Can you help me I tried to put the bolts on for my new egr valve and they won't go on all the way
I wish someone made a video on Ford ranger 2.3 engine the EGR on that truck is really hard to get because it is located behind the engine.

I change my 98 Ford Rangers 3.0 L EGR valve yesterday quite excited about it when it was completed. Thank you for your A1Auto video it was down right helpful.

I'm finding different answers to this. Does a 2003 ranger, 3.0l actually have an EGR valve and if so, where is it located?
Is having a bad egr valve can cause high rpm , thanks.
Can you clean it with a starting fluid? ....to the EGR?
Not same engine configuration on all 2002 models, I have a 2002 4 cylinder 2.3 and the EGR valve has no easy access, it is located in the back of the engine.

The nut is located in the back no tool I have can fit any recommendations. It be so easy if it was located in that location but mine is in the back near the windshield wiper motor

If you haven't got it done I figured it out. Get a flare wrench that adjusts or a short one 27mm flare wrench. Crows foot will also fit that attaches to your ratchet. Mechanics won't tell you.

Yes it is possible! if you’re getting bad mileage.. check your EGR valve and change your plugs and wires. 😁

U say its 1998 thru 2012 ranger but u lie. The 04 2.3 liter ranger is way different and u forget to mention that.

Yea, but you will figure it out when you lift the hood up.
I know you yanks think the world revolves around Amerka ! But it doesn't. There are Ford Rangers, in Aussie, 2010 called a Ranger PK 3L diesel 4 X 4 that are of a different makeup so it's hard to get the right answer for a ute Ranger PK Model 2010.
Even the manuals are ALL Amerka models.

So my dumb ass snapped the head of one of the bolts off when it was almost completely in. Am I fucked?
your a shop and dont have a 27 m wrech ? so you call a plumber 😂 ,the problem with a pipe wrench is it will crush the fitting ,,,,,not good.
Use the correct tool next time.
