I'm not finished the video yet, but I wish you mentioned findx isn't water proof, and the findx pro is water proof
I heard the findX is very similar to the simplex plus, I had a simplex plus for 2 months before I upgraded to the legend, I loved it but I really wanted adjustable recovery speed more then turn to park for more and field for less

Can honestly say that the Nokta Legend is a very versatile detector. It has many different settings to customize to whatever situations are on a site. It has a special way of talking to the user, once you get tuned in to it. The Double Score is also a very capable detector that most people will be impressed with. The only difference I see in those two based on my personal experiences is that the Legend unmasks easier and has more modes/options but seems to be heavier. The Triple Score is nice due to the extra coil and headphones coming with Pro Pack. The LG24/SC24 coil is a killer when it comes to separation in trashy spots.
I couldn't agree with you more! All of this information is very true. I really think that if someone didn't have the money for a Legend, and bought a Triple score, they would be very satisfied and get such a great package with the pro pack. I absolutely love the Legend! Wicked happy hunting ✌️
Just picked up the Double Score as backup to Legend. Hit an old homeplace I've been working for a few months and it pulled out a 1897 Indian Head. Oldest coin gotten out so far. Impressed with the Double. Gave the FindX I had to the landowner and his two young sons. He has given me access to multiple old homeplaces.

I bought the FindX Pro. My first Nokta machine and will be my last. Was very disappointed with it. Minelab will be m go to.
Sorry to hear that. If you are a daily or even a weekly detectorists, the find X or find X pro, is not the machine for you. It's a strictly entry level machine. Extremely basic and made to be compared to Chinese models, and that is why it is very cheap. It's actually not a terrible machine. I can say that the ultra is much better and I have dug stuff at 15 inches with the Ultra. The shaft on the find X is not sturdy and the machine itself is not super deep not does it seperate targets super well. Can't expect high performance from a machine that is $150. I have used a ton of machines. There are a lot of great ones out there, I truly don't care for the build quality of minelab and have seen way too many issues with friends machines. So many that leak, not a single legend or simplex has had water intrusion issues, that's a fact too. Nokta is also a great company and stands by their product with confidence.
I'll never forget when I was at a dig in New York and was with a very good friend of mine that uses a nox 800 and I was using my simplex + and I dug a prize token in the field and he had swung over it to hear it as we often compared signals before we dig. A few minutes later, he said, here's a good one, sounds just like the token you just dug. So I swung over it and said, it sounds like iron to me. That's odd, it sounds really good with his equinox. He dug up a chunk of iron! My $230 simplex didn't only outperform his $900 nox, but I went home with a ton of stuff (all Natura hunt relics and coins) and the 4 others that all had nox 800s went home with little to nothing. Obviously you have to get over stuff to find it. But that's something that will stick with me forever. He even bought a simplex after the hunt 😆

That would be interesting to see. I do love the way a DD coil works though. Definitely better separation with DD.

Nice overview of the model range. I wish Nokta would re-do the Legend’s control buttonts to be like those on the Double & Triple Score or ar least make them back-lit. That said, the Legend and Triple Score are great SMF values. I ended recently purchasing the Xterra Elite Expendition pack. A great time to be in the market for a new detector no matter which you may choose among these offerings.
There is definitely a lot of machines out there to choose from right now, a machine for everyone! I have definitely heard that a lot for backlight keypad. Not sure why it wasn't done. Doesn't really bother me as I don't hunt at night often. As long as the screen lights up for me 😆 good luck and Wicked happy hunting 👊

Oh wow, that's awesome! I have had so much fun with the simplex. Not the best machine for wet beach but will do ok on dry sand. It's incredible in the dirt! The Legend is a beast and for the price of the triple score, it's incredible!

Youre welcome! I appreciate that! I used an AT Pro for a while before I started using the Simplex+ in 2019 and I liked it so much more than the pro almost instantly and the more I learned it the more I liked it! The Legend is an absolute beast and I truly don't think you will feel the need to have a different machine. Use it mostly on base setting ,then slightly tweak to your soil, digging style and location! Good luck and Wicked happy hunting! 👊
@@wicked_digger This is the most useful thing anyone could share with new Legend owners. Little small adjustments at a time has proven to be the way to go. If you go to extremes on the settings or go notching stuff out you WILL be missing good targets.
@RobNC-OG thank you! I agree and have seen it happen many times! If it gets put of control, do a reset and start the settings over from default. The default settings are actually very well done!

