Well worth the effort to get all the rust before you paint. Back in the day these were well known for how fast they rusted and its a miracle so many have made it this far. Great job your doing.
The second mine arrived in the country you could see it deteriorate straight away. I knew then it would be a full strip down job. Happy out doing it though 😀
It's great to have a reasonably solid base to work from. Mine is a '73 240Z UK car and unfortunately took a serious amount of restoration/fabrication. I'm up north near Antrim.
@@sparkiesshed3818 good stuff I'm here in Co Meath so not to far from you mine is well gone have it over 2 years now and still didn't get starting on it have all my rhd bits now how you finding the conversion??? Keep up the good work they are lovely cars 😍😍
what kind of paint remover did you use? and, if you said it, i didn't hear, what did you use to prevent flash rusting? i just bought a '72 240Z, and i'm itching to get started.
To be honest I used brute force. Any of the strippers you get in Europe are limited in strength due to EU environmental legislation. They done remove shit 😃. Wire brush all the way
Good edit mark. She's coming on strong. Solid man.
Cheers George. Getting the hand of it now.

Depends on the day 🤣
Honestly it does depend on the day.

Yeah I chose wisely with this one. Had a 280zx a few years back that was a nightmare. Decided to be easy on myself this time.
Buen trabajo👍
Gracias
Nice to see another z getting restored Mark. Solid looking car compared to mine what part of the country are you in???
Hey Darren. Up in Athlone. I had another rusty Z before and decided to chose an easier one this time :-). Where are you located?

To be honest it is easy so far. It helps having it properly stripped down though. The rest as far as I can see is just bolt on so happy days.
