Simply fabulous! You make that song breathtaking……….. could not find on iTunes. Your style and execution is mesmerizing……. ❤❤❤❤. Thank you. Your AFTER HOURS is my all time favorite.
The first song Arthur plays, as he says, is "After Hours" by Avery Parrish (Erskine Hawkins Orchestra). It's a monster of solo blues piano with multiple basslines and a killer turnaround. Check out the many versions by Lloyd Glenn (live!), Lafayette Leake, Fats, Ramsey Lewis, et al. If we encourage Arthur he may do a tutorial for us mere mortals
Another great video Arthur!.. I’m playing around with a slow blues at the moment so thanks for the inspiring tips and ideas, always something to learn. 🎶💯
Thanks so much for these dude. I watch all of these every week. Love your style of playing. Especially excited about this one! Slow blues has been such a long challenging pursuit of mine.
Thanks so much for the terrific office hours and other resources! I just started working on After Hours so your timing is great 😊. Definitely gave me some ideas.
Hey James, thank you! Turns out a lot of people have been asking. I will plan on making a tutorial with sheet music sometime in June or July this year. There must be sheet music somewhere for this but I don’t know of any off hand. Sorry!