I appreciate the comparison. I love my Simplex Ultra. I am a simple man and I hunt together with my wife, mostly in parks. I had a Legend, which my son is now using. I found the Legend too heavy for me. The Legend shaft also developed a creak (subsequently replaced lower and middle shafts under warranty to no avail) which my son has now remedied with tape. I also did not like the fact the Legend controls buttons are not backlit. The Simplex does everything we need it to do and finds the stuff!
Are you sponsored by Nokta or are you a dealer? Otherwise, why add the Score when you had the Legend? I am thinking to give the Triple Score a go as it seems to be everything I like in the Simplex Ultra plus its multi-frequency.

I would like to do more in depth comparison with the machines, maybe 2 at a time or 3 at the most and show a bit more in the future. I have not had a squeaky shaft, but I have heard of others. Spray the shaft with a little silicone spray and that may help, I did that with my simplex+ a few years ago and it never did it again.
I am a Nokta Nomad. I don't technically work for them and don't get paid. I do promote the company and their machines. I also attend events from time to time. Something I wanted since 2019 when I got a simplex and I worked very hard and contacted Dilek from Nokta many times about it 😆 Quarter Hoarder actually spoke to her and told her that I would make a great part of the team, so I am very thankful for that!
The find X will be given away at a club event I am holding in November. I am the president if my local metal detecting club.
The triple score is a very nice machine. Close to the Legend for sure, just not as many adjustments.

Can you let me know if the Triple Score (with it's added features + hardware) is worth the additional $200.00 Cdn., Compared to the Double Score?
I am seriously thinking of gettting one of them as my 1st machine, but wonder if I really need the additional features, Headphones & Coil being a newbie to the hobbie? I'm also wondering if I will get confused with all the additional settings of the Triple Score?
Seven hundred bucks is already getting to be a bit much money for a new hobbie that I "think" I'll like, but I also am of the mineset that it'd be nice to have the option so I can progress with the more expensive Triple Score should the hobbie become something I treasure (pardon the punn lol).
I would definitely say yes to that. I need headphones when I detect! I truly don't like detecting without them. You can hear so much more with them, especially deeper faint tones. The small coil that the pro pack comes with is also extremely great for trashy areas and/or a homesite.
No doubt you will love it! There is so much history, lost items, and true treasures out there! It's so much fun!

Do you think the triple score will be less of a machine then the legend ? im torn between machines. Legend, triple score, Xterra elite , nox 700 Help! I was going to get the legend because its on sale and has a free pin pointer, BUT! worried about 2 year old tech vs brand new tech. Whats your thoughts? I do have experience with metal detecting ( use to run a nox 600 but sold it ) IF you had to buy one machine and only one machine right now where would you money go?
If I had to buy one, it would be the Legend right now. I absolutely love it, and while the triple score isn't too far off from the Legend having that package with the pointer is definitely great and a good savings there too. The tech that is in the Legend is still very up to date and with the new beast mode update, which I believe is the same as relic mode for the triple, it truly doesn't need anything else. I honestly believe that the Legend is one of the best machines out there right now and can not be beat with its price. One of my good digging friends uses a deus 2 and there has never been a thing his machine can hit, that the Legend can't. We go toe to toe with everything and some instances the Legend has been better! He actually recently sold his deus 2 and bought a Legend. It's almost double the price. I'm pretty sure both the triple and Legend will be better than the elite and the triple is probably comparable to the 700 or even the 900. The Legend will be better than both for sure

Thank you! You cam set it to vibrate and will feel it in the handle, or you can purchase water proof headphones that you can dive with.

I have a Nokta you don't have. The Nokta Makro Racer. I'm happy with it. Any idea how it compares with the newer ones?
That is a great machine from what I understand. I haven't used one myself. I know a few people who have and still do! Fantastic machine and I think that the biggest differences from the newer score and Legend machines, would be weight wise and just modern technology.
@@wicked_digger It even have a vibrating handle. I have pulled some hammered with it. One thing that I miss is the option to change color on the screen and flashlight. Seems no detector have red light! I tape a red transparent plastic for night use. But it's time consuming to put it on and off.
@@mossig yeah, I'm not sure the lighting like that has not been installed to conserve battery power. It's definitely useful

@@derglenn Lack of backlit buttons is one of the biggest disappointments on the Legend. Mine also has a creaky shaft. Great otherwise. My son is using it now. I am quite happy with the Simplex Ultra.

I do have the Garrett ace apex the double score and the triple score all 3 machines are great but the other 2/3 have more in them than the garret
the only reason why I didn't go for the legend is because of lack in case of the backlit buttons if it had that I already bought it
@@derglenn I am thinking of adding the Triple Score to our arsenal. I would likely keep the small coil on the shaft. That should be even lighter than the Simplex Ultra. I didn't like the extra weight of the Legend.
