Ah! How it all began in Assassins Creed. I remember watching the demo and saying to myself, "I'm definitely getting this game. It looks interesting." Then my brother bought it for me in a trip he made to the US back in November, 2007. Honestly, as soon as I began playing it, I was so engaged with the concept of it and I just couldn't stop playing. Ever since, every AC game that is released makes me feel really excited because of all the features it has. I personally love reading the animus database to know more about the historical sites and events that took place in the game is shown. I even do a little research on the web and book about the time period before the game is released in order to know more about it and be more familiarized with when I get to play it. That's how much I love Assassin's Creed.

This game was the soul reason for getting the PS3. That and at the time I had high hopes for seeing Kingdom Hearts 3 on the PS3... This was the high point of gaming for me. Long long nights back in highschool killing Templars and exploring the middle east. If only I knew what that Templar treasure "apple of eden" would lead me into. All time favorite series. I've loved every single game. Three's missions were disappointing, but had the best controls and flow. Thankfully AC4 focused on stealth and I finally, for once since Brotherhood felt like I was an Assassin.

Ladies and gentlemen, the birth of Assassin's Creed. I honestly wonder if we'll have another Assassin's Creed game as good and as deep as this one was. Remember when Altair and the Modern Day Storyline actually mattered? I miss those days. Hopefully, with the new Movie coming out, we could probably have Callum Lynch as the next Protagonist for any future Assassin's Creed games.

When I first saw the announcement gameplay like 11 or 12 years ago, it just blew my mind. I was like 14 years old and it took me a while to believe how amazing and realistic it looked. This and Crysis. WOW
Theses are true developers showing their gameplay and flaws unlike later games like Cyberpunk which showed a cgi render and claimed it was the real gameplay
It’s funny how 13 years and 11 sequels later all the game added was ships, bigger world, and prettier graphics. Im not complaining, it’s all good. But imagine how vastly different this series would be if they had more development time between sequels.
I know it's funny that back then the game e3 demo would be glitchy but the game is better but now the demo is better than the game take watchdogs for example
i had one major bug and that was no audio for first few installs after that i had little to none, the game felt polished to me after i fixed the no audio problem
it's weird how after watch dogs came out, its critics were so negative that ubisoft made a new policy that the demo in e3 now is fully playable take watch dogs legion for example, they even make a 30 minute gameplay video and confess there's still assets missing, at least ubisoft e3 is now honest

the hell it was....for sure it was very ambitious game, it had interesting setting/time in history and the gameplay was good for its time (aside from your character sometimes miss jumping to his death), but the mission structure was laughably repetitive, you did the exact same thing 9 times, with each assassination mission and aside from that no side quests apart from collecting freaking flags and killing templars....you could clearly see that the first game was in many ways a "prototype" and they didnt have the time to really focus on missions themselves until the 2nd game.
Balnazzardi I disagree. There were so many different things you could do before actually killing your target. Plus the character development for both Altair and Malik was amazing. Plus Al Mualim is one of my favorite villains in the whole series alongside Rodrigo Borgia, Warren Vidic, Ertzo Otto Bherg, Daniel Cross, and Haytham Kenway.

Balnazzardi Well you get to walk around and actually investigate and collect information from your targets and sometimes you can use that information to kill your target easier. It's one of the only things that Unity got right; choosing how you want to take out your target. You could go in Stealthy or you could go in loud. You could Blend in with Scholars to sneak your way directly to your Target or you could fight your way in. And what the targets had to say was actually interesting and sympathetic. Both the Templars and the Assassins operated in a morally grey area to attain peace. Plus Altair's character development and friendship with Malik was really brilliant. And Al Mualim was a pretty great villain. And Assassin's Creed II only built on that. I wish there were more Assassin's Creed games like these 2 nowadays.

i saw that too. the world looks great but the character interaction needs work. when he pushed the girls with the jars it looked really silly, you could see the jar spawn in front of the character models.

So true! For me AC 1 and AC 2 (along with AC 4) were simply incredible. I love all the others as well but those three are such great games.
