Excited to see your trip to Cholula! I love that you get to know the real Mexico not just the Americanized version. Also love your channel, came across while watching other travelers! I am a fan!
It seems like such an awesome city to explore. Love your new earrings Heidi!! And that food... I'm over here drooling. Neat to see the historical aspects and I had no idea there were that many volcanos there.
Another great video. Really nice Airbnb. Beautiful cathedral. Adam's sandwich looked so good. I love the fact they have a street dedicated to candy. That building with the bullet holes and the tunnels were pretty cool.
Oh, our favourite youtubers! Are you still in Puebla? I am here with my husband, if you want to go for a coffee that would be amazing! enjoy wherever you are, dear ones!
Beautiful city! Those tunnels are incredible! Really cool that you tried so many local traditional foods/drink. I'm so down with zocalos... Awesome just by themselves but that you may run into some dance troupe or some crazy artist or musicians there practicing or performing is so cool. Zocalo is an awesome word, too! Just sounds cool. Zocalo. Ey yo! Zocalo!
What a great video of beautiful Puebla! It’s one of the best cities in Mexico. I highly recommend visiting the town of Chipilo near Cholula (30 minutes from the city of Puebla), it’s a city founded by Italian immigrants that has retained the culture and language. They are known for their dairy products but also their pastas, pizzas, gelato, wine, polenta and Aperol Spritz (great for the summer months)! It’s a foodie paradise, a piece of Italy in Puebla! Weekends are the best since the restaurants are full of life! Sundays are my favourite days to go because they play bocce ball and they “scream” at each other in Veneto (dialect from northern Italy). Other great places to visit are Atlixco which is beautiful and has amazing climate and the cecina from the market is to die for. The Chautla hacienda is beautiful too. And nearby Val’Quirico (a medieval looking town) also great for weekends, especially Saturdays and the capital city of Tlaxcala which is so gorgeous and so close to Puebla ($15 pesos was the bus ticket if I’m not mistaken?). So much to do nearby the city of Puebla!
Hi! Wow thank you so much for all of these thoughtful recommendations! We appreciate you. I wish we could make a little documentary in Chipilo by taking to the locals about their heritage but our Spanish is just not up to it. It’s very interesting that they have held on to their culture and continue to speak in the same dialect. Very nice. We are actually heading north to Zacatlan de Manzanas and hopefully Cuetzalan as well! Thanks again.
@@TheCountryCollectors that would be incredible. The locals are very nice and many will speak English, especially the younger ones. They will help you out discover more about their history and the language is even on the public signage and on the central piazza where the municipality and town theatre are located, next to the Italian church. Behind it is the Monte Grappa which is a little hill where they fought off rebels during the revolution. They have maintained a lot of their culture, and stick out since Puebla is mainly indigenous but adds to the diversity. There’s many other Italian “towns” which were formed as agricultural colonies all over Mexico and they keep in touch (in Veracruz there are two main ones for example in the towns of Gutierrez Zamora near Papantla which has been around since the 1850’s before Italy was even a country, and the one in Huatusco/Zentla called Colonia Manuel González which has bocce tournaments with Chipilo haha and Huatusco has many Italian restaurants and monuments too…the whole central/mountainous part of Veracruz has Italian roots because of this migration…my family is part of this but they went to work in the mines of Michoacán haha so different history! You find little towns like this all over Mexico, French towns, German towns, Japanese towns, etc…but Chipilo has been my favourite since they’ve retained a lot of their culture but also influenced much of the culinary culture in Puebla…probably the Italian restaurant you guys ate at was from a chipileño owner? The Italian Coffee Company (Mexican Starbucks) was started in Chipilo and you can still visit the old cafe in the central part of town…the whole central corridor is a culinary corridor! Highly recommended. It’s small, smells like cows (sign of good food) and the people are so nice and you can hear them speaking in their language from northern Italy which is so cool! If you guys are still in Puebla after Zacatlán, I do highly recommend it! The cheese is to die for here but the pizzas at Al Canton dell’Italian and the food at La Fontana…honestly…it’s a great place to just have breakfast, lunch and dinner and as many gelato breaks as possible haha
Gosh it’s all absolutely fascinating! Thank you so much again for this info! Yes if we come back down this way we will for sure check it out. Thank you!!

