Burgers never say die is overrated. The tiny onions, ketchup, mustard and pickle make it taste exactly like McDonalds. Which isn't necessarily bad but I wouldn't call it one of LA's best burgers. Even with the thin crispy meat edges. Apple Pan, Hinano Cafe are some of the best to me. Pie 'N Burger is a good choice. Tommy's is an LA original, so I respect it, but the chili is the star of the show. I was super disappointed with Burgers Never Say Die.
Burgers never say die is a smashburger style, which is the ONLY style I eat nowadays. Pie n Burger is a solid burger, but if you want the perfect combo of umami, carmelized crusted beef and milky cheese, than Burgers Never Say Die is one of the best. Bigger is not always better tasting.

Used to go to The Apple Pan with my dad in 1960, it was our place. I was only 6 so I don’t remember much except sitting at the counter. We both got our hair cut at Dale’s just down Pico a bit.
Best Burger I ate in LA was at Mo Better Burgers, simplicity, amazing cooked and fresh ingredients, passionated chefs, super friendly and nice staff. It was about passion for food and quality not quantity, like in most Burger Restaurants at hot spots. The patty was so juicy and tasty that you did not need any sauces. Just amazing Burgers... Sad they have closed and moved to South Bay with a new owner. Haven‘t been there since, neither LA nor Mo‘s. Anyone reading this, who have been there and can review the „new“ Mo Better Burgers in comparison with the „old“ one? :)

I think the last one was probably really....really good! The bone marrow one is a NOOOO go for me. I can't imagine. The chili burger upset my stomach just looking at it and the one with the thousand island dressing on it looked pretty good as well!

i remember "mo better meaty meat burgers" on pico and fairfax...that place was incredible..but those lazy asses were smoking weed in the kitchen so they closed down cus it took way too long to get your burger (40 mins sometimes)
