Used Uno Advanced this morning. Washed, clayed, iron, tar etc then one step with the Uno Advanced. Car done in under 5 hours start to finish. Nice and glossy and very slick. I’ll top it with something next wash. Good stuff.
One rule missing on the bottle: Don't let it freeze! Ticks all the boxes, this product. If it says it's safe for single-stage body paint, then I could use this with excellent results on my Nova. Just ordered some of this now. Looks very promising. One litre will last for years.
Been saying it since June, glad you got round to trying it out mate. It’s a really well produced product as are IMHO all RUPES products. As mentioned it does correct with wool (give it a whirl). In the comparison, the yellow pad Uno Protect has corrected the haze left from the DA Coarse, hence better reading. Prep to the same level using white pads will see Advanced performance increased even further. great vid as always mate. 👍🏻
Update: I’ve used it on about 17 cars now and although it is a very good non diminishing polish I found that customers don’t believe the “protection” part as it doesn’t bead.
The rupes products are amazing In general but the pads are so low lasting, no way you can abuse them at all, on the other hand using rupes compound with the lake country pads the results are top notch
First of all I'd like to thank you for your videos. Every time I look up a detailing product review or some tips, your channel is always there. So, congratulations! Any recommended toppers for this product?
Great video as always, UNO Advance isn’t in Australia yet but will definitely add it to my RUPES range. I also love that’s slickness especially after a fresh wax.
Hi there, thanks again for other nice video. I polished my car paint with menzerna 2500 and looking for a final step to increase gloss, so so you think UNO PURE is my better choice? Have you any video of that in action? Thank you in advance, I really appreciate your videos and how much I can learn from you
Chemical decon didn’t remove all the little bitsyou can still feel with fingertips, so it looks like I’ll need to clay. Paint is is rather good condition. Would you use Uno advanced for a one-step correction after a clay bar?
Sorry to ask a dumb question. If paintwork is in good condition but you just want to give it a quick whizz over like you have done here to give clarity to the paintwork and protection, would you still clay first? Or would a chemical decon suffice ?
if the paint is rough and has little spots of contamination. test behind the front wheels on the body work with clay if its clean there then you can get away without claying.
Great video. I like how you think through the tests. Im curious to know how many viewers use uno protect while using bead maker (or another sealant) with the wipeoff and if it makes any difference. Would it work like that for the advanced one too. Love the vid keep em coming
I take Uno Protect over Beadmaker any day of the week. Both different products and uses. For my shop I do a lot of level 1 enhancement details for Uno Protect is the best go to product to get a nice simple cut ( change to Rupes yellow wool for better cut) and super slick finish. I would suggest Gtechniq C2V3 over beadmaker so amazing slickness and durability. Beadmaker is slick but doesn't last more than few weeks at best. Cheers.
Hi! A detailer used this product on my car. Few weeks later, developed some scratches on my bonnet after using a waterless wash. Should I use this on just a section of the bonnet or polish back the whole bonnet? Additionally, this product is said to last 12mths. Will there be any impact if I were to use this polish before the 12mths is up?
Just wash it down. And machine on it with rupes advanced. Leave 15 mins and buff. Could just whizz it over entire bonnet so it's consistent. Remember it's finish polish so might need heavier compound to dig the scratches out first then finish with advanced.
Hey mate, thanks for all the videos. Can I use like meguiars super degreaser as a prep for polishing? Use it after a clay bar or iron remover and use it to take the polishing out after the wipe down.
@@ForensicDetailing awesome. Would you say BH hydra wax would be okay to use? With it not being a hard wax or stick to double speed? Rupes and BH would be a good little combo I reckon
Griots garage came out with their ceramic all in one which seems to be the same as uno advanced I’m planning as using it as my second step in my first upcoming paint correction
The Griots product is great. Uno protect you can leave on whole car then buff off. Griots wipe off after you finish each panel or it will be very grabby to wipe off.
I’ve applied griots to 4 vehicles so far. On one, it’s doing well 2 months in. The other two have been maintained with ONRWW. Excellent gloss, slickness, and ease of maintenance.
It’s “not recommended for body shops” because the clear isn’t cured fully after refinishing and baking process. It would be like applying a wax or sealer on fresh paint. A big No No Also because of sealing/ceramic characteristics of the product you can’t wash fully out of pad used and most likely will have to discard pad each time you use it.
Great advice as always Jon! I have a BMW i4 M Sport in Brooklyn Grey and sadly some cheeky blighter has put some scratches on the door. They are very light and l can only just feel them with my fingernail. I have some experience with detailing from eons ago and things have moved on drastically. What compound / pad combo would you recommend? I am planning to use a DAS8 from in2detailing. Think l have pinned it down to Koch Chemie or Rupes compounds with either rupes or scholl pads.
Hey! I have csl/exo on my car for a year now, lower panels are not performing well specially with our canadian winters, can i use this combination to correct a bit of swerls and re-apply exo after?
Would you think you could get a small amount of paint correction with uno advanced and a orange pad ,i have small scratches in black paint. I appreciate your videos
Is Uno Protect a good choice to hand polish small water spots and swirls? Yes, I know machine polishing is better. This is for a tiny area on delicate paint. Can it be followed up with C2v3?
Hey Jon, I recently bought and used a Rupes DA ultra fine White pad and after washing (cold water) it turned like purple-ish/ light red....Has this ever happened to you? thank you jon, nice video as always!
Hi Jon, I love watching your informative videos and I love your thorough reviews. I think I'll get some o the advanced and give it a go. AM detailing is just down the road from me. Quick question though I have a 19 year old disco 2 in black everyday truck and no show pony but I keep it clean as well as occasionally using it off road. The only thing I would really like to do is get rid of the water spots on the bonnet and try and prevent them in the future. What would be a good process for this please? I live in the NE of Scotland so soft water but shit weather occasionally 🤣cheers. Edit, been using auto Glym for over 38 years and tried others but I just like it 👍
What pad/compound combo did you use for correction on your CS paint Jon? I’ve got a San Marino CS and even with blue foam da pad and blue compound I can’t get the swirls out (using a das-6 pro da machine) wandering whether microfiber pads are needed for bmw paint to get the marks out? Any advice greatly received. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Ive only given it a light polish with rupes uno once and another time with koch M2. On the main panels try rupes yellow wool with koch H9 to correct it. and finish it out with Rupes white foam and rupes advanced. Be carefull on the bonnet the paint is thin. maybe just F6 and rupes yellow the bonnet.
It won't alway be 5he right weapon of choice the fact it's a finisher not a true single stage. Also can't top it with coating. But the rest is all good.
I know this isnt a carpro Essence or Gyeon Primer type, but lets say it gives excellent result and customer says now i want a ceramic coat over it. Can i use ipa wipe and then coat it? I've been asked by 2 customers now after i did their car with koch chemie P6.01 😂😂
It's not a single stage like Uno protect. So less cut. But the protection is wicked. So once you have the car nice use this to gloss and protect it. Top class product.
I have recently used the blue and yellow and tried several times but I just don’t like it think I will go back to the good old rupes UHS with the grey pads the yellow and blue compounds seam to dry out after a few passes and it’s very hard to remove the polish I’m considering throwing them in the bin. Have you used them yet if so how did it go ?
The yellow is OK but it has a very short working window. I don't use it very often. I prefer sonax perfect finish. It can dust a little too - not so bad as rupes - but the wipe off is easy.
Used Uno Advanced this morning. Washed, clayed, iron, tar etc then one step with the Uno Advanced. Car done in under 5 hours start to finish. Nice and glossy and very slick. I’ll top it with something next wash. Good stuff.

