- Because i keep seeing them, i have to say this. this video is about Toho kaiju that might not comeback in 'MOVIES'. Singular point is NOT A MOVIE it's a TV anime. if you pay attention throughout the video i do bring up other media these creatures appeared in like Comics and televised shows.
No hate, I just wanted to clarify that.
Pacific Rim Jet Jaguar By Diovega
Music
Silent Hill 2 OST - Alone In The Town Развлечения
Jet Jaguar did appear in a recent anime adaptation. He was even the main protagonist of sorts.
the second coming of Jet Jaguar...
Jet jaguar needs to return. He is the best kaiju ever created( barring the big G himself) and in the legendary universe if possible.
Yeah, but that's the tv show, but GREAT for him
I know...
Godzilla singular point is amazing 3:27
He said films not shows
Before i start seeing them, yes i know Gabara, and Jet Jaguar are back. HOORAY!
Though keep in mind this video is going over MOVIES and not TV Anime.
Also i know Mothra Leo is male. i didn't it realize i referred to him as female before i finished the video.
In The Anime Godzilla: Singular Point
Exactly my point@@TheOfficeandGummiBearsFan
Same for Manda (possibly) and Titanosaurus (in which the kaiju has a different look).
you're reasoning is strong. Who knew Gabra would make a comeback in 2020?
Hahahahahaha....yup.
"He must have programmed himself to grow." Is my favorite line about Jet Jaguar. I laugh every time. it's just so absurd, but I still love Jet Jaguar.
taking coding scalability to a whole new level!!!
Me too
Fuck yeah 😂
Bro I love Jet Jaguar too much
Space Godzilla being called "Space Godzilla" probably doesn't help his situation either.
That's easy just have him found frozen in ice like GHIDORAH and they can say he landed here millennia ago
I’d rename him to “Godzilla X”
can we just stop being edgy and name him “godzillas brother who got addicted to crystal meth”
@@user-sm1uw6bo1h Yes
He'd be at his best chance of return with a mild redesign and a big rebrand, taking him away from just being another Godzilla
Crystorah or something
The two monsters I really miss the most are Megalon and Titanosaurus. I hope they both return in future Monsterverse movies.
Well is anime good for titanosaur
@@gojiboi8908 It better be.
Titanosaurus is in the new anime
@@slothy7640 it isn’t Godzilla’s first form is just based off of him
Well you were right with megalon
Great video! I'm a fan of *Varan.* I think TOHO should consider bringing him back because he can fit into the realm of *"serious-toned"* Godzilla films. I also think *Varan* would be great as a different kind of adversary for *Godzilla* to fight.
I agree!
I also Agree
Personally, I think if Godzilla 2014 had other original monsters instead of the M.U.T.Os in it they’d be Varan and Hedorah. I don’t know why but they just seem perfect for the role.
@@MaceDeMarco2010
Considering that Banno led the way to Godzilla 2014, Hedorah makes sense.
my godzilla series I thought of has varan fighting bargon (sorry is I got that name wrong)
Rule 1: Never say never.
2:53 With Gabera, he may only appear as a fictional character in someone's mind, but that is a stepping stone to a bigger point: There is potential for a Godzilla-sized Freddy Krueger. Just imagine the potential one can have from a character that only appears in the 'imagination' or as a 'fictional character' invading the heads of anyone, even kaiju themselves.
Perhaps on Monster island, Gabera is invading the monster's dreams, and Godzilla fights him in a dream-like world.
I like maguma
Honestly given how popular he is, I could see toho trying spacegodzilla again though I imagine his origin story would be VERY different.
His origin story would probably be very different
He didn't FUCKING have one
@@themostbritishpersonalive868 Wasn't he just a buffed up clone of godzilla some aliens made?
@@Avokrypha maybe he was maybe he wasn't movie didn't say
@@themostbritishpersonalive868 well I think somewhere maybe not in the movie but two origins were formed one was after mothra went into space after fighting godzilla with battra some of Godzilla's cells got sucked into a black hole the other one was the cells could have come from Biollante
To me Dogora is the most under appreciated and underrated kaiju from toho. It dwarfs every movie kaiju to date and is almost virtually indestructible. A truly terrifying alien kaiju.
If memory serves me correctly. The issue with Jet Jaguar was more along the line of he was to similar to Ultraman and the threat of lawsuits if used again.
