A little tip for working with silicone: put a dab of liquid dish soap on your finger then run it along the silicone and you can smooth it out without it sticking to your finger. 👍🙂
Just picked me up a 2021 5.7 Trailhawk ! Super stoked bought 2nd hand with only 28k on her this will be my 3rd Grand Cherokee my first was a 95 with the 5.2 lifted it with 3’’ suspension on 33’s 2nd one was 2012 srt 8 threw a Maggy 2.9 on with all the bells and whistles had that for a solid 5yrs bar none the most fun and brutally unfair performance vehicle I’ve ever had! And this before Trackhawk came out so it was just nasty. Fast forward 2018 built me a Rubicon Recon edition Jk long arm king coilovers the whole nine had fun with that. Now it’s all about slowin my roll a bit grabbed this Trailhawk and exited to upgrade this girl and make her a tough good lookin daily that’ll do it all ! Love the Grand Cherokee platforms up to 2021. Don’t know about this next gen but they don’t look to promising.
Oh yea you’ve had them all. Yea I’m not too sure about the WL. The manufacturer really likes that air suspension haha. Stay tuned though I got a little surprise for the build.
Did you watch the video? 😂 You have the option to turn the animation off if you’d like The blue only comes on with the animation. They have been holding up great so far. Seems to be a common theme with people not being able to get the high beams to work correctly. Still trying to get to the bottom of it. I heard someone found a fix for it
I've been looking at these for awhile but was worried about how'd they look and if they would actually fit and look. Glad you did it for us all to see them. Definitely looking forward to an update on these down the road. Really wish they had an option for green drl though.
I have these on you my 2014 limited. They made a huge difference in looks and function. I do want to stop the startup animation because they may fail inspection in my state so thank you for giving that lil tidbit on turning those off.
My 14 WK2 came with the original upgraded HID headlights , and I love them especially the LED running daylight , the only I worried was when the LED strip daylight would die or stop working , since it’s a a none replaceable part and u would have to buy an entire headlight, the only option was OEM or the missimmoto and those run over a $1,000 bucks , I checked your link and I was shocked , surprised at the price of $390 for the set , now I know if I ever need to replace mines to get these at a very low price
Great non-tutorial! 😂 I believe this might depend on whether your WK2 had them to begin with, but the spacer actually has a washer module built in - which explains the cut out in the middle of it - that sprays the housing to clean it. I've never seen it in action so I have no idea how it actually works, but that's my understanding. It's the precursor to the remodeled ones which remove the spacer in favor of the grille that matches the contour of the lights, but where you'll notice the little square cutout under the light. Also, I'm likely to get the Morimotos largely because i really want the LEDs for night driving. I was disappointed how dim the HIDs were when I got my 2014 (even after replacing the bulbs). Yours looks dope though, a great alternative!
@@iamkevinmccarthy thanks. I’ve had the morimotos in my cart for almost a year but I just couldn’t justify it. But now I see they came out with another set that’s more like these and less expensive
