Entirely doable right now, actually. Probably even in VRChat! You just need a script that takes the raw Minecraft save file and rebuilds the map in memory then reprocesses the polygons of the boxes into contiguous quad planes that are part of the same mesh object in occlusion cells, but use a repeating texture for the UV seams of the individual blocks. The big hiccup in performance of Minecraft is the fact it loads *so many polygons at once*. Unity doesn't really like scenes with millions of objects in them, either. So if each MC cell is a mesh object (excluding the water plane) that solves that problem. Honestly with how big some of his builds are, you're more likely to run into issues with subtle floating point errors than anything. But yes, VRChat should be able to handle his builds as long as they're converted efficiently.

Großartige Leistung. Hut ab. :) Wirklich geil. ;)

Not sure what's more amazing......how good this turned out or that someone could spend that much time on it.
Hollow buildings lol, so lame.

this is so beautiful, i wanna live in place like this one , mad respect
I love this! So many builds I see try to emulate a city but there's just far too many buildings with too large of a focus on the main structure, this is how a city should be!
Fantastisch gemacht! Ich habe nun schon einige Jahre kein Minecraft mehr gespielt, aber nach diesem Video kribbelt es mir wieder etwas, auch wenn mein Haus seit 12 Jahren immer gleich aussieht.
This is the most impressive minecraft video I've seen yet. Stunning!
This is spectacular, don't ever stop building!