If so that's honestly stupid. Jet Jaguar and Megalon in terms of design and concept were made literally by a child who just so happened to win a contest set up by Toho, offering to make the winner's kaiju into a movie. Of course it got turned into a Godzilla movie with Gigan because execs were afraid it was gonna do poorly as its own stand alone idea.
@@linksnivey1161 Actually the kids original design was altered heavily to look like the one in the movie.
Godzilla's team up with Jet Jaguar after saving him is one of the most iconic moments ever in the Kaiju Genre .
The reason that Varan's role was minimal in "Destroy All Monsters" was that the suit was degraded beyond use when reclaimed from the props warehouse what was shown on screen was the puppet used for Varan's flying scenes from its original move that was still usable. Varan as well as Anguiras were both set to appear along with Barugon in Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S. during the Millennium Era but both were scrapped to use Mothra and King Ghidora who were far more popular kaiju in an attempt to increase ticket sales.
That was GMK
Bar*u*gon is a gamera kaiju. The one you're thinking of is Bar*a*gon
Griffin later went on to become ruler of The Island Of Misfit Toys!
Griffin is in roblox bro
LOL!!
I hope varan, baragon, anguirus, gorosaurus, kumonga, and kamacuras appear in future monsterverse movies someday
I would love legendary to add jet jaguar and space godzilla to their roster
Funnily enough, the Snowman partially returns in Godzilla: Rage Across Time in the first issue. He can be seen looking out of a cave
I have a strong feeling that the Snowman and Toho Kong are one in the same.
(#7) no, that isn't Mothra. that is her son: Mothra Leo. the only female of that entire trilogy was Leo's mother in the very 1st film. all of Leo's transformations is still the same creature just with new upgrades. if we got to see him transform, it would most likely be new transformations and inspired designs since it wont even be the same exact creature from those films unless they were to establish a connection. I'm definitely sure that we'll see a return of Mothra Leo & Battra someday since they do have a devoted fan base and are unique monsters that expands the Mothra family tree in an interesting way.
Zilla has been regaining popularity, given he got a new X-Plus DeForeal statue released that sold out quickly, and an inclusion in the Planet of Monsters trilogy novel. Even got a BluRay of his movie. Now there's fans creating statues and articulated figures of him. I'd kill for him to have another movie appearance, or anime one.
A monster I hope returns, or well...debut in that case. Bagan. By god they tried like hell to make him a thing and I hope they manage to fit him into something at some point, with the number of attempts at bringing him to life they did, they must have been proud of that monster to some degree and I'd really love to see him come to life. His appearance in the SNES game feels like such a tease.
they should bring back the heisei series and use scrapped ideas like real king ghidorah, bagan, and bringing back anguirus and varan.
Nice channel, glad it came up on my recommendations
Thank you for including mothra's other forms from the spin-off series.
They're not really talked about in videos so it was nice to see.
Jet Jaguar almost definitely appears in a modern film, they're in love with mecha these days and super powers, and if they never sign off on a crossover with pacific rim, you have to think they'll use him as a similar option.
Frankenstein is public domain tho, They can still use him
Also I think King Kong is PD as well.
I think they wanted to use Frankenstein iconic design. If you make it more original looking then it wood be fine but then.
@@johnmyers4442 King Kong is not public domain. Frankenstein is.
@@Underworlddream And they already did make him look original already. So what's he even trying to say?

I never heard about it until this video! What would be offensive about it today?
@@larrycj4382 It depicted an ethnic group of mountain dwelling people that had a lot of problems and persecution from the Japanese Government over the Years. I don't remember all the details about it, but the Japanese version of Half Human depicted them in a very negative light.
@@loanaoftheshellpeople5627 Thanks for the explanation.
Check out archive dot org.
It was pulled, as noted, because of the racism. I'd never thought about the Japanese not being the indigenous people of all the islands before reading about this movie, but it makes sense.
Regarding the Griffon, a monster called the Griffon was actually considered to be the antagonist for the original script for what became the 1998 film.
Nice video, brings back so many memories of watching all movies on Saturday afternoons. Then me and all my friends acting like all these monsters. Long live Jet Jaguar!
Jet Jaguar will RETURN. I promise
Well he's in singular point, not sure if that counts
IT DOES!
I like Space Godzilla. Out of all the kajia monsters, he is the coolest to me.
I like the sister of Godzilla I can't remember now to spell her name.
@Bluezilla I think so but 8 remembered one I like more moonhidora but she's a fanmade one
I feel like you could bring him back, as a final evolution of Orga.
