Datsun Z. Seam Sealing and Priming. Paint Removal Without Sand Blasting. Pt 2 240Z 260Z 280Z

To all the Z Heads out there.
This is a continuation to the front end work on my 280Z Resto Mod project. This is the final steps of getting the rust out of the front end of the 280Z. Then the old Metallic Brown Paint must go. (Datsun were thinking forward painting their Z in a rust colour)
This is all preparation for seam sealing and priming which will be in the next episode.

Thanks for pointing out that the seam sealer, won't bond over the rust inhibitor. Can't wait to see the next video.

I'm at a similar stage with my z.
Just wondering what type of primer you were using?

I went with Zinc182 as a surface coat. Best take every measure to fight the rust. Might not be as important down in OZ though.

Seam sealer usually works best over epoxy primer, not so well to bare metal.

That's great to know. It didn't play well on the steel unless it was roughed up!
