I do think that there are places here in the UK that do know the right way to do a burger, but they're perhaps a bit harder to find. One of the particularly annoying things is that a lot of people seem to think that London *is* all there is to see in the UK, which sucks because they then miss out on some great places like Manchester, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield... most towns and cities in the North have something good going on if you care to have a look. And while there's something of an infestation of large scale chain eateries these days, you'll often find it's the lesser known pubs and bars that really make the effort.

@@reisshep My point is that even areas that aren't as super wealthy can be good places for food. Forgive me if it's not, but Bath to me always felt like it was designed for the rich, and so it still has that Central London-ish feel to me. Also, people in general seem to be highly dismissive of the North, when they've never given it a fair chance.

I love london but as a northerner I feel like the north is really underrepresented in stuff like this. I guess there is so much to do in london and the south coast that content creators don’t feel the need to go up north and promote and explore the northern cities, which in turn brings less people there, so it’s like a vicious cycle

@@lckittyqueen Well, this is why I mentioned Manchester, it's literally like, London, but in the North, and not quite as disgustingly rich. The south coast? It's mostly just Brighton, isn't it? Isn't that where all the UK 'influencers' go these days? Presumably they were all following Pewdiepie before he moved to Japan.
I'd love to see more opportunities for people up here (especially for disabled people!), but then again, I've moved to the middle of nowhere, so I doubt I'll see them anyway.

@@lckittyqueen It is because in London you can do everything you can up north and more. However, the north has beautiful villages and small towns which in my opinion showcase England and English culture a bit better than soulless big cities.

This will sound strange, but I’m from the south so bear with me lol. When I moved to NYC, the first thing I noticed was how crispy the bacon is EVERYWHERE. And I mean that in the best possible way, like the bacon on these burgers looked so good. I’m not used to that, because for over 30 years, I’ve grown used to never getting decent bacon when I went out to eat. Didn’t matter if it was on a burger, on a breakfast platter, a bacon biscuit, etc. Restaurants just don’t know how to make bacon properly through a lot of the US for some reason. But in NYC, everywhere I’ve had it was perfect, and I didn’t even have to ask. In the south, you have to BEG them for crispy bacon, and it will still come out half done most of the time.