Idk, could work
He could work, As an alien parasite. It scans the earth for its Apex creature, and turns into it. This ofcourse being godzilla, But since its an alien parasite, it could alter godzilla to how it wants, becomign SPACE-GODZILLA! And then causing havoc, and godzilla has to stop it.
Honestly Space Godzilla's origin could be made more serious with the right tweaking: make some parasitic alien living crystal in the style of the Monolith Monsters or Tiberium from _Command and Conquer,_ give it the ability to clone things it assimilates, and then do that to Godzilla and bam, you got a serious SpaceGodzilla out to absorb the world in its crystalline body or something, has a lot of potential for body horror, and I'll be honest, I would probably combine elements of Shin Godzilla for good measure, to really push that alien aspect of SpaceGodzilla (after a fashion) since Shin's fifth form is basically a Xenomorph from _Alien_ with Godzilla's dorsal plates.
I have to admit tnat my first Godzilla film was the TriStar one, and well, the first thing that people watch in a franchise tends to be the one that sticks to them personally, and this is the one that stuck to me. Though I've reconciled with the fact Zilla is a separate monster from Godzilla, I kinda wish the hate of Zilla would kinda die down now, as its kind of getting a bit tiresome and old-hat, and for me personally, is kind of an old wound that made me swear off the Godzilla franchise for my entire teenage life because of how taxing it was to my state of mind, and see Zilla given something new that builds off the animated series based on it.
ayyy keep up the quality content
#5. Yeah, I can't really see SpaceGodzilla coming back any time soon either, especially in the MonsterVerse. Sure we've had Ghidorah and MechaGodzilla, but their origins fit within the real of that world and has made sense with each iteration. SpaceGodzilla's origin is not only absurd as all hell, but he comes off as a Ghidorah/MechaGodzilla repeat: a rival from space; an evil twin/clone (yes, SpaceG is a mutant not a robot, but it's the same category), two things we saw already except he's both in one. Not to mention making another enemy that is also based on Godzilla himself? Yeah, SpaceG is cool and all but he really is an unoriginal creation, even Toho knew this and why they had to step up their game and gave us Destoroyah.
#3. Zilla could work as a Gojira subspecies that instead of evolving for strength and power like Godzilla he'd evolve for speed and agility at the expense of sacrificing that strength. Even though the monster has been redeemed over the years and is becoming more accepted, especially due to the MonsterVerse succeeding where TriStar failed, I do see how it'd be difficult for Toho to bring him back in any future Godzilla projects - American or Japanese.
#2. 10:11 My own ideas for Jet Jaguar is that instead of being a giant mech as some would argue he's instead a straight up superhero, a guy with an strange alien suit composed of nanomachines and other alien material that would allow him to change any size. Basically the Green Lantern, Ben 10, or Blue Beetle origin. Yeah, I get that is radically changing the character and origin, to which again one would ask why don't I just make an original character instead, but it's a cool idea to think about.

Godzilla Singular Point: hold my beer.
Frankenstein wasn't licensed, it's a public domain character so long as Toho doesn't violate certain copyrights and and trademarks (such as Universals' classic Boris Karloff make-up design) there's nothing stopping them from including him.
The Toho Frankenstein had "Boris Karloff-esque" make up due to a partnership with Universal at the time. Would be a difficult task to redesign him.
Some of these might be in that Netflix anime movie or whatever, but they've yet to reappear in a *live action* movie, and I doubt they ever will.
Poor Jet Jaguar, he mother never really love him :(

Hey the Varan suit just rotted over the years and the flying prop was what was left so if the suit didn’t rot he would be used way more.
From what I heard. Toho was thinking of releasing Half Human on VHS, in the 1990s. But decided not to release it. From there, bootlegs of the japanese cut started to be made.
Varan might appear actully but they would probably scrapp the idea of varan he is the favorite of the guy who sculpted gmk king ghidorahs head
A BIG fan of those 'Monster movies' from Japan, you answered Many of my questions of those unknown monsters, like Varan (didn't know its name, but do see it flying off - "Destroy All Monsters"). But a Walrus???? What did it sound like????!!!! Griffin & Jet Jaguar..... WOW.... Never saw those...MayBe J.J.
Otherwise..... Good video, Nice narration, well researched!!
OH and I Almost forgot............. FRANKENSTEIN -giant??!!!! Never saw that one either. Although the 'War of the Gargantuas' was my favorite movies.
