While the lazer is super handy (and wish I had one) the fact is in this day and age the best thing one can do is have the entire body dipped and chemically stripped and then later ecoated after metal work is done... especially on something that's already swiss cheese. Cuz theres gonna be hidden rot that you don't see now that will eventually come through years later.

You were maybe right but they have already been saying something like that tipping is not taken into the consideration due to the fact that liquid would get between the panels causing issues after the fact. I don't know if it would be an issue or not.

So I'll just say the same thing everyone else has said (only differently): any other car might have gone straight in the bin, but as long as you can still (mostly) read the vin, then a Cosmo is pretty well worth building from pictures n drawings! And you've got way more than that!!
    Cheers from Canada eh!

It shows here in the Netherlands too: Japanese cars are TOP quality bar rustprevention….
Understandably so as 95% of their products is sold in the far East where rust is not much of a problem.
Still a shame that the Dutch importer of, for example, Toyota didn’t have their (at least High End-) products protected with a Dinitrol treatment.
Of a dozen Dinitrol-Rustprevent Stations here in the Netherlands I believe only two are still in business, mainly protecting Classic Cars….

My Volvo 1800 was almost that bad and I really should have chemically dipped it, but issue is nearest place to me is like 400 miles, and shipping companies wanted over $10,000 EACH WAY to transport the car. That’s clearly the “piss off, we only want corporate customers” price.