This is Paul.... and Gloria in Oaxaca. This was a great video with lots of information, recommendations & prices. We'll be coming up for a week in October for my University reunion in Cholula, but after this video I think we'll stay in Puebla this year. Many of the alumni from the University live in Puebla, Cholula, & Atlixco. We will duplicate your tour so it should be easy. We will do what you did. You'll make it more compact, so we can see more. Afew of the things you recommended we've already done, but it was quite a few years ago.
Hi Paul and Gloria! Thank you so much! Oh that’s great. We’ve enjoyed both places a lot. What a beautiful area here in Puebla. Did you ever make it north to Zacatlan de Manzanas or Cuetzalan?
Answering your question, I never made it to those magic towns. I was in Puebla/Cholula 50+ years ago and I washed a student. I had just gotten back from Vietnam in 1969 and my life was very different then. Of course, Mexico was very different then too. Someday we may make it, but for now we're huddled at home in Oaxaca.
Great job yet again on showing us such amazing places. I love how you two hug bugs give us history and modern art!! Loved this video so much. Have you ever had a bad meal in Mexico? Seems like you have been very lucky with the food. Abrazzos amigos 🥰💗

Hey! I might say this' some of the best and and well informed video I've seen. It's always good when you do a research, even better when visiting a place full of history as my loved Puebla City ¡Greetings from the north of the state! I will recommend you guys to come and visit overhere (Chignahuapan and Zacatlán) maybe there's no much information or guides in english but it's a touristic destination full of nature, architecture, food and lots of culture. Keep up the good work! 👋🙌
Since you are in State#16 it is probably too late for this suggestion, but would be nice to have a short section at the end of the videos dedicated to show modern areas of cities, like Angelopolis in Puebla, San Angel in Mexico City or Zapopan in Guadalajara, for those who enjoy also a visit to modern malls and architecture and not only historic stuff
Hey! That’s a good idea. Others have asked that too but it seems we’re just more attracted to the historic parts of the cities. I’m sure you could find videos from these parts on other channels right? Will keep this in mind, thanks.
If you like sweets you need to go to Morelia. You kind of went around it 🤣. The food there is also pretty good. Not as much recognition as in Oaxaca and Puebla, but it was the traditional cooks from Michoacán who got the UNESCO recognition for Mexican food as an intangible world heritage.
@@TheCountryCollectors day of the death is a good time to be there… but it gets very crowded and finding accommodations may be challenging. Let me know if you want some recommendations in what and where to eat so I can ask my friends that live there.

PS: my arabe tacos were not good, and I feel sad ‘cause was a recommendation from friends.

Thank you so much! We appreciate you!
I am not a huge candy eater but the lime and coconut candy looked interesting. I would as Adam says, Jump into that!
lol yes they are definitely worth a try, that one was the best we had!
🙏

I have not been to Puebla for about 20 years...wish the tunnels had been available. The raisen /cheese liquor hasn't changed! another great video! Thanks kids!!
Hi Helen! Thank you so much for joining us here!
Excited to see your trip to Cholula! I love that you get to know the real Mexico not just the Americanized version. Also love your channel, came across while watching other travelers! I am a fan!
Aww thank you so much! We love it here!
Thank you so much for showing us such a beautiful and historic town .. your recommendations are fantastic… fantastic video guys
😍 Thank you!! This one took all week to make, it was a lot! But so glad it came across well!
Los Angeles, California (original name: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles), was named after Puebla de Los Angeles.
Oh wow very interesting thank you so much for sharing this with us.
It seems like such an awesome city to explore. Love your new earrings Heidi!! And that food... I'm over here drooling. Neat to see the historical aspects and I had no idea there were that many volcanos there.
Neither did we! We were blown away by them! So neat!
Another great video. Really nice Airbnb. Beautiful cathedral. Adam's sandwich looked so good. I love the fact they have a street dedicated to candy. That building with the bullet holes and the tunnels were pretty cool.
Thanks so much for watching!
Yes it is beautiful, historical and cosmopolitan.
👍
Wow! Looks like Puebla has a whole bunch of new things since I was there in 2016. Time for another visit. Thanks for the tips!
Hi Julia! Oh that’s awesome! It’s our pleasure!
Oh, our favourite youtubers! Are you still in Puebla? I am here with my husband, if you want to go for a coffee that would be amazing! enjoy wherever you are, dear ones!
Hello! No unfortunately we are not there anymore but thank you so much for the offer!
@@TheCountryCollectors enjoy so much the coming destinations! :):):)
Zocalo. Ey yo! Zocalo!
Haha now that little tune is going to be stuck in my head now! Every time we go to a new one that’s what I’m going to sing! I love it!
Zocalo means socket; a construction socket or a base to build on to on.
Fantastic video yet again. Thanks for taking us on your trip to Puebla. Great job Heidi and Adam we will see you next Sunday have a great day.
See you Sunday! Have a wonderful day too!
Thank you!!
PUEBLA😁,incredible views,,, an anfrogble experience🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵
Haha 😂 oh man!! It sure was ribbiting! 🐸
You've already sold me! Just wow, that library. 😮
Incredible history and architecture here!
Good morning!!! A beautiful day in Puebla!! I didn’t know there was snow in Mexico. Lalalala bamba???? Lol yummy food. What a sandwich!! Adam your jokes???? !! Nice earrings Heidi!! You’ve met such nice people along the way!! You guys work so hard!! Another great day !! Thank you 😍
I think there’s a place you can go skiing here too!! Mexico is always surprising us!
Why the constant of many people is to believe that in Mexico there is no such thing?
yes, it snows in México specially in the half north forests in mountains in winter

