  • Tam O' Shanter is the oldest restaurant in Los Angeles. It's been owned and operated by the same family, in the same location, for almost a century. They are known for their prime rib slabs, sandwiches, and A-list clientele, from Walt Disney to Tom Hanks. It's even been featured on shows like The Office, MadMen, and Glee. Insider's Mikala Jones-Fielder goes to Atwater Village to visit the long-standing Hollywood hangout.

Someone needs to tell the manager (and everyone else watching) that if something is served "au jus" that means "with juice." Jus = juice. So the liquid in the dish is Just jus... When you serve it, would you say "here's your with juice? Or "here's your juice?
So we got this straight? "Roast beef au jus" is roast beef with juice. You dip your sandwich in jus... Not in au jus. :)