Thanks for the review mate, I plan to buy some of this for a bit off label. Tail light lenses and a plastic shower stall.
What?! I hadn't even heard of Uno Advanced, thanks Jon
I literally just restocked pure and protect. I now want advanced for my car as my so called five year costing has already failed (within a year)
Update: I’ve used it on about 17 cars now and although it is a very good non diminishing polish I found that customers don’t believe the “protection” part as it doesn’t bead.
The rupes products are amazing In general but the pads are so low lasting, no way you can abuse them at all, on the other hand using rupes compound with the lake country pads the results are top notch
The lake country pad washer helps me get multiple cars out of one pad

First of all I'd like to thank you for your videos. Every time I look up a detailing product review or some tips, your channel is always there. So, congratulations! Any recommended toppers for this product?
I just use BH qd at 1 to 10 or any ceramic spray
Well done comparison sir! Big help to us! Thanks so much sir!
I reckon the body shop bit is because fresh paint you shouldn't protect to let gas off and of course this would immediately
Great video as always, UNO Advance isn’t in Australia yet but will definitely add it to my RUPES range. I also love that’s slickness especially after a fresh wax.
Great video as always! Curious if you need to toss the pads out after use?
Hi John, I gave Griots Ceramic All in One a try and it to claims 1 year of protection. Check it out, you will be impressed with it.

I use the uno pure 1 and its still oily and smearing did three passes. Maybe cause my car is already ceramic coated. Idk
If my car is already ceramic coated about 1 year ago , can I use the uno advanced nano or will it remove my ceramic ?
Yes but alter technique to not strip
The tag company recommends using Brad maker to help buff off uno protect
tag company.... Brad maker....lol😅
Should've washed the apc off with soap afterwards to truly test the hydrophobics. Thanks for the video.

Yes
Great video; I wonder if use uno protect first to get more cutting. Then use advance as a finisher or toper?
Not ideal mate never 2 stage with 2 aio.
John I am just wondering, maybe a stupid question. After using the advanced polishing can you put a wax or ceramic coating down?
wax yes coating no mate.

Interestingly, Griots recommends using their Ceramic AIO with an 8mm or 9mm DA.
The Griots product is great. Uno protect you can leave on whole car then buff off. Griots wipe off after you finish each panel or it will be very grabby to wipe off.