I don't just watch for the travel tips, the banter between you too is hilarious :D Thank you!
Haha glad you enjoy it!!
Excelente. Que bello video. Soy poblano y han mostrado todo lo espectacular de la.coudad de manera súper entretenida. Gracias
❤️🙏
Unfrogettable episode 🐸 😂 👌💚 everything does happen 4 a Raisin 😅😅👌🙌💜
Lol he was on fire
Great job yet again on showing us such amazing places. I love how you two hug bugs give us history and modern art!! Loved this video so much. Have you ever had a bad meal in Mexico? Seems like you have been very lucky with the food. Abrazzos amigos 🥰💗
Hi Nancy! I don’t think we’ve had a bad meal on film days because I tend to do my research but we absolutely have on the other days of the week!
@@TheCountryCollectors good to know! You must spend a lot of time on the research because you give great info and advice! Thank you 😊
@@nancysantamaria3924 oh yes the planning takes me at least a days work!
Fantástico video again guys….I just love the way you show my country to the rest of the world, always respectful and amazing
Hi Mauro! Thank you so much!!
@@TheCountryCollectors I highly recommend. Orizaba Veracruz. The best coffee plantations. World wide. Cafe parroquia in the port of Veracruz
@@angelherrera8077 we are so excited for that!
Very thorough tour. Love all the history. Mmm malate and chalupes 🤤. I challenge someone to make a compilation of Adam's puns. Talk about a dentist's worse nightmare and my sweetest dream. Wow that is a very ornate church. The tunnels look freaking cool to explore. Awesome video as always.
Thank you so much for being here!
Awesome you guys. Love all the great content. Cheers from Progresso.
Thank you so much Casey!
Hi guys l glad that you enjoy our country...Is a pleasure that you aré here and.show the real México to all...thanks ..regards

Puebla is pretty, I regret not taking my mom there. She wanted so much to visit this city.
💕💕💕💕 Sending you lots of love
I love your videos, I’d love to pitch in but I don’t find the right link. SUGGESTION why don’t you add a supper thanks link on your videos?
Hey! Thank you! Not sure what that is but in the description of our videos we have an option to support us - the platform is called buymeacoffee. 💕 www.buymeacoffee.com/collectors
Love the way you make the vlogs ❤️ you both are amazing.. I watch every and wait for your new video always 😘
Love from Indian 🥰
Aww 🥰 thank you for your kind words!!
Oh how I miss the food, especially the cemitas. Adam that one was massive holy cow. Chalupas are a favorite as well.
I know! It was massive. So so tasty!
Thank you so much!!
Been looking forward to this one - a little late today, I had some stuff to do around the house but I'm here now!
That’s okay! Happy to have you here whenever you make it by!
Puebla is so beautiful I’ll be planning a trip here soon 😍
It sure is!! That’s awesome!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing! Yes we plan to visit Michoacán later in the year.
@@TheCountryCollectors day of the death is a good time to be there… but it gets very crowded and finding accommodations may be challenging.
Let me know if you want some recommendations in what and where to eat so I can ask my friends that live there.
We appreciate you!
Hi Country Collectors, I'm from Puebla City, from Analco Barrio, You should've been there, I grew up in the early '60s, right in front of the church built in the XVI century! We love you, thanks for being in México 🇲🇽🇺🇸 de❤️😉
Wow 🤩 how incredible. It’s such a beautiful country thank you for sharing it with us.
What an amazing views and landscape guys.
Thank you! Happy to see you here!
Que chula es Puebla
So cute!
15:35 see you in Capilla Del Rosario made me so happy, you know that 🥰 Fun fact, I didn’t know that now the cost is 20 pesos, when I was there in 2019 as free, and was on Wednesday, but I think it’s ok because it needs maintenance/preservation. PS: my arabe tacos were not good, and I feel sad ‘cause was a recommendation from friends.
Hey! Yes now you pay 20 pesos but I think that is fair too. Aww yeah we had some that were really dry too. Not so good . Prefer tacos Al pastor all day!
Wow such a fun city! And the food looked awesome! 😋Love the architecture and the underground tunnels. It’s on my bucket list now. (As are so many others). Love watching you two. Thankyou such a chore having to wait til next Sunday for the next adventure.
Hey Patti! Aww 🥰 haha it’s a lesson in patience! It’s hard for us too - we wish we could make 2 videos a week but they are so time consuming we just can’t. We appreciate your support!
Wow this is so lovely and wonderful vlog guys ❤️🥰
