I loved these shots. We moved out to the Country 2 yrs ago. 25 yrs in London and I miss walking the streets of London with a camera. Thank you for this. I have only shot cinesttill so seeing this film really makes me want to use it. Loved your photos
I kind of like the burning reds on cinestill but do agree they can be distracting at times. I recently bought an 8mm camera and was hoping to find an 8mm film like Cinestill. Great video and pictures! I will try the 500t.
Boss these are awesome photos. What brought me here? I researched what film stock Stanley Kubrick used for Eyes Wide Shut - Eastman Kodak 500T. Your vid came up - thumbs up! Thanks!
Wow just seeing this now and im amazed with how the photo came out. Im gonna use my kodak 500t tommorrow, and i hope it turn out great just as you did. Btw, i wanna ask what aperture and shutter speed did you use in night photography with kodak vision 500?
firstly i loved these shots! i recently got the same film and wanted to shoot some neon lights/nighttime street stuff as well. can I ask you for advice about the shutter speeds and apertures that you used? also did you use a tripod? thanks so much!
Hey! I can tell you I didn't use a tripod. As for camera settings, for most of these shots I tried to go with a smaller aperture as possible so that more of the scene was in focus. Saying that, it was quite dark for the most part so I probably didn't go higher than F5.6. Shutter speed was probably either 1/60th or 1/125th for most of these!
Great video, really enjoyed the photos you made. Your composition and sense of light is incredible! I’d love to see vision 3 500t pushed. I’ve been considering using that stock for concerts and need something I can shoot at 1600, I know cinestill is good for that but I don’t want to pay that much per roll
Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏼 I don't have any experience pushing 500t, but too would like to see the results. I'm sure it would perform similarly to Cinestill, albeit cheaper, so worth a shot!
Heyho pls check out Silbersalz35 they are selling Kodak Vision3 under their own branding. You are paying for the film, processing and scanning. Everything is included in the Price
@@issafilme I don't know what it was, but pretty sure it wasn't expired. Expired film does usually alter the colours somewhat - the older it is the more it's likely to change!
I’m a bit late to this game but great video and beautiful shots. I just acquired quite a few rolls of this stock and am curious if your pics were done with any filter. Assuming no because of the lights but wondering if you’ve used this stock in daylight sans filter? Or with an 85 or 85b? Cheers.
I get it from Nik and Trick in Folkestone, Kent, UK. You can use it in daytime, but it's advised you use an orange filter to counteract the blue cast :)

Thanks Richard! I'm sure the country has its benefits as well!
First of all, awesome images! I think the overall tones look amazing and now I wanna try it! ahah
Thank you! You should try it, it can give great results
Amazing pictures!
It's so nice to see London through the film.
I'll look forward to your next video!👍
Thank you, that's very kind! 👊🏼
Whoa! Those shots are definitely A+. My favorite one is at 2:30 🔥
Thank you!
Same here!
In my ARG Night Game, I was going for an exaggerated 500T look by using cool light indoors. You're so lucky you get to shoot with it!
Beautiful work
Nice shots

I like them sometimes, but it depends on the photo I think! Good luck with the 500T!
Great video! Keep making 'em. Really liked the background you provided at the beginning, images are super lovely as well :)
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed the vid. Hopefully more to come in the next few weeks!
Love your pics. Unexpected interesting colours as well. Haven't you tried shooting this film in daylight? Would love to see the outcome
I came for the film but stayed for the photos, great pics!
Thank you! Glad you like
Great looking shots, I enjoy this film on super 8 it's so nice in 35mm!

Thanks man, really appreciate that! That's awesome
Same film stock was used in Barry Lyndon, A clockwork orange, Mirror and Solaris.
The Shining too

would also be interested in aperture and shutter speed for these photos
Nice video, I am starting a new project and torn between cine and vision. Just sent 4 rolls of Cine to or processed to test it. Fav shot 2:59 !

@@charliethomas1973 alright thank you!
dope shots!
Looks really cool - did you use any filters outside to adjust the white balance/Kelvin?
So beautiful. Btw, can i know what iso you set on your camera?

where do you buy the film, do you buy it in canned rolls and where do you have it developed? I loved that photo you took on the train.
the shots look really cool, can I ask you which ISO you used to shoot and develop, also some advice about light-metering?
Thank you! These were metered at 800 then developed at 500. In the future I'd probably meter at 400...
@@charliethomas1973 what shutterspeed did u use? What camera?
Why meter 400?
@@alexcornofficial by metering at iso 800, ure technically underexposing the film.
Great shots! Excited to get mine from this film. Now I need to find how to process it :D
How did they turn out?
@@charliethomas1973 pretty good where there was artificial light hehe :D
@@annasssokol nice!
Veri nice colors
Great vids and picts! Are you by any chance using any filter?
Thank you! Nope, no filter
@@charliethomas1973 Great! I'm planning to buy this film soon but I've another question, what is the expiration date on yours? Does it really matter?
@@issafilme I don't know what it was, but pretty sure it wasn't expired. Expired film does usually alter the colours somewhat - the older it is the more it's likely to change!
did u use flash?

Thank you! I haven't used a filter with it before. I imagine in daylight without a filter it has a strong blue cast...
Amazing!!!!!
hey charlie! what's that first song?
3:01 Magic!!!; 🙌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻...
Thank you 🙏🏼
Where did you buy the still film version of this motion picture film? Can it be used in daytime?
I get it from Nik and Trick in Folkestone, Kent, UK. You can use it in daytime, but it's advised you use an orange filter to counteract the blue cast :)
I shoot and develop c41 all the time, and I love cine800. What process would you have to do to develop this with the rem-jet layer on still?
How many f and shutter speed your use?
From memory 1/125th over 2.8 - 5.6
What lens did you use during this shoot/walkabout? Some fantastic photos throughout.
Thank you. It was a 50mm 1.4 Nikon lens
What developer did you use? C41 or enc-2
I think c41
To be honest, I don't know. It was developed at Nik and Trick in Folkestone, Kent
How do you load that film with no leader?
I buy it in canisters from Nik and Trick. They package the film so you can use it the way you would a normal 35mm film
Wow, really nice shots!
I bought this film few hours ago and after this video very motivated to use it, thank you ;)
Ah awesome, enjoy shooting it!
Many have tried to emulate by a blue inclined recipe.
great! which camera did you use?
Thank you! I used a Nikon FM with a 50mm lens for these
using iso number on your camera?
I shot these all at 800 and had them developed at 500, as that's what the lab recommended
@@charliethomas1973 okay, thanks for info. keep up the good work
Thank you, I appreciate the love 👍🏼
Is there a way of properly exposing this film? Or can I shoot this like my everyday Portra 400?
I'd probably meter for the shadows if you can...
Hey where did you get this developed and scanned?
Got it done here: ntphotoworks.com/
Are these shots all handheld?
Yeah
Forgot to say I am in Moscow and cine is US$26 a roll....WTF
Try to get kodak vision3 500t handrolled.
