I’d like to share a fragment of my experience with this game, if I may. I wasn’t the type of guy who got obsessed about videogames, though BOTW helped me a lot a year and a few months ago when I was going through one of my hardest times. I discovered the game in 2017 when I first played on a switch, but it wasn’t until may 2023 that I could really play the game more than 20 minutes. In 2023 I couldn’t finish the game because my PC broke, but for almost a year I kept listening to the OST while studying day and night, and day again. It helped me relax, focus and even have hope. I played 123 hours exactly on my second playthrough which I begun last may. I felt so free, liberated from all the shit and all the people surrounding me, I felt relieved from all my problems, and I felt that I mattered in BOTW. I finished the game in July and five months later I still listen to the OST even in the gym, I’m just mad at this point but I can’t get over it. Sometimes I feel there won’t be a game as great as BOTW, and sometimes I want to go back to my last save just to continue exploring the game, and sometimes just to hear the music and watch the scenery and nothing more! But I feel like I have to force myself to move on, because if not BOTW might not be that special soon. But I love this game more than I’ve ever loved any other game, and I’m thankful it came to my life, specially in that awful moment of my life. But this music… I came back to play both guitar and piano because I wanted to play these songs, and I know that whenever I’m agitated or worried I can calm myself just by listening to Rito Village (night) in guitar. I became a fan of the saga because of this game and now I’m even reading Teilight Princess’ manga. Hell shit if I’m obsessed and I’ve just realised. Jokes aside, I think this game helped me see value in my life again. Link was my companion all the time, and I felt that as we discovered Hyrule together, he began to discover value in his life, something he couldn’t in the past, he had fun even cooking or shield surfing, and so did I. Even without saying a word, I know that it’s the video game character that I relate the most to because I experienced what he experienced. BOTW isn’t a masterpiece, it’s simply the best game I’ve played in my 20 years, and even if I hope that many games will take its place, I know that BOTW will always be overwhelmingly special.

This one and no others. This is the only game I've played and restarted so many times and I still want to play another playthrough! It is magic! I know most people think all this is stupid, but... Thank you for this passage. I haven’t played BOTW but I’ve been itching to for years. I have this sort of bad habit to start games right when the next generation cycle is about to begin or a sequels released and then I feel behind. But reading your story made me feel assured that even if I just play BOTW for the next 6 months and nothing else, it’ll be a cinematic experience through and through.

When I had problems with severe anxiety, my therapist and I created an imaginary safe space in my head where I could escape to when I was too stressed. I described it like the beautiful and calm place on Satori Mountain with the small lake where the Lord of the Mountains lives. It helped me so much at that time. Even if it's just a game, I really could hear the breath of the wild in that world, and it soothed my anxiety so much. Creating such precious experiences like yours or mine, I think that's what makes a game a real masterpiece. I really enjoyed reading your words. I wish you the best.
Honestly i kind of hope they go for the blue theme of Link's attire in the movie. I know green is iconic, but for a film, I do think the blue would stand out well and look great in the environments.

Really love the design. But I also think a few of the character designs in this stray a little too far off from the original designs, like daruks: He looks a lot more aggressive in this trailer than he really is. He is very kind hearted and soft.

The design on champions were kinda off, Urbosa was close but I feel like the AI design didn’t account on Urbosa height and the others were WAY off. Daruk was way too human looking, Ravali was too bulky or puffy and Mipha’s it was interesting but I feel like it wasn’t close to how she would actually look like, those back shots of Link’s didn’t look like him it was too bulky while Link physique is to be somewhat small 🤔
Link, Zelda and Ganondorf are in my live action Nintendo themed show and I envision Justin Bieber, Sophie Turner and Jesse Martin respectively playing them in it. Turner was in “Game of Thrones” iirc, which had a similar setting to Hyrule, so that show’s fans would surely love to see her as Zelda and she can play the role well.
honestly if we got like a lotr style story from this would be sick, as the visuals remind me of those movies a lot and i think it would be pretty interesting to see

This looks awesome! They should do this, instead of a live action movie. I really, REALLY, don't want to see tom Holland play Link. He just doesn't look the part. He's not nearly as cute as Link is!!!
My only complaint is Daruk looks like a buff barbarian type dude rather than a buff yet fat rock dude. He’s buff but not ripped/shredded so less muscle definition and more of a powerlifter build and make him rockier with a bigger beard if I remember correctly

My only complaint is Daruk looks like a buff barbarian type dude rather than a buff yet fat rock dude. He’s buff but not ripped/shredded so less muscle definition and more of a powerlifter build and make him rockier with a bigger beard if I remember correctly
