Fork Seals Replacement | 1989 Yamaha Radian YX600

This video is the process of replacing or changing out the fork seal on a 1989 Yamaha Radian YX600. Started by undoing all the bolts on the triple tree the break calipers and the axle for the front wheel. Removed the front fender, removed the break calipers then removed the wheel. Removed the forks then removed the drain bolts from the bottom of the forks and drain the oil. Clean the fork and everything inside. Assemble the forks with the new seals and reverse the disassembly process.

Hey man, not sure if you’re monitoring this 2 years later, but great vid and super helpful so far. Although, I’m trying to remove the 8mm drain bolt from the bottom of my forks and it seems to be turning the spring inside, but not coming out. I’ve got the whole assembly clamped, the bolt turns, but isn’t unscrewing, if that makes sense. Any tips?
Nvm. using an impact worked and helped break the bolt out of the threads, for in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

You can lay the bike down pull the side cover an not loose any oil. Tighten the clutch springs by hand only.
