It supplies so much lived-in culture. Just watching the scaffolding go up and down buildings along with stone quarries being turned into construction zones is cool, and then to supply important figures with historical monuments across the town is even better!

The scale of demolition during the project is impressive in its own right. I can relate, having built a medieval city (in creative) myself, constantly expanding it and changing the vision, moving the buildings. Your city is on another level tho, i really appreciate the real life inspirations and how i can recognize the exact buildings used as a reference.
i love how buildings are redone again and again, making it more beautiful than before. even the cathedral's nave is redone in 24:40, polygonal form is much more beautiful and complex than rounded.
The one thing I love about this project was the consistent and practical use of scaffolding during construction. I've seen so many people use normal blocks for scaffolding before when we have the actual thing for more uses than what you'd get out of dirt or leaves. It made watching the video engaging oddly enough! Good work!
I still use a mix because while scaffolding is a great way up and down I can not be bothered to sit there for however long it takes to build another stack a few blocks over just to extend in one direction, so I scaffold up and then use dirt between scaffold pillars lol

you know what i love about these videos and cinematics the most? the fact that the camera moves around so much that you never actually get any clear views of what the different elements look like. some slow/static 3/4 shots, like the thumbnails, every now and then would be great.

I'm speechless. As the video goes on it just keeps getting more impressive. This is definitely one of the best minecraft projects ever. There are probably larger builds, or ones that took even more time, but i don't believe there's any project out there, that's as great as this. The cooperation, the planning, the dedication and the practically flawless execution. All to come together and make a landscape that is actually coherent. Not just an amalgamation of diffirent projects and styles, but actually one enormous build. It looks like it all belongs there. It looks like every wall was planned from the start. To do all that in minecraft *survival*, at a scale so enormous, that is nothing short of breathtaking. Congratulations to everyone that worked on this.

I couldn't FATHOM the grinding, the planning, the coordination, the building. Such dedication... This is absolutely a marvel to have witnessed. Very inspiring project (not just for minecraft!). I'd love to see more details, like the tower roofs of the cathedral or Windows in buildings, similar to my interest in these things outside of Minecraft.
It's more beautiful and majestic than anything I've ever seen. I was ecstatic to see the view of the last city. It's a shame I don't have the chance to run around there myself. Hats off to everyone who made that city. This is a miracle, really.

Can we just step back and understand how crazy big that Cathedral is? That statue next to it in the thumbnail looks puny by comparison, yet its kinda close to the size of the Statue of Libery. So imagine a building in New York City, making the Statue of Libery look like that. Absolutely unheard of. It just screams this almost Souls esc high fantasy and I love it!

It's a delight to see so many different real life inspired and historical buildings /fittingly/ arranged in a megabuild while still being well designed as stand alones. Be it historicist designers at work here or the intend to melt different periods and cultures (ita + ger) into the city's image, it is amazingly designed. From the nod to the coloss of rhodos, to the potentially Ponte Vecchio, onto a castle tower much like the Reichsburg Cochem, itallian renaissance city palaces, to a stunning recreation of an enlarged version of the Santa Teresa del Bambino Gesù in Anzio and so much more. I hope many more people watch this video and get inspired to pick certain builds they find aesthetically pleasing. Thank you lots from this amateurish architecture enthusiast.
It's projects like this that makes me wish more people would play minecraft so you and your helpers could get the recognition and admiration you deserve. i use dirt and cobble scaffolding often because i am too lazy to farm bamboo T_T

I actually built a few smaller or bigger projects, but never on Survival. That's one of the best things I've seen recently
