You can prevent ALL of that by simply doing a full wipe down of the engine bay every time you wash your car. Pretty much using the method you stated at the end.. I have a 2019 440 F32 and a 2016 228 and both engine bays look damn near new. Anyways good job..
Oh, i just washed mine too 3 days ago. Although i did go to a car wash, but man the car looks new again. And yes, the pressure washer is what i don't have so the car wash shop was my way to go. Great vid as always
Yes, thanks for sharing that point. If you don't plan on buying a pressure washer for other purposes using the ones at the self serve car wash is the way to go. 🙌
Hi mate. What about covering the alternator? When doing an oil change on my f30 I think a few drops from taking out oil filter dripped into the alt and since the oil change I can hear a whining sound in time with the revs & deceleration my local mechanic says the alt is overworking. I’ve read the alternator will never overwork but do the exact opposite of this.
I had this happen during an oil change and the clutch of my alternator was shot. I bought a refurbished one from Autozone and its clutch also went after a year for unrelated reasons. Upon closer inspection, the clutch was rebuilt on the refurb from Autozone. I then replaced it with an OEM alternator and it's been fine since.
Great job 👍🏼
Thanks!
Well done my friend! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Hope you are doing well

The rubber stripe/flap suppose to be on top of the 2 covers (battery terminal and fuse box) right?

I just leave my hood open every time it rains
That's one way to do it
Chemical guys rule I use them in Australia
you didnt illustrate properly which components to cover up
My god dude...Have a professional do this! BMW's are NEVER to get engine bay washes like this.
Please explain. Many BMW engine bays have been cleaned like this without issue.
@@FritzRamoswell right where you were spraying by the alternator the ECU was right there 😭😭
Better say where are 6 locations to wrap them
Exspecially, why? 🤣
