Even if the monster's are kinda stupid and are just there to pad the movie out, but Monster Island Buddies has made it impossible for me to actually hate any Godzilla monster.
The fact they not only win against him but also survive their fights with Godzilla is pretty telling... Except for the one larva twin who died between Mothra VS Godzilla and Ghidorah the Three-headed monster. RIP

It was because adult mothra weakened godzilla first before dying and then the mothra larva was able to hide and web godzilla. 2nd time was because kiryu gave godzilla a big beatdown but kiryu also got beatdown and eye taken out so the mothra larva's came and they also saw their mother die so they got mad and webbed godzilla when he was stunned. So not really because they needed lots of help to do it
I think Minilla is actually strong in a certain perspective, if you think about it this way: when Minilla gets bigger and keeps doing his father's training he would probably turn into a powerful and brave foe who is also willing to communicate more with humans
What about Gabara? He's the weakest monster by far! He didn't even dare to fight Godzilla for Christ's sake. Anyway, nice top list and I agree with most of the chosen monsters (except Ebirah. He should have been replaced by Gabara in my opinion).

I recall in Terror of MechaGodzilla. the girl in the movie mentions the monster from the sea Titanosaurus a peacefull creature that is used for Evil and was going to join other monsters and one of the monsters was called the Terrible Mandon the snake like creature shown in this video. and I don't recall Mandon at the time being in any early Godzilla movies.

Minilla's smoke ring did manage to choke out one of Ghidorah's heads. Plus, Angirus's record isn't that much better than Minilla's, he's never won a fight in a movie without Godzilla's help.

I hate how manda is a badass in the comics and can take on some strong monsters while the movie versions of manda just get easily bodied by the gotengo or can't even fight monsters. At least in singular point a manda had the balls to at least to attempt to fight final form godzilla. It died obviously but at least it had the balls to fight. Unlike destroy all monsters manda
I agree with all of this list but I gotta respect Manila for at least puting the hurt on some of the other monsters even if it's not by much I mean I'm not disagreeing with how weak he is but like what you said he's just a kid and like in real life as soon as he grew up he started to really put the hurt on other monsters
I do think that the giant condor and the kamacuras are probably the weakest kaijus in the godzilla franchise only because the giant condor got his ass kicked really that quickly when Godzilla just blasted his ass with just a single atomic breath attack to knock it out. As for the kamakuras he’s also the same level of weakness as the giant condor only because during the sequence when minilla was born and attacked by the kamacuras and afterwards Godzilla arrived to kick some kaiju ass and just beat the shit out of them with no difficulty at all like when he used his atomic breath just to burn them to death or when he grabbed one of the mantises and just beat the shit out of them
Doesn't Minilla end up riding around in a pickup truck with the kid and Shotgun Hobo in Final Wars? He seems to be skirting dangerously close to human size. All that he is missing is Ben Grimm's stolen overcoat and an escape into the sewers.
Gorosaurus is probably weaker than Manda and possibly Ebirah as well. Zilla is definitely weaker than Manda And Ebirah. Even though Zilla was once Godzilla, it isn't anymore. Toho made Zilla a seperate monster and he is killed easily in his own feature movie and lasts about 1 second versus Godzilla in Final Wars.

@@michaeljason2593 yes. Zilla is the weakest of the TOHO monsters. She was running from helicopters, jets, and basically anything bigger than guns. TOHO also hates Zilla so it makes sense that they designated her as being weaker than all of their monsters.

They knew all of this was going to happen in the hyped up American remake and let it ride for the money with barely enough time for Tristar to rush in the flammable breath scene. Final Wars jobber Zilla is just their way of projecting how salty they were about gambling on a fart and losing.

The only reason Zilla isn’t actually very weak, in my opinion, is because if its young mature, then you’re fighting the devil without a crucifix. Zilla is so fertile that you’d probably lose your sanity trying to wipe them out on your own.
When naming the giant Octopus from "King Kong versus Godzilla", you might have to amend your own rule here. Perhaps you know that in "War of the Gargantuas", a similar monster battles the green gargantua in one of the opening scenes.

Ironically, I think the Mothra Larva are some of the strongest! Because they actually beat Godzilla twice!

Originally Kong was the first choice for fighting Ebirah. When you watch it from that perspective it makes more sense as a Kong film.
