Many older men come from a generation when coming out and being open would mean persecution and alienation. They may find solace in seeing how things are changing and hearing young people's stories about living life in a way they could only ever dream of. We shouldn't just assume they're all a bunch of old perverts.

I'm writing a book series called 'Dogwood' that takes place in the 80's and it deals with how different and dangerous it could be to come out. Great vid. I'm in Vancouver.

I think that I was in a coma from 2011 up until about a month or two ago. I'm a lot (and I mean, A LOT) older than you. And that's a really good thing for me now. And so was watching your story. Hope all's good with you. Love ya', Jay

bravo for coming out. Brave, smart, and cute. Welcome to the world where there are LOTS just like you. I My self have housed many teens who received the worse side of coming out. That being the parents tossed them out on to the street. I clothed, fed, housed, educated them all for free and no strings attached. Now that I am getting too old to do that I hope there are others out there who will do that. Best wishes to you.

You didn't choose who you're attracted to, and you can't change who you're attracted to, so the rational choice is to accept who you are. Good for you that you haven't wasted years trying to be something you're not. I hope you have a wonderful life.

Damn dude, you are beautiful looking! Just had to get that off my chest first. Man, I personally knew I was attracted to other boys when I was only six. I suppose I was lucky, at least in that respect. I am glad that at last you came to your truth once and for all. Also, putting ourselves in "their" shows might not be a such bad idea. However, in turn we should always remember to require them to do the same for "us". They might think differently as well. Thanks for a really COOL coming out story.

I just saw your video. Very nice. it would be very interesting to see what you’re like today. I hope you’re doing well. You mentioned a little consideration for the homophobe and I hope you feel different about that. Never tolerate discrimination. We have as much right to be here and live our lives as anyone else. However, it’s not always easy. I knew always but fully came out to others in university in 1972. Everyone was fine. It was different then in how you met people. However, I related to everything you said.

Agreed 100%! Although I told my parents in 1968. it just got worse. At 30, I finally told my siblings and freinds, and most of them disappeared.
Started going to bars at 18, which made life easier, but a week didn't go by without
hearing about another kid getting killed or maimed with a baseball bat. by bashers, or was thrown out of their parents house for coming out, until my dad kicked me out. After I went to a shink for 3 years my mom finally let me go back to college. Terror?. I lived it.

Peace be upon you, as a human who has a conscience, you must to listen to me, I just want to say that:-
If you got anyone in your life that ever said to you ''how did it come to this'' in the unkind ways, you know what I mean. This is what you tell them, you look at straight into their eyes and you saying:
    1. Humanity is about as long as we bring ourselves to loves someone else, no matter what colour, no matter what race, no matter what religion, and no matter what gender. Humanity just want us to be loved, and to be able to love somebody back.
    2. I believe that God will please, and embraces with ours' kind and loving spirits.
    3. And in God's eyes kindness and love are what it’s all about.

No matter what they say about themselves.. just support them, encourage them to be open and caring and loving to others, this I tell you the truth, it takes effort and courage to love unconditionally.

How is being gay meant to sound? There's such thing as a camp voice, sure, but not a gay voice, The meaning of gay is that you're attracted to the same-sex and a voice doesn't have a sexual orientation so that doesn't really work.
Also, telling someone to explore if they're gay is like telling someone to explore if they're straight; don't think in double-standards.
Sorry for the rant but it just really annoys me when people say stuff like that.

  • @dbart4711

. Humans have to learn to be compassionate. Most human are just mean, opinionated and have egos to big to admit their frailty.. Why is there wars, and rumor of wars all through history of man? egos..control.. power.. money. Strength is not in the fist, strength is in your heart!

Religion the peoples opium.... I can not understand why people even bother to make religious statement concerning other peoples lifestyle. Please start to clear your own of your own guilt. All evil in the world comes from norm judgments... please start to forgive your self first rather than doomed others. The day you achieve universal compassion is the day true happiness will come. All good in the world lays in the hand of every human and no where else. Thanks for sharing this video.

Its my belief that love is thee most important thing in this world. Love is the goal for every religion on earth. So to me anything that gets a human being to love is good in my eyes. There is far too much hate in this world. In regards to there not being anymore babies, i say dont worry. Life is resilient. Nature will find a way to bring balance. If your religious then you should know it only takes one straight man and woman to populate the world, so what are you worring about. peace and love.
