Oh man, cruel. Just found this. I'm in the UK, owned a 1990, 2000 - 2003. Stock pipes so not as fruity as this. Also had a Ducati 888 at the time which tended to give me arse ache after an hour or so of, say a 150 mile round trip London, coast, London. The Radian was an armchair ride. Loved sliding about on that seat, too. Dick-slam into the tank on the brakes, lean well into the 90° bend, give it a handful in 2nd, fire it out, weight on the pegs and momentum eases you back. Given me a stiffy thinking about it. Glad it's in my memory bank.
@@LegalLowGround beautiful bike. For the sake of conversation, it's important to compare apples with apples; the Radian is a 600, the MT10 a 1000. Incidentally, one of the reasons why I prefer retro-bikes is because most of this modern stuff has such tiny seats!! No way to get comfortable on longer trips and forget about a passenger...
I had an 86 back in 89. Loved it, crashed it into a fire hydrant running from the cops back in my younger years. Lol. What do you mean having fun with the radian, you never got out of 3rd gear...thanks for the trip back to me dumb youth!!!
Sounds excellent! I can get a well maintained one as my first bike at the moment, but I've been looking at young, low mileage bikes so far so I'm not sure what to do. This bike looks like a lot of fun as a first bike though.
If you haven't done it yet, yea there's one bolt holding each muffler on, its a slip on that connects to the exhaust right around the foot peg area. Its a better idea to replace the stock with a similar looking slip on instead of running straight pipes depending on the state your driving in. NY isn't allowed to have modified exhaust but if you can make it look "stock" you're good.
ShelbyGT500T I got an 86 with 10 k on it I had a k100 swapped even... this thing is small n fast... I wanna make it tastefully loud and you got it ! Yami’s always kicked ass in the power dept
Trust me it is VERY easy to do, it is only one bolt that holds the muffler part to the passenger foot peg. Take that one bolt off and slide the muffler right off!
Me están vendiendo una 1987 pero hay que armar el motor ya que se le hizo ajuste nose si si me la recomiendas o no y la dejo pasar espero tu respuesta saludos
It does sound lovely.
Can't wait to get mine running again. Right now I can't even open the gas cap.
Had the same problem when I bought one. With a little bit of force got it unlocked and just had to lube up the hinge.
Am I the only one that notice the vice grips? Are they holding the mirror on?
Yeah haha they're holding the clutch bracket in place because the screw had broken off into there. But it's fixed now
No i seen them too...lol
Way cool... I really wanted one of these back in 1987. Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW R1150RS.. in the garage
My Buddy bought one, it would keep up to my Nighthawk S.........crazy machine
Sounds wicked! Nice vice-grips!

LOL - sounds like a 1960s VW van. Great bike, I owned a 1990 Radian, red. Miss it dearly.
1960 Vw van ?? Do you have any problem on your ears ? The rotation and sound it is so different !! Far ...
Sounds nice !
Bike sounds awesome where is this looks like Phoenix Arizona
These bikes are sleepers. They look like an innocent girls bikes... until you look at the speedometer and realize your Trucking along at 100 mph LOL
You should look up the 2021 MT-10....basically a brand new version of that...and FAR faster!

Old video. This looks so fun

Does the steer has a lock?
Why’s it so loud? I wiped mine out and beat the pipes off this is what it sounded like.and why's it held together with "vice grips"??

A well maintained radian is worth all the money, but i understand you wanna go for a youngster as well.
A good radian is better than any new bike.
sounds nice for a smaller bike
Not too small at 450 lbs and 600cc able to do 125+ mph
What do you mean by unbolting the mufflers. Remove them?

My still sitting in my garage. Leaking from the carburetors, somewhere. No idea!
Just to let you all know the exhaust is stock with just unbolting the mufflers and taking them off!
Looking to do that with my radian did riding it straight pipe damage anything on your bike since you straight piped it ?
It shouldn't, maybe just a few backfires
What kind of exhaust is that ?
Straight piped my dude 😂😂😂🤘

what kind of pipes do you have?
It's actually straight piped, it's just the stock exhaust without the mufflers
Nice sound, I also have a Yamaha radian and I´m trying to make it louder

oh thank you so much, I'll try that, I hope it works.
Trust me it will and you'll LOVE the result, just like I did!
I’m trading a k 100 for one of these the k is too heavy and tall....
