That is a great idea about using that drawer for your truck. For my CB antenna, I used a marine radio mount so that it would fold down, works awesome. I also opted for a mounted radio because of the extra power and range you can get from them. I also decided to put CBs in both of my vehicles for more compatibility on the trails. Your GC is looking really good.
Bro!!! Your WK2 is sick!!!! The stance on it is spot on. It is cool that you take it out and wheeling and exploring. I have an 04 Overland same color that is one of our wheeling rigs . Subbed!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Gotta love Chief Products. They’re definitely the reason my wk2 gets home every time, they’ve taken some hits and have held up great. Genius idea for the drawer set up, if I didn’t have to keep stuff concealed under the retractable cover I’d be stealing that idea. 👍🏼
Bro I have been waiting for this since you said it was around the corner. I’m going to 33’s in on my trailhawk and can’t wait man. Also have the front guard coming as well. You have built one of the best looking ones around. I’m gonna post mine here soon, a before and after.
Heck yea man. That’s what’s up. Cant wait to see. I appreciate that too. I’m almost obsessed. I’m constantly analyzing how it looks or how it will look if I add something haha it’s a problem lol
Nice build man! I like the Chief Products as well! 6Monkeys has some innovative products as well for the Wk2. I am still waiting for either Chief or 6Monkeys to make a backseat delete kit...
No my engine is completely stock. I haven’t focused too much on the engine. It does what I need it to. I don’t know how a cold air intake would do in my rainy state.
In regards to your drawer system and cooler mounting how do you access your spare tire and all of the cubbies that are underneath the trunk floor? I have allot of gear stored under there in my WK2. The one thing that I’ve noticed with all of the WK2’s is that trunk floor cover has a tendency to bounce on rough trails. You can secure it down using the factory tiedown points and ratchet straps but I’m curious what your solution is.
Hey how’s it going? I actually don’t keep anything in the spare tire compartment. For big trips I will put the tire up top if I need to or in the 2nd row until I get a tire swing. My tire doesn’t fit in the compartment anyway. For now I have fastened the floor down with small throw bolts. Not the strongest but they have kept it all down even during my rock crawling adventure. I got pretty sideways on that. I have heard of people reinforcing the floor with wood and mounting gas struts and hinges to the floor so that they can access their gear that way.
I see that you wrapped your window chrome trim to delete the chrome, did you do that yourself? I want to do that to my white/black WK2, only chrome that the car has left, but I find the prospect of wrapping the window trim myself quite daunting 😕
Yes I did it but I took the vinyl wrap and threw it in the trash. I gave up on it. I’ll leave the wrapping to the pros. I went to Home Depot, grabbed some black plasti dip and sprayed the trim. It’s lasted 2 years and is just now ready for a fresh coat.
Hi sir love your channel I have a quick question. You have 1.5 spacers on do they cover the jeep studs or do they stick out past the spacers please reply haveing trouble thanks love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Hey! Thank you. So I’m running the Titan accessories 1.5” spacer. It accommodates the original studs. They have gaps milled out on the spacer so it fits flush. No need to cut the studs
They were actually an amazing purchase. They are just blacked out on the inside. But you need to seal them yourself. I believe the link is in the description to my videos
Thanks man!!! Appreciate that. You can achieve this offset with a wheel of a similar offset. I do have titan accessories 1.5” hubcentric spacer though that puts me at a +17 offset.
I love the Yokohamas. Man they do great. I can hear them but they are probably the quietest MT you can find. My wife is sensitive to the sounds and it doesn’t bother her one bit
Hey brother where did u get your honey comb inserts from I tried Amazon but since I have a 2016 jeep grand cheeroke limited they said it won’t just curious would u know if I purchase them they would fit my 16
Hey! Yes right now I am because I’m still riding on the stock wheels. The stock wheels are a +55 offset so I still need those spacers right now. I’ve started looking at the Method bead grippers. I might go that route next but I’m not sure what offset those have.
@@kaniick thank you. So I’m sitting at a +17 offset with the spacers. I don’t want to poke out anymore than that so whatever wheels I find I want to sit at the same offset or close to it.
I’m going to a 3” soon but 3” will max these axles out. People have done it but it’s not wise with real off-roading. What I plan to do is swap everything and do a long travel ind. suspension. With a larger lift.
Gotta love the "Overland Police" that tell you why your rig is a fail. Man... F them! You go with whatever tires you want!!!
Haha thanks 🙏. Nobody says anything to all the tacomas that run these tires right?

Thank you!. Having a budget has really sparked my creativity! Hahaha. I appreciate the love. Great idea for the mounts
On top of having a CB, a HAM radio is great to have as well. I also bring a satellite phone when we go deep and remote.
Love your Jeep, the color, the wheels, everything about it, gorgeous! Im about to start working on my '06 WK 5.7.
Thank you 🙏 means a lot. Heck ya. Cant wait to see. Follow me on IG at grand exploration so I can check it out!
I actually cut the corner of the bumper and looks good and no rubbing
I've been on the lookout for cheap drawer ideas for my WJ and I never considered an old filing cabinet. Great idea!
My wife thought of it. She’s the smart one. Haha

You def have to go through the pin stripes to get to the views in that area, but well worth it!!!

I love your build man. Great job!

awesome
Did you do any performance mods to the engine? Cold air ?

Hey man, one more question. Did going to a 3 inch lift resolve your tire rubbing issue with the 265 70 18 yokahamas?
@@chadcousins5971 I actually have 275/70 18 since I put the 3” lift on. And yes it stopped rubbing even with 33’s

It is a Jeep grand Cherokee Limited. This is an “Overland Build” “Built for Overlanding”
3.6 or 5.7?

Yokohama Geolander MT
