    Thanks for the feature, Pan! Just a heads-up - we also have an actual ceramic AIO Nano Surface Primer that we added to our line not long after launching NSPs. It's called NSP Z1 and it uses a blend of different abrasive sizes along with a modified version of the nanogel that actually applies a ceramic coating as opposed to merely laying down the matrix of anchor points.

      I've had a pleasant experience with Essence Plus on single stage cars. I used it on a solid black single-stage Porsche 964 and it worked great. It finishes out just like essence but with a bit more durability and protection than regular essence and much more than most waxes. Just don't forget to clean and change out your pads more frequently with single stage paint to get the most out of the products you're using (but I'm sure you know that)!

      @@sonofagun5305 same here. I once tried their best in show spray wax and it didn't do anything for me. It didn't provide much protection and it didn't wow me at all as regular car waxes from an auto parts store or Walmart would be better than the Griot's diarrhea in the bottle spray wax. I sure hope they changed their formula from the time I tried it in 2011

      There are no real magic tricks. It's just take your time to ensure proper coverage. And you can try different applicators. Instead of the traditional rectangular applicator block and microsuede, you can use smaller microfiber applicators which contour shapes better, like these:

    3D One is the one-step I use in my business. Everytime after polishing I'm surprised by how a one-step product can be so effective in removing scratches and leave a very nice finish. In combination with a medium foam pad or a mircofiber pad, depending on the type of paint, it's always a succes.

  • @JohnArnoldPhotography
    @JohnArnoldPhotography 8 месяцев назад +2

    I have used the 3D One on a couple of cars and very leased with it. In my experience on a 2014 Mazda and 2005 Tacoma, I probably could have gone with a more aggressive compound, or perhaps cleaned my pads more often. I worried before I used the product it would be too much correction, but found in my case it is pretty gentle. So I was glad to have chosen that based on Pans reviews. I have a 2016 Subaru mostly garaged that I will use the 3D One on as I am confident not to much paint correction occurs. Can’t wait for the pad vid too. Thanks Pan you’re the man.

    Hello Panagiotis. Cheers from Greece.
    I have an Alfa Romeo 156 in black color, not metallic. The color is distressed in some places, it has oxidation and looks a little white. It also has spiders and some small scratches.
    Can I use heavy cut and then polish and what product do you recommend?
    If I risk eating the thin layer of paint should I go for all in one for a smooth cut?
    What do you think?
    Thank you for your help

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yasou Mixali! (I'm Pandelis by the way). Yes if you have oxidation, and heavier scratches and swirls, you should start with a compound first, and a cutting pad. And then do a polish with a polishing pad.
      I don't know how much total thickness of paint you're working with, or how many times you have corrected the paint before. Your only way to know for sure is to use a paint depth gauge. If you have never polished the paint before, I wouldn't worry about removing too much material. You should be fine.
      But you have to do a few test spots first, to find out which compound and pad combination will work best on your specific paint, with your specific issues. And then do test spots to figure out the best polish and pad combo for the polish stage.
      There's no such thing as one solution for all types of paint unfortunately.

    Hey Pan, I’ve got a White Pearl 2021 Toyota Landcruiser that has never been paint corrected or polished. Can’t decide between Sonax Perfect Finish + Rupes Yellow Foam or 3D One with Euro fiber microfiber pads. I’m worried that the 3D One + Euro fiber might remove too much clear coat since I’ve hears Toyotas have soft paint. I know best thing to do would be a test spot, but based on your experience What do you think might work best for a one step?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Месяц назад +1

      One paint correction session won’t be enough to remove a significant amount of clear coat with those two choices so don’t even worry about that.
      Do a test spot and see which one would work better. For sure the 3D One and Uro Fiber will cut more.

    I wouldn't recommend Turtle Wax 1 & Done. The wipe off is a nightmare! If you are a beginner I recommend getting Meguiars Ultimate Compound or Meguiars D300. Both contain fillers so a you need to wipe it with IPA once you are done. But its so much easier to remove compared to Turtle Wax. D300 might be a compound, but I find that it can be used as a 1 step as well. My 2nd favorite is 3D One.

