🎵Been at the beach all day, swimming, snorkelling while enjoying a rare sunny day here in merry 'ol England! Then came home to discover this wonderful tutorial of a tune I've been longing to learn for ages. Life couldn't get any better! 😀 Thanks so much Arthur, can’t wait to go try this super tutorial! 👏👏👏👏🎵

I've been returning to this tutorial regularly for weeks and am now eventually putting it all together and it feels so good, so many thanks from me in the UK.
Were you fortunate enough to ever meet any of the masters like Longhair, Domino or HP Smith?
I've read that amazingly CJ Dupree lived in Halifax UK and Diz Watson also lived there too and learned from him.... Diz and the Doormen, what a great band they were! They played Longhair music all night around Camden Town in the 80s, and even had Lee Allen on sax for a bit.....I think Diz still gigs a little bit. Cheers.

@@thearthurmigliazza I sure wish I was but I can’t access member only videos anymore. I still have the after hours course I bought saved in Dropbox. So that’s good and I have your book. So I guess besides that I will only be able to view your free content? I don’t know exactly what happened. Wherever we sent the $5- (I don’t remember) it’s never been automatically deducted as it should have been. I wrote you about that long ago and you said you didn’t control that and oh well. So I really am at a loss on how to activate my membership. I would surely pay you $5 a month for the rest of my life.
      Thank for everything

All joking aside I am rusty too. And I started talking more because the text-only style, which I love, takes way too long to make. Especially with the kids and my day job.. it would never get done.

Great stuff thanks Arthur. I've been trying to play it from the 2nd Dr John New Orleans DVD but its a bit grainy so this is very helpful. :)

Thanks! Hope this is helpful. Keep in mind it's the way I play it, not necessarily Dr. John... but should be some helpful overlap 🙂

@@thearthurmigliazza yah I'm just getting the basics at the moment before changing the style. You think you might do a bit of a New Orleans style lesson sometime perhaps? may be some common things you hear but don't really see in tutorials?

You broke the whole song down for us..i always wondered what exactly you were doing with the internal eighth notes and after slowing it down a little and zooming in i learned it and can play it just like you've taught!!..its not that hard but takes some study and manipulation of speed vs zoom on video..i feel like you gave me and others a personal gift with this one..thanks soooo much Arthur..you have a super nice way of doing these tutorials..im stoked about the prospect of practicing this over and over until i can sound like you..its a real crowd pleaser!!😊
