I love you give the reasonable priced detectors a go! They make it more viable for people to take up the hobby who don't have hundreds or thousands to spend.

100% Rebecca:-) like you say not everyone has hundreds of pounds to spend on detectors and I've found that some of the cheaper ones are just as good at finding stuff as the more expensive ones are :-)
Ps avg depth beach work here easy 10 to 13 ins foot paths half ins it is so hard drought ground is like steel . Local dam at 55% ground 10 foot from water line ok dark soil like yours need big big rain then that unit here will kick it to another level.
Great vid as always gents and even though I'm in the 800 camp, it's nice that you give other machines a run out (keeps things fresh 😁) The next thing I need to say is THANK YOU! I have dug up a few items in the past that I have brushed aside as furniture fittings, but no . . . they were 'top jaw screws' from a flintlock pistol! Every day is a learning day. I bought mine 3 weeks ago and am thoroughly impresses with this machine. I have found 😢🎉🎉 100 coins with it and a 14k daimond and gold ring. Also found all sorts of bullets and casings.. I literally started detecting 3 weeks ago. I just got my mL85 earphones on thursday and love it. My only question is do you guys always dig such big holes? Personally, I think the less impact you leave the better the odds people will let you detect. I have a technique that locates the target to inside a 3" diameter circle. Most of my digs are very small to minimize the impact of my activity so I'm just curious. I can understand every now needing a larger hole but I've never needed to digg anyt this big. Is there a reason why? Absolutely love this macine and am totally blown away by it's $269 price. Thanks for sharing!

A lot of machine for the money. Been considering one for some time now as a beginner. Some impressive depth on it too.
100% agree so far mate, love the feel of it and love the fact I have so many different coils to play with from the vanquish and equinox ranges :-) if your in the UK we have a Discount code to use l, it might not get you a discount but it give the channel some recognition:-) TMDC10 at LP metal detectors

Great vid lads, I bought the X Terra Pro and I love it I'm not sure why perhaps it's the challenge of using a starter machine, my goto machine atm is the Manticore and iv got a brand new still boxed-up Nox 900, and haven't felt the urge to unbox it as I'm still having a lot of fun with the X Terra pro.
How you find that Manticore mate, I played with one for a day and was unsure, I put it down to only spending a day with it and that I need a bunch more hours. Totally different beast from the Equinox 800 that's for sure :-) I'm loving the x terra for sure hahaha be hard to give this little beast away at the end :-)

Thank you for your commitment gentlemen. Haven't even heard of the XTerra until now but I'm swinging the AT Max until it can't swing no more 😄 1, I don't get out there enough and 2, It serves me very well. If it broke I'd probably fix it. Failing that, I like the look of the Deus 2 but the 800 is a good machine too. Not that I've tried them myself but like what I've seen. Tell you what. The Quest machines are pretty good. Bought my brother a Q20 for 200 with discount. Ground balancing and goes pretty deep for a budget machine. Can't go wrong with a Vanquish either mind you. Sorry I waffled 😄

any new machines takes getting used to. even these so called big channels that use a machine for 5 mins before releasing their preferred settings videos, must have had a few hours playing with it.

This Jason is so true, the setting we decided to use on this video was based on the settings we use on the equinox, yes different machines but still had to start somewhere hahaha cheers for watching.. Mikes land to sea 4 x 4 grass over soil settings

hi guys i picked up a nearly new used a couple of times xterra pro, padded case, spade and a trowel. i had some ham radio equipment i wasn't using so did a trade. had a go in the garden and found a 2 pound coin. just need a field now or a new friend with a field lol.

Depends but I'd say most are about 6inches and we have had some targets deeper than say 12 inches
Love the video. I’m so confused I have a at pro vanquish 540. I don’t know what to get next. Want to go up but not sure where to go. I can’t get over why didn’t they make this multi freq ? I read somewhere that the beach modes are multi freq not sure though. Any guidance would be great. Btw subbed. You guys are fun. I’m from spring texas.

Been using mine for about a week park detecting and I've been smashing the pre decimal vdi not to different to the simplex plus which I've used for the last few years with great success the xterra is a great machine I'm going to get a 6" nox coil for it next week looking forward to seeing how it does the switchable frequency is a bonus I sent the simplex ultra back in exchange for this and I'm glad I did the ultra needs a few updates before it beats the xterra that's my opinion based on my personal experience using both machines found the ultra extremely unstable vdi also the fact that if you get nox coils for the xterra and decide to upgrade to the nox you already have coils something nokta doesn't do

I was just about to buy the vanquish 440 but quite upset it's not waterproof
They are such good machines and because of the multi frequency technology they work amazingly on wet sands on the beach.