  • @jcal5594
    @jcal5594 8 месяцев назад +1

    An interesting video for sure Pan, thanks but I'm getting a bit bogged down in definitions between all in one and one step. I'd consider TW Graphene Infused To The Max Wax to be an all in one, and Jescar Power Lock Plus to also be all in one? .. or one step. ?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад

      Keep it simple. "ALL-IN-ONE" means a polish + protection. A "ONE STEP" is a pure polish, no protection.
      All-in-ones are typically used by those who just want a quick correction and protection in one step.
      If you are planning on applying some protection after the polish, just use a pure polish (one step).
      Max Wax and Jescar Power Lock Plus are both paint protections. Not polishes.
      So you would polish your paint first, with what ever polish you want, then IPA wipe to remove polishing oils, and then apply either Max Wax or Power Lock Plus.
      One step just means you are doing one polishing step. A 2-step paint correction is for deeper swirls and scratches, where you'd start with a compound and cutting pad (first step) and finish with a polish and polishing pad (2nd step).
      After paint correction (machine polishing), you apply your choice of paint protection: wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

    Fantastic video, Pan! Remember, with the NSPs the metric to look at is Cost per Service. One will find that the $$ spent to correct will be on par with, or better than the other fine products you featured because you only need about 1 ounce (30 ml) of a Nano Surface Primer for a 1-step correction. Can Turtle Wax One and Done be used without power tools or a buffer/polishing device. Cannot afford power tools that I only may use 2 to 4 times a year. I do everything by hand or elbow grease.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад

      You can use most polishes by hand, but don’t expect incredible results and expect lots of elbow grease and it will take for ever. Unfortunately there are no miracles without a machine polisher.
      You don’t have to spend a fortune to get a decent polisher these days. Especially if you’re only using it a few times a year. Perhaps look at my affordable polishers video here: ruclips.net/video/LvPCkCqXEq0/видео.htmlsi=-Lkn33dxE6lmSra2

      Use a water spot remover first (sounds like you may have already) then do a light polish.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад

      Use a better water spot remover first (chemical decontamination), and then move to machine polishing. In many cases, when the water spots have been left unattended for a while, they start etching through the clear coat. So the water spot remover alone won't fully correct the issue. They will remove the mineral deposits, but you have to follow up with paint correction to correct the etching left behind.
      Here are a few very good water spot removers:

    The application of my graphene coating is flawed. Can I correct it with Essence Plus?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 месяца назад

      Essence Plus is more of a light filler to correct or mask some VERY LIGHT scratches and swirls, and perhaps revive a bit of the hydrophobics of a coating. So depending on what you mean by your coating is "flawed", perhaps this isn't the best option for you. If your coating is starting to fail, or you feel it wasn't properly applied, I'd repolish the entire vehicle to remove the existing coating, and redo a fresh application correctly.

    Hi Pan! Back with another question... 2021 GMC Yukon Denali BLACK... have 2 bird bombs that left damage to the clear coat. It is ceramic coated. Can you offer advisement to correct this? What polish and pads should i use?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 месяца назад

      There's no simple answer to things like that unfortunately. Bird droppings are acidic and if left unattended for too long, they can start etching through the clear coat, especially under the sun, just like mineral deposits from water spots can do.
      Of course, as soon as you see a bird dropping, you should at least use a waterless wash, rinseless wash or quick detailer to spray and dwell, and then wipe with a plush microfiber towel as quickly as possible. Or wash the car.
      There are different methods to remove bird droppings, going from less aggressive to most aggressive, depending on how long they have been left unattended, if they started etching the surface, etc.
      So from less aggressive to most aggressive goes as follows:
      1) Washing your car regularly. Once a week ideally (I wash my car twice weekly). Regular washing of your car really eliminates any staining.
      2) Machine polishing (paint correction). If just washing the car doesn't remove the stains, you're at the point of needed mechanical intervention, rather than chemical. So you'd wash the car, and then proceed to do a test spot. Use a polishing pad and polish first, less aggressive, and observe the results. If the stains are still there, use a compound and cutting pad, and then finish with a polishing pad and polish.
      5) If all of the above still don't work, you know you're at the point of needing water sanding steps (followed by machine polishing) or worse, a full panel respray. If the minerals have etched through the clear coat, there's nothing else to do at that point but to repaint unfortunately.

