On my my drdobinson lifted 2016 JGC Summit EcoDiesel, I upgraded my rear cv axles to Trakmotive as they have more range both in angle and extension. I put them side by side with the factory and they definitely have more range. I also upgraded the endlinks on all 4 corners to the Mevotech as they are heavy duty, and use greasable ball joints instead of just bushings. This allows the natural movement of the sway bar twisting etc. The bushing only type will stiffen the suspension up which is not what you want for off roading.
The jeep rides nicely on road, off road and even towing with our travel trailer. I am planning to experiment by putting the rear air bags back in and install a manual air kit to control them... mainly to level the jeep when towing. I had to remove the quadra-lift system as the valve control manifold started leaking.

What do those axles run ya? I was going to look into RCV performance axles.

    • @MrFturner

They run about $200CDN for each rear.

Yep, from the very first pop, that was a mechanical/gearing pop sound, the muffler hitting would be more of a light ping sound (same as tapping it with a wrench).
Easy check would he drain the fluid to see if there are any metal shavings. I need to get some magnetic drain plugs for mine. I've heard similar sounds but i think it was just something slipping. (Drew a temporary CEL once too) I drained both diffs and tcase, no metal.
Seems to be the day to upload vids of slight fails, as my vid today makes the WK2 look kinda whimpy. 😢 (I blame my terrible spotters)
    Goodluck mate!

Dang ol’ son! 1:05 in sounds like your transfer case took a poop. Mine did the same thing but on the road. Just completely failed and locked into 4Low. At least while it was under load it would remain in 4High. Only slow speeds like cornering and maneuvering into/out of parking spots. Also you’ll want to probably get a new transmission control module. So because my transfer case grenaded it affected the transmission so I had to replace transmission transfer case and tcm. Just a heads up. Excited to see the rest of the video. Hopefully that was only the cv splines slipping in the diff.

2:43 is why it sounds like the cv slipped out the diff from the first clip! You too the sway bar off! Hopefully you don’t flex out!!

Off topic I ordered a OSC radiator it’s thinner than the one I have because of the towing package. I’m not towing anything so I’m just thinking of installing but need to make sure with the WK2 expert , think it will be good to run it like that ?
