While the lazer is super handy (and wish I had one) the fact is in this day and age the best thing one can do is have the entire body dipped and chemically stripped and then later ecoated after metal work is done... especially on something that's already swiss cheese. Cuz theres gonna be hidden rot that you don't see now that will eventually come through years later.

You were maybe right but they have already been saying something like that tipping is not taken into the consideration due to the fact that liquid would get between the panels causing issues after the fact. I don't know if it would be an issue or not.

So I'll just say the same thing everyone else has said (only differently): any other car might have gone straight in the bin, but as long as you can still (mostly) read the vin, then a Cosmo is pretty well worth building from pictures n drawings! And you've got way more than that!!
    Cheers from Canada eh!

It shows here in the Netherlands too: Japanese cars are TOP quality bar rustprevention….
Understandably so as 95% of their products is sold in the far East where rust is not much of a problem.
Still a shame that the Dutch importer of, for example, Toyota didn’t have their (at least High End-) products protected with a Dinitrol treatment.
Of a dozen Dinitrol-Rustprevent Stations here in the Netherlands I believe only two are still in business, mainly protecting Classic Cars….

Something like this will be worth alot more than their total cost when its completed. Lots of older cars 90s and decades before go for silly money these days (not just the performance variations). Hell a mint Vauxhall Nova sells for more than new price and thats before adjusting for inflation... some old fords go for well over 100k... (never pay that for a ford imo but hey thats life😂)
Bare in mind as well they are doing the work themselves which saves thousands in labour alone...

@AJB1 this is also true. People dont restore classic cars purely for financial gain. Some people just love the car. I maybe should have put that in my original reply. Whats that expression? Labour of love?
