I have a three year house rental ageement through Airbnb because previously I went directly through the landlord but it was a pain having to pay my monthly payments way in advance when I was traveling for months. So, airbnb is automatically debited. I'll be renewing my lease every 3 years. It's nice to have security, all utilities, wifi and made service included. The best part about my house is the completely private patio. That's a very nice apartment you are showing and s good price for all furnished. In Mexico City nice furnished apartments and houses can be twice that amount, and generally closer to $2000+ on average $2500 monthly. And I looked for several years. I stayed once in a guesthouse in CDMX and my room was 16,000 pesos per month. That's a lot for one room, but that's CDMX, decent furnished housing is high.
Wow, I didn't even realize that you could do long-term rentals like that via Airbnb. Good to know. And yeah, it's amazing how much more expensive Mexico City is. I was impressed with what the apartments cost in Puebla in the building where we stayed - not a bad deal!
Sure, the Airbnb I stayed at is in downtown Puebla, and downtown is best if you want to be able to walk to most attractions in the historic center of Puebla. If you prefer a hotel, look for hotels within a few blocks of the Zócalo (central square) and you'll be in a walkable area. Have a great trip!
