Attack” car displayed in the camouflage has several additional upgrades. The engine is tuned differently with identical 600-hp and 481-lb-ft horsepower and torque peaks, but the curves are slightly fatter. The AWD system’s torque biasing program is tweaked slightly. The aerodynamics package also differs in a couple very meaningful ways that will likely erode that 0.27 Cd claimed for the mainstream model. The rear wing stands quite a bit taller; there’s an aero fence running along the rear edge of the hood, and the front fenders have little aero “whiskers.” Many of these upgrades will likely find their way into the Nismo Track edition (or whatever they call it), though it’s not clear whether the aero fence on the hood could pass pedestrian crash standards or whether the tweaked engine could be made clean enough to be legal."
    People. This is not the GT-R Nismo that will be for sale. This is not a production car. This is modified.

      @m3sparky1 10 лет назад +2

      all i can see is excuses. the gtr is a better car hands down. zr1 is behind on technology and aid. and you will see the newer version will have alot more of that stuff that you hating on in the new zr1 lol. manuals are almost extinct, electronic aid is being added more and more to every car.

    • @5571350M8
      @5571350M8 10 лет назад +4

      Behind on technology? Is that why the ZR1's self adjusting magnetorheological dampers were so good, that Ferrari purchased the system from Chevy/GM to use on every Ferrari from the 458 onward, yet they still don't have a vehicle with a better Ring time than the ZR1? Some people just prefer a real, full driving experience with 3 pedals and minimal aid so they can develop real skill. The ZR1 is made for those people. It doesn't have to rely on as many aids, and the fact that it's only 1 second slower than the GT-R's real ring time makes it that more impressive. And allow me to reiterate that this car that has set this 7:08 is a modified car that won't be sold to the public. The 7:18 is the GT-R's real legitimate time.

    • @GoonOnFire
      @GoonOnFire 10 лет назад +2

      Vitaly Gusar The only thing the Dodge Viper ACR had was what? ABS in terms of technology. That car was the fastest running car on the ring for a L O N G time, faster than a GTR by far and it had a manual trans and RWD. Your argument is invalid. If you say that the technology is so superior, "Shitty American Muscle" shouldn't even be able to come close to this, or be in competition with it at all, but we are.

    • @sailorenlil
      @sailorenlil 10 лет назад

      ***** The Viper ACR was not exactly stock either. Among others, it used special tires (Michelin R-Compound types that get grippier as they get hotter, and are almost as good as slicks, hence the term Super-Slick tires as indicated in the Wikipedia page). As opposed to the GTR that used runflat all weather tires.

      innie721 sigh...again, this 'time attack' version is never going on sale, the Nismo package that will be offered to the public is *not* this car that set the lap time (confirmed by Motortrend). It will be slower than this car...please do some research, many posters have already pointed this out below.
      So basically any manufacturer can do this, set up their top echelon sports car on steroids, a 'ringer time attack' car and set blistering fast lap times. Please read the motor trend article that was published on the Nismo, Why do you think Porsche called them out few years ago?? Because any manufacturer who has a long list of achievements like Porsche does know when the people are been conned by a lie. Although motor trend made some facts available to the public about this 'time attack' GTR, there is still a lot of in-clarity around this 'time attack' GTRs setup.

      Tobi Ogunsanwo Nope, its not Tobi, stop lying to me and to yourself. A very reputable magazine has already confirmed this is a 'time attack' modified GTR which will not be the same Nismo model that sells on the show room floors. If I am the only one saying this, then you can call me a porsche fanboi or w/e you want, but there are many people who have read the article from Motortrend and have come to the same conclusion, that Nissan has not been very honest about their ring test cars in the past, this is why a reputable company like Porsche called them out for conning the masses.
      This is one of Nissan's 'test ringer' cars not a production model, they released this time as a PR stunt, just to raise the hype around their Nismo package launch....
