Minty's comments about the copying and stuff was actually a jokish one. Every Filipino student, especially from the public schools, there's always a dance competition literally every month. Students practices in schools especially in their respective rooms. So whenever someone from a different section(or group) passes by their room. Comments like "Stop guys, someone may copy our performance" will be hearsays so that if the passer bys actually evedrops, they will get intimidated. That's how tough the competitiveness of every filipino students HAHAHAHAHA
I’m glad that the aggressive comments from some of the Ph fans didn’t stop you from watching the ep 3 of Drag Race Ph. I totally agree with you that as an art form, drag is meant to be viewed by everyone, and as a fresh franchise, we do need to pull in the viewcount numbers not only from our country but from all over the world as well to secure a second season. Just ignore the ignorant haters and hope you have fun watching the future episodes of our country’s Drag Race.

For me, turing deserves that win. The way she uses the term ‘BADING’ with such POWER! like, it’s my first time hearing it in a show where it is not used as a joke. Ugh, the power turing holds 💅

For reference, "bading" is kind of a slur for gay / effeminate men in the PH. It's starting to be reclaimed as an identifier for the gay community, much in the same way "queer" is for the West. But as mentioned in the comment, it's still usually used as more of a punchline and the way Turing uses it is just a whole new level of empowerment 💖🏳️🌈
Your comments of the earlier episodes didn't bother me in the least. You undoubtedly provided our queens with helpful constructive criticism. This was probably the longest episode on Drag Race history, but It didn't feel like it. The editing and the queen's charisma made the episode worth it for me. The mini challenge gave us the main conflict of the episode, and the maxi challenge had the perfect resolution. The runway's looks were inspiring and the emotional moments felt so genuine that by the end of the episode I was in tears, just like the queens themselves.
Best episode so far, IMHO. It's a classic Drag Race episode in the making.
P.S.: There's something about these queens lipsync performances that is so captivating. They can emote the energy of the song without doing any stunts and that should be a lesson to the other franchises.

This episode is EVERYTHING!!!! The Girl Group Performance, the Runway and the DRAMA. I think brigiding and turing's performance in the Girl Group Challenge are so great but i think they need to edit their Runway for a bit. Overall, I would say that this Girl Group Performance is one of the best in all Drag Race Franchise.

At first I was surprised you chose that first comment since it was so negative and I completely disagree with it. Glad you shut him down. The idea that any drag race is *just* for the people from that country is ridiculous. Drag Race is an opportunity for fans around the world to learn about drag and queer culture that might be different from their own. Drag Race US introduced my to ball room culture and I watched Paris is Burning because of it and then Legendary (which is how I came across your channel). Similarly, as a Filipino-British-Spanish person who has lived in all 3 countries, fellow fans who don't know those other cultures as well love the little bits of trivia I can throw in having experienced those cultures personally.
We queer people have too many people trying to cut us out of society to be putting up borders of our own. Let's all enjoy this as a celebration of queer culture that allows us to see what we have in common while also celebrating our differences.

the language barrier makes it so hard for people to enjoy the show to the fullest and if we want another season we are gonna have to do the MOST to get it! there's really nothing wrong with people trying to give more context to parts of the show--if anything, its such a commendable act. i really don't understand the mentality that commentor has.

When you were reading that first comment I was thinking "I hope she just tells him to f-ck off", and you did not disappoint. I didn't love the first two episodes of this season, but "Pop Off Ate!" absolutely sold me. I've been watching it on repeat. As for the winner, there was no choice but Turing for me. She was front and center on that stage and I couldn't take my eyes off her. I couldn't even tell you what anyone else was doing while she was performing. As for the runway, I'm getting the impression that their runways are just naturally more theatrical than we are used to, especially considering how far "out there" some of the looks were this episode. Theatrical or no, that "bib and diaper" look was just the worst.

Also her line is empowering and inspiring especially when she said about her being gay and being fat she can still slay, I loved her line. For the runway I didn’t love both of their looks so they prolly just based it on the challenge. Vinas however had the strongest look and strongest performance from the other team but she was on the losing team so she didn’t get the win.

Btw it's Philippine Folklore tho it was Shake Rattle and Roll concept. Not necessarily generic horror concepts. It just so happens a lot of folklore's are horror based. Turing really did a GREAT job. Lady Morgana is portraying a Sarimanok. A legendary bird from Mindanao

BTW just to defend Turing's win, as a filipino the choice of words were more powerful than anyone else. In all honesty, translation took a lot of magic in the performance. Although I still commend the production of trying their hardest and best to translate it to the world. I agree about the look, that Marina has better ensemble and was good in the performance but I think the power and retainment that Turing's rap and dance in the challenge are enough to secure the win no matter what her runway is, and to behonest it was a decent runway
If we're only basing it on the main challenge of the winning team Turing won it 100% I felt like Marina only showed up when it's her line but Turing shined all throughout their performance, but with the runway I do see a situation where Marina could win but I'd still place Vinas on top of her. If Vinas was not on the loosing team she would have won.

I've been subscribed to you even before drag race ph, and I love your video. I'm from the Philippines and lived here most of my life. I'm sorry if you received most of the rude comment from my fellow countrymen who got the audacity to say that to you. I love how it didn't stop you from reacting to Drag Race Ph. To that person there are people who wanted to understand our culture and references, actually be proud of that as people from other country are eager to learn and to know more about us. To the first comment you've mention audacity of you saying that we should stop teaching her our culture but that you probably learn culture from different country some part of your life and bitch no one is stoping you so don't stop her. Everyone have a right to learn what they wanted to learn, and everyone have rights to educate others, and she doesn't stop us from teaching her instead she is embracing the knowledge she is getting from us. Lots of love from the Philippines. From the few hatefule and despiteful comments out there, there is a lot more of people who loves and support you.
I think the judge/s pick the right winner because Turing did so well in the girl group challenge and the theme was Philippines mythical creatures( correct me if I’m wrong) if you search to it, definitely it will give you nightmare/s not sweet dreams. Marina’s runway was soo good that it belongs to another theme
