    I have been watching for maybe 4 months or so and the more videos I watch of yours the more I feel like you couldn't have picked a better channel name. I really enjoy these in-depth videos that you do. They provide plenty of details to help me pick the item that best suits my needs. Thank you for all the effort and thought that you put in each video.

    Love these tests. If you play around with the scores and apply what's important as an individual, then you get very different results. Take the points for bottle tops and price out of the equation for example. Brilliant video!

    Being here in the States 3D products are easy to get and priced right. I use 3D One on almost every car in some sort of way-I love it that much. 3D Speed I will use where a customer isn’t wanting to pay for better protection. Polishes well, cuts enough and slickery when wiped off. People love that finish, wish it would last longer but the heat in Texas just bakes it off in no time. That Bilt bottle in inexcusable- would drive me crazy! Thanks for taking time out of your work day to put in all the effort to do these. Learn something new every time. Cheers! Kyle

    If you like the look of 3D Speed, but don’t need a polish 3D Poxy has the Montan wax w/o abrasives. It only last a couple of months on a daily driver but it looks great and is easy to use. The great thing about these products is that you can see where you have been by wiping off after you finish the whole vehicle.

    The main problem with any product using diminishing abrasives to cut and polish in 1 step is the time needed to work the product until it is broken down into a polish. I've tried a few that took so long to finish down on black paint it was quicker to use compound and polish.

  • @johnmelling9950

    I agree with you on the 3D Speed. First time i used it i went online and bought the bigger 1lt bottle. It has an almost never ending work time with no dusting, wont mark plastic trims and the finish is electric like you said and i find it really darkens the paint. You can turn an old crapper around and make it look like a different car in no time. Ive used a few other 3D products and they have all impressed me. Bead It Up is awesome and i use it to wipe down and add extra protection after using Speed, it smells amazing too. The 3D One compound is also amazing stuff, its made all my other compounds redundant as it cuts like crazy with a hard pad and finishes right down with a soft pad.

    This is interesting. Here in Canada, the Meguiar's might well have scored much higher, because it's a value priced consumer product here, and readily available at retailers. Something like Bilt Hamber has a price premium as an "imported product," with limited vendors specializing in professional detailing supplies. Interesting things to consider, all based on viewpoints dependant on locale. Great video, Jon thanks much.

    Nice test. Wondering how Tw hybrid ceramic polish & wax would compare. As for now it’s my go-to one step polish. It’s cheap, slick and glossy. Cut is not superb but it beats the most swirls. Protection is also amazing not sure of durability on its own.

      @@ForensicDetailing Well not sure on that. It does correct and not just mask the swirls. If i clean it immediately with gyeon prep the swirls and fine scratches don’t come back. It doesn’t have compound capabilities that’s for sure. If someone looks for deeper correction i’ll tackle it with menzerna 400, in most cases it’s going to be 2 step process as it doesn’t really finish perfectly.

    Used Menzerna 3 in 1, very decent level of cut and gloss and can easily achieve a one step on softer / medium paint. I was wondering why so many provided such a low level of protection: could it be that you'd need to leave the polish to haze a bit before wiping it off, as I recall from the instructions of Menzerna that's what they tell you to do? Could that have made any difference in the final results?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 года назад +1

      where applicable we left the products to cure on the panel before buff. and then panel was left over night. I think its more because abrasives need like oily carriers that dont dry out when you are working them, this seems to compramise durability i think.

    Concept products????? What i use. Try "Infinity". I buy in 5 litres. But i think 1 litre is around £11 +vat. amazing beading for anyone that has never polished a car before. Very low chalk. But they do a range with varing cuts and uses.

    How do you think Autoglym super resin would compare in this test a it’s still a great all round product

      It's not an aio it's a primer glaze really.

    Great video - wanted to pick ur brains - rusty looking brakes - is there a product I can use to remove this? I don’t really want to take the wheel off.
    Cheers

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 года назад

      if its the unpainted bare caliper rusting really you need to take the wheel off and wire brush the rust off rust treat and get it pro painted. otherwise the rust comes back. If its the brake disc just leave it. you can primer the brake hub but its a lot of messing around.

      @@ForensicDetailing I'm sure you have highlighted the turtle wax hybrid graphene range. My comment was wrong anyway as realised this is a test with all in one including some protection. The turtle wax platelet technology has no protection & requires follow by the flex graphene wax
