Great tutorial video on this install, which is why I'm here, just to see the access process... Just a heads up on future installs... For the GPS antenna, I saw a video on another install of a head unit where they had stuffed the GPS antenna up above the radio mounting area between the a/c ducting and the insulation of the dash. I tried it my self on an after market and it worked fine. I was able to track up to 13 satellites. Doing this keeps the installation really clean... Another piece of advice...DON'T slice into a wire bundle like this gentleman did. That's the easiest way to damage wiring by inadvertently cutting or nicking wires, creating shorts or opens or if you're lucky enough to just cut the wire insulation down to bare wire, then corrosion and future problems. Just take the time to unwrap it if you can or if you use a blade, be extremely careful. Bonus, it reduces the risk of you cutting open your hand / fingers too.... As a 30+ year avionics technician on Airbus A320 aircraft that runs wiring for mods on the aircraft, the wiring skills of this gentleman are chringy AF.... He's giving me anxiety... lol.
Mine appears to have a screen protector on it which gives the screen a scratchy feel and makes the screen a little dull. Can anyone verify if theirs has a screen protector and did you remove it? Thanks.

One of the best videos I’ve seen about the PX6 install in the Grand Cherokee. You didn’t have to tap into a reverse trigger to get the backup camera to work with this unit? Just tap into the 2 camera wires with the RCA?
@@bxallstar718 Hi, Yes I managed to find a work-around that works. It seems that CUR volume should be set to 38 within the settings of the head unit and then you MUST open the radio app first that activates the sound, from there on I can navigate to any app and I have sound. It is as if the radio app sends the signal to the factory amp to turn on.... Hope that helps

It has the same uconnect factory head unit and I just got the same tablet size head unit as in the video, however after plugging in everything the exact way you did I don’t hear any audio from any speakers and the back up camera doesn’t come up even after tapping into it like u showed. Any suggestions?
Sorry to be that person to ask But I have a 2019 Jeep Trackhawk & I haven’t seen nobody even try to attempt that.I have a 8 inch screen but I swere 2 inches of it is outside panel so really only have a 6 inch radio to be technical.Mainly trying ask what brand should I look from & not saying it has to be a 13 inch screen but I would love to have atleast like 11 inch screen but so many brands and so many brand only work for certain years for car

I just ordered the unit and I received a message saying it doesn't work with my factory backup camera, and I would need to buy an OEM backup camera and install it. I would rather it just work with the one I have. I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Also, have you had any issues with the radio??

There is a white/lt. Green at the driver kick,harness to the rear it's the reverse wire tap that wire to the screen. I can't recalled the color on the screen but maybe purple/white or green/white

Make sure the blue/white wire from the screen has power
Plug your old unit im and turn the audio up and unplug nd plug ur new system back.
