Vinegar in itself is already a preservative. Since the pickling juice was boiled, this makes it last longer as a preservative. After it has turned green in a day or 2 you can store the pickled garlic in the refrigerator to make longer shelf life..

There are two conditions to pickle Laba garlic doesn't turn green. One is to use low-temperature stored garlic. Another condition is to have White Vinegar(5% Distilled Vinegar), in enough acid conditions will turn the garlic to green.

Zdravím Vás, predem dekuji za video. Zkusil jsem naložit před 3 dny, uz chytá barvu...jen celkem štípe,tedy zachoval jsi hodně ze svych vlastnosti. Je to normální, nebo přidat příště vice octa, cukru atd.?

To make the garlic turn green, there need to be a change in temperature. Garlic contains allicin and sulfides. Low temperature activates allicin while higher temperature activates sulfides. When both are activated, they react to turn garlic green. First, put the pickle jar in a warm oven or under the hot sun for a few hours. Next, put in the refrigerator to cool it overnight. Repeat the process if necessary. The garlic will turn green.

1kg is a lot of garlic for one person to consume if none of the other members of the family like to eat it. I don't think it will last for a long time without preservatives. Better use about 250gr and remake when it's over.
Here's the trick to make it green. Garlic contains allicin and sulfide. Allicin is activated by low temperature while sulfide need higher temperature. Once both are activated, the garlic will turn green. Put the jar in a warm oven or under the sun for 3 or 4 hours. Later at night, put the jar in the refrigerator overnight. This change in temperature will activate both allicin and sulfide and the garlic will turn green quickly. Hope this helps. Repeat if necessary

Thank you for watching and your try my recipe and you can follow my method step by step: 1. Peel the skin of the garlic, then cut the bottom ends and damage off the garlic cloves if there are any. 2. Sprinkle the salt and strongly massage the garlic to reduce the unpleasant taste(bitter). Marinate the garlic for 20 to 30 minutes. 3. Rinse the garlic in the water 2 or 3 times to ensure it's clean. 4. Put the garlic in the glass jars. 5. In a large pot, pour the white vinegar, add the sugar and salt, and water. Stir until the sugar is melted. 6. Bring it to a boil, for 8 to 10 minutes. Pour the boiling water into the jars. Keep in temperature room. 7. The garlic turn to green after one day. The longer, the greener. DONE!

doesnt make sense people put just vinager and garlic takes up to a month to get green. i did mine the way this video explains and no green yet and its been the second day already. did i do something wrong?

tried this method but i didn't like the outcome, turn out a little bit green but the taste is still too strong, i tried a different method and I'm surprised that i turns put the way i like it and really turn totally green.
Vinegar in itself is already a preservative. Since the pickling juice was boiled, this makes it last longer as a preservative. After it has turned green in a day or 2 you can store the pickled garlic in the refrigerator to make longer shelf life..

There are two conditions to pickle Laba garlic doesn't turn green. One is to use low-temperature stored garlic. It honestly changes with every batch the PH levels just have to be slightly off and it won't go emerald. Mine accidently turn emerald all the time lol
To make the garlic turn green, there need to be a change in temperature. Garlic contains allicin and sulfides. Low temperature activates allicin while higher temperature activates sulfides. When both are activated, they react to turn garlic green.
First, put the pickle jar in a warm oven or under the hot sun for a few hours. Next, put in the refrigerator to cool it overnight. Repeat the process if necessary. The garlic will turn green.

1kg is a lot of garlic for one person to consume if none of the other members of the family like to eat it. I don't think it will last for a long time without preservatives. Better use about 250gr and remake when it's over.

Here's the trick to make it green. Garlic contains allicin and sulfide. Allicin is activated by low temperature while sulfide need higher temperature. Once both are activated, the garlic will turn green. Put the jar in a warm oven or under the sun for 3 or 4 hours. Later at night, put the jar in the refrigerator overnight. This change in temperature will activate both allicin and sulfide and the garlic will turn green quickly. Hope this helps. Repeat if necessary

Does it have an amount to put in like for balance,adding salt and sugar and vinegar!!like if the garlic amount is small ,the sugar,salt and vinegar amount should be this and that!!...if there is please do reply me!!..like for 250g of garlic, how much grams or tea spoon full of salt and sugar should be added and if it needs only 24hrs or not,please do reply me with detail!!i'll be very pleased.....btw That seem like its aint 100kg of garlic more like 1 kg or less..!!just saying...

Hey I tried but my garlics did not change color even after 7 days.. Please let me know what can I do?
Thank you for watching and your try my recipe and you can follow my method step by step:
1. Peel the skin of the garlic, then cut the bottom ends and damage off the garlic cloves if there are any.
2. Sprinkle the salt and strongly massage the garlic to reduce the unpleasant taste(bitter). Marinate the garlic for 20 to 30 minutes.
3. Rinse the garlic in the water 2 or 3 times to ensure it's clean.
4. Put the garlic in the glass jars.
5. In a large pot, pour the white vinegar, add the sugar and salt, and water. Stir until the sugar is melted.
6. Bring it to a boil, for 8 to 10 minutes. Pour the boiling water into the jars. Keep in temperature room.
7. The garlic turn to green after one day. The longer, the greener. DONE!

Once both are activated, the garlic will turn green. Put the jar in a warm oven or under the sun for 3 or 4 hours. Later at night, put the jar in the refrigerator overnight. This change in temperature will activate both allicin and sulfide and the garlic will turn green quickly. Hope this helps.
