Thanks for watching! The first 5 minutes of this video is a quick rundown of our roller coaster with school so far. We've bounced between homeschool, private school, and public school. If you want to skip right to my reasons for homeschooling, go to 5:25

This was perfectly said! I agree with it all. These are the greatest reasons we decided to homeschool as well. We just want to protect our little girl in every way, physically, but also spiritually. We want to train her up in the way of the Lord and for no one to come and try to deceiver her. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🙏☺️

Exactly! And there's nothing wrong with wanting to protect her from all the junk in the world. Thank you so much for watching 😊

We school year round over here. We have been homeschooling Elizabeth for almost 5 years!! I also dont trust the public school. Elijah (3rd grade) is in 3rd grade, but science and social study, he is doing 4th grade. I love how we can advance as necessary. I also struggle with whats being pushed on children. The agenda is clear. I remember, up til 7th grade, i panicked all day sending Elizabeth to school, because of what goes on.
Can i also say, making these decisions on "fear" is actually you, knowing first hand what happened, and preventing it. Someone would judge you for wearing a helment on a bike, because you had firet hand experience getting hurt not wearing one.
You are sheltering your kids long enough to build a solid base for faith and their interests.
Send your kids to Ceasar wnd dont be shocked when they come home romans!!!
    Sejd

      Yes exactly!
I hadn't thought about fear being based on experiences. You're right. I've had first hand experience on what transgenderism does to people. I had a best friend in high-school who was trans and had another trans friend who killed himself 😔 it is not a lifestyle choice or a personal identity. It's a mental illness being pushed on kids as if it IS a lifestyle choice.

Also, i love the forever friends aspect. I didnt grow up with 2 of my sisters, and i dont know who they are, honestly. It breaks my heart. The divisiveness between siblings is crazy.

I'm the only one of my siblings that's a believer. I'm on good terms with my sister and I consider us friends, but my brother and I are pretty much strangers 😔 Huge age gap and very different beliefs. We were also not raised to be friends. We were raised to love each other and be nice to each other, but not to value each other as lifelong friends. I don't know if my efforts will bear fruit but I'm hopeful. I don't want them living as adults who check in with each other like once a year.

@RelatableMotherhood that's what I'm hoping for my kids and my sisters. To choose to make each other a priority, and chose to overlook things that might tear society apart (like views on things like homeschool, natural remedies, etc).

I'm muslim and a new homeschool mom. I totally agree with everything you said. So much evil and immorality these days. I don't want my kids indoctrinated. I want to raise kids who fear God and put God and being a believer first and it is so difficult to do that if they go to public school.

I love how you mention that God can change your mind. It is wise of you to not send your kids to public schools.

God is in control. I know we can trust Him to watch over our kids whether they're with us or away at school. But yes, I agree that public school is no longer a good choice.

"The evils of the world, like school gun shootings". Followed shortly after "I am pro-guns". Fantastic logic right there.

When you can separate yourself from the indoctrination that it's the guns and not the mentally unhealthy person that does the crime, it makes sense. I fell for the message portrayed in Hollywood that a gun was scary. What's scary is that we are an increasingly mentally unstable society and jetpacking downward at warp 8. If I wanted to disarm a populace, I would do it exactly as our nation has done. If I wanted a free society, I would have gun laws similar to Switzerland. They just don't make a huge deal about guns that Americans do. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearms_regulation_in_Switzerland