There are a lot of monsters not mentioned on the list that will never return: Titanosaurus, King Caesar, Megalon, Manda, and whatever those bugs things were in Rodan.
Meganulon, they did come back for Godzilla vs. Megaguirus.
King Caesar was in Final Wars, and so was Manda.
Manda was in 2 or 3 movies. King ceasar was in 2. I believe the bugs from rodan ended up being connected to megagiraus.

I think the grifins design is pretty cool
When godzilla singular point directors see this:
So the griffin in this contex is basically just a manticore without the scorpion tail?
If I remember correctly mechani-Kong isn't a Toho creation but actually originated in the old king kong cartoon.

Frankenstein is in public domain so Toho didn't lose the rights!
The Griffon looks really good, the special effects are high brow.
I subscribed.😇
Fun video! And I want to give my take on some of the kaiju on your list. FYI - I became a Godzilla/Ultraman fan in 1965. My family was stationed in Okinawa at the time. OK, on to the list!...Mecha-Kong. Too bad. He was a great villain, and genuinely creeped me out when I first saw him on the big screen in about 1970. (A "kiddie-matinee") ..... Alas poor Gabara. He was not such a bad villain. But he appeared in a schmaltzy movie. I saw this when it was released in the U.S. It was a movie aimed at kids, with a nice anti-bullying message. I was a kid when I saw it. And I thought - to heck with this crap......."Zilla." Thank God we won't see her again. I didn't experience such anger again until I saw The Last Jedi....Jet Jaguar - Yeah, he's very likable. But he is kinda an Ultraman ripoff. Just saying...... I've saved the best for last, Varan, who's a real heart breaker. True, overall his debut movie deflated in the 2nd half, but he's got a great design, and his destruction of the mountain village is one of the best tokusatsu sequences ever. You failed to mention he was slated to make a comeback in Kaneko's "GMK" movie - but Toho switched him and Angirus out for Mothra and Ghidora. Love Mothra and Ghidora, but that was a bad call.
Godzilla singular point: *observe*
Godzilla singular point
Jet jaguar and megalon my boy's. ❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍
I wanna put forth the argument that Biollante is less likely to be touched by TOHO than Space Godzilla. The real reason Jet Jaguar had been shelved despite his popularity was due to the fact he existed as the result of a contest. As a result, the kid (now adult) who made him gets royalties for creating the character. Biollante is in a nearly identical situation as she was created as the result of a contest. TOHO is a very frugal studio, so that's why. It's also more likely to be why they may hold of on Space Godzilla rather than "he's to outlandish of a character" as Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla did cause problems for TOHO on a monetary end and I'd argue his origin and concept is less ludicrous than anything from the Godzilla animes.
That artwork of Gabara is actually really cool 3:46
Honestly I feel like a lot of toho monsters could work well in films where they fight each other and just leave Godzilla out of the mix every now and then. I mean, I love Godzilla, but there are some fights I would love to see that I feel can't happen in a satisfying way if Godzilla is present in the film, since he has to be the one to kick ass
Jet Jaguar is essentially Ultraman and Mazinkaiser combined and was created by a fan in a contest created by Toho. The original name by the fan was Red alone. Toho changed the name themselves. Most likely to sell movie tickets. So basically as long as Ultraman is still making appearances; Jet Jaguar is as well. And JJ did come back in singular point.
Zilla was the father of the Kaiju called Godzilla which was made to resemble Godzilla more. And Godzilla did have his atomic breath. In fact there was an episode in which Zilla fought his son Godzilla.
Finally; if the snowman does come back it will most likely be in a King Kong movie.
I really love space Godzillas and Maguma
If legendary ever wants to make mecha Godzilla movie, jet jaguar should show up as a prototype
Odd. Thought Megalon was gonna be on the list.
Re: Zilla. The best comparison I have ever heard is "Zilla is to Godzilla what Rodimus Prime is to Optimus Prime."
They could have saved the Godzilla 98 film if they had renamed the monster and the film to "Godzilla: Gorosaurus Takes Manhattan". Zilla is a horrible Godzilla but a passable Gorosaurus. Besides that, the Godzilla 98 movie is a copy of "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms" movie.
That's horrible take.
Used to watch these old Godzilla movies as a child... Scared the heck outta me!
