My wife surprised me with this detector today and got it during Prime day. Heading to the beach next week, and really looking forward to finally doing some detecting!

I got 1 through amazon with a free pin pointer promo. Ive been back through my yard, 2 beaches and ive found more than i have with the garrett ace 150. I give this detector a 4 outta 5. Today i found 2 rings in 1 day, 2 different locations. Same location i used to search with my ace 150.
Is that coil considered a 10 inch? My understanding is an 8 inch coil goes 8 inches deep and a 10 inch coil goes 10 inches deep. Or is that only for larger objects? Is it that coins like quarters can only be detected up to 4-5 inches with an 8 or 10 inch coil?
It looked more like a 11" coil but I'm not sure. In general the bigger the coil the deeper it will go but I don't think this detector has replacement coils?
If your going to get a different coil I would just say for an extra 50 bucks to get the nokta simplex light which will go much deeper then the voyager and will be cheaper in cost of adding another coil to the voyager

First day at destin fl Beach and I found a modern penny had a few targets on detector but wasn't able to find anything. I think I need a sand scoop but it was good experience

Yeah got a 800 used the bloke said used it for 10 weeks took long service off got it for 900.00 bucks first ring i got a was 2400.00.
I doubt it was worth 2400.