Nice
If SpaceGodzilla and Destoroyah appear again it will ruin the memory of the characters. I hope Zilla (not the same as Godzilla 1998) and Leo appear again
How will it ruin them if they return? You don't like them because I like them
I’d kill to see Zilla return. I grew up on the 98 film so it would make my day if they brought him back. Varan would be cool as well.
Love that cartoon and also a cool design. Suck that they can't redeem him.
Paper: Jet Jaguar and Gabra wont come back.
Godzilla Singular Point: *"ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT!?"*
P.S: I hope they bring back baragon too..
and Varan too
Nice video man! What editing software do you use?
Final cut pro, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop.
i think jet has a good chance to return as he has been gaining more popular recently
Mothra will most likely come back as a more powerful transformation based of the end credits scene of king of the monsters
Toho loved JJ enough to bring him back in Singular Point, so there's that I guess. And even if the Snowman wasn't from a banned film, how would Toho even make him a worthwhile kaiju?
Yeah, he's got the size on humans. But any decent-sized kaiju can just step on him, and he's done.
10:16
To be honest, godzilla himself from that era is also pretty much a different character when compared to modern godzilla, so I don't see much of an issue with that.
Specially if we get a badass design like that
Singular Point: Imma bout to end this man's whole career.
He specifically said movies
Imagine if the next film is scar kings crystal takes control of a mechanikong that apex is building
The gargantuans also. One film I think.
i wanna see megalon return they were a cool kaiju
I wouldn't mind seeing Titanosaurus again.

Thank you, and i have that movie set for a future video with other Korean kaiju. Look forward to it. :)
@@PaperFinz keep up the good work.
amazing. it's 2021 and I'm still discovering new forgotten Kaiju (Snowman)
Nuts. Space Godzilla is a perfect fit for the inevitable alien invasion story that so many kaiju movies use. Dump the silly black hole origin and have be a genetically engineered alien superweapon designed to counter Godzilla. The story practically writes itself, and as you said, it's an awesome monster design. We could do with a return to the invaders-with-monsters plots for a bit, if nothing else as an homage to the older days. Plus you could do things like team-ups with the other "on-call space monster" types like Ghidorah and Gigan.
Wow never knew the snowman existed it gives me the freaks when you said the shadow realm
Jet is back. Let's go
Paper finz: says jet jaguar won't come back
Godzilla singular point: well.....
Also, Snowman got a sweet gig on "Attack on Titan" 😉
Little did he know jet returned and one of the kaiju that has the highest chances of returning is space Godzilla
When I make Kaiju animations, I tend to star the more obscure ones.
Griffin made a little cameo role in the opening logos of Godzilla KOTM.
King Caesar probably should have been #1. Dude has his own song and everything. Crazily underused gem of a character.
Godzilla singular point: so you've chosen death
Zilla vs Gorosaurus is a great idea that nobody takes seriously
RUclipsr Vhrano made a cool video of the matchup
"puts in jet jaguar"
me: well that one didn't age quite so well
What about Gezora, and Ganime from Space Amoeba, Sanda and Gaira from War of the Gargantuas?
Michael Dougherty has said he is interested in adding Sanda and Gaira to the Monsterverse in a future film.
(This is just something I thought of whilst watching the video) A way they could bring Jet Jaguar into a film and keep the size changing power without making it too lighthearted whilst keeping it more realistic (still a bit sci fi but hypothetically possible)is to use the concept of nanomachines. They could add a subplot where a swarm of seemingly evil nanomachines escape from a lab and start eating rubbish and pollution to grow grey goo style (tricking the audience to think its Hedorah )then when it gets big enough a little bit splits off then takes a humanoid form revealing it as benevolent Jet Jaguar as a plot twist then when a kaiju battle involving Godzilla (maybe Godzilla rampaging or battling another kaiju) the human sized Jet Jaguar reforms into the greater nanomachine mass which changes into a kaiju sized version of Jet Jaguar which enters the battle. This could allow Jet Jaguar to have new abilities similar to the weapon the suit Iron man has in infinity wars .
It would be fun to see godzilla in jet team up again I grew up watching the old godzilla movie's seeing godzilla have a tag team match with jet was great loved it as a kid in would love it today if they would bring him back that would be awesome
jet jaguar came back in godzilla singular point
If I remember correctly Jet Jaguar was a concept piece. They were basically using that robot for proof of concept for Ultraman. So honestly I don't see him ever returning in Tohos live action Mosterverse they are planning. However alot of the rest of these could return because they do plan to make more movies based in the same world as Shin Godzilla not sure of the end game there.