I prefer the GS over 3D one now 1 spray is much easier. Maybe DR Beasley can make a sprayable NSP45 and 95? Since you literally need 2 pea size for the "primeing" after that it's just one tiny pea on the pad. When a spray imo will distribute it better and follows DR Beasley less is more for their NSPs. 30:35 Pan, love your channel, watched some of your videos on my family account but subscribing on mine.
    I have a 2012 Yukon with the pearl diamond tri coat, owned for almost 3 years now. Previous owner maintained the vehicle very well, the clear coat has a shine like it was just waxed after my 2 1/2 years of washing. I use a microfiber mitt with Chemical Guys Citrus wash. The clear has practically no orange peel, may have already been flattened but hard to say.
    I just bought a detail pressure washer with cannon, i'm curious to find out if it may have a coating and the best way to maintain the OE finish, also what coating is recommended for the first time user?
    I don't believe the clear would be any different than other GM models of that vintage but there's no scratches and I want to continue how the finish looks.
    I've used Meguiers ultra cut, fine cut on other vehicles for polishing, Klasse AIO, Natty's blue or #26 yellow for wax....but haven't used anything but soap and a mitt on this Yukon...would like to get a new arsenal of products.
    I know it's impossible to answer without seeing it, but looking for any tips on products moving forward.

    After removing the wax by hand, is there a good buffing pad to use with a DA? I mean absolutely no cut, just a buff to help remove residue. There seems to be options like terry cloth, lambswool, microfiber etc.
    Also going to try the Turtle one and done, I know you like the orange Lake country but there's also a microfiber pad on the turtle website. Which one of these cuts more? I don't think I need much cut

      You hand apply paste waxes, and then buff manually with a microfiber towel. No polishers involved. If you want to use a polisher, you can use a soft pad to apply the wax at low speed (speed 1). A pad like this: amzn.to/3WMtzZW
      But once you did the entire car, you still buff off by hand with a microfiber towel, not by machine.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  7 месяцев назад

      A traditional 2-step paint correction starts with a compound, and finishes with a polish. Both of those contain no protection. You add your protection after those 2 steps.
      Then you have a separate category. All-in-one. Those are typically a polish infused with some light protection that can last 1 month to a few months at best. It's meant to quickly polish and protect in one step. After using an all-in-one, you apply either a wax or a paint sealant. You would not apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond to a virgin clear coat, so an all-in-one is not a good choice before applying a coating.
      All-in-ones won't achieve the same level of paint correction as a true 2-step process, for obvious reasons. The more time you spend perfecting the paint, the better the results.
      AIOs (all-in-ones) are meant for a quick and simple way to improve the appearance of paint, remove light swirls and scratches, and add a bit of protection too.

    Pan...Great and informative video. 2 questions..... 1-how can we tell or where would we find the on-line info on soft, medium or hard paint for all car models? 2-on the above video, what would be your top 3 picks?

      There is no such thing to my knowledge, as car manufacturers sometimes change paint suppliers in the same production year, for a same model (supply chain issues, issues with the paint itself, change of contracts, etc). The only way to know soft, medium or hard paint is to do panel tests to find the appropriate compound, polish and pad combo for your specific paint and level of desired paint correction. But don't overthink that part of it.
      All my top product recommendations are in my annual car detailing products awards. ;)

    Un autre banger Panner....we've been using the lake country Blue hdo pads with hyper polish on soft Toyota paint, and it's been amazing..
    Lots of transport scratches from drivers getting in out of dirty vehicles lately, so this combo works wonder..
    Yes, we dealership detailers care about customer vehicles.
    Tlc "jayce price"...is another compound we've been playing with, and it's pretty good so far.

    Great Video. I am an enthusiast and I have tried 3 of these: 3D One, DIY Detail Gold Standard, Turtle Wax One & Done. I am certainly not a pro but liked all three with DIY Detail being my favourite. Cheers

    I just finished a massive detail on my ‘21 Hyundai sonata N (fairly soft paint) with carpro essence, a scholl purple intermediate pad and a 21mm DA polisher. I was over the moon with the cut level and the great finish on soft paint. The wipe off and complete lack of dust is an absolute dream too. Because I couldn’t help myself I went back over the whole car with an 8mm DA and a very soft scholl yellow pad to jewel the surface again with essence. Looks fantastic and I will be applying NV Nova Evo over the top now that it’s primed for a coating. I also polisher the door jambs and now this is protected by essence which is great.
    For some spot areas that needed some extra cut I used Scholl S20 black which gives great cut for me on soft paint with the Scholl blue pad on a 21mm DA polisher. Just left a bit of haze which essence instantly cleans up. I’ve used S20 on medium/harder paints and had great results with it as a one step cut and finish. It does dust quite a bit though, although perhaps I’m just a bit spoiled on how easy essence is to wipe up.
    Enjoying this series. Can’t wait for the pad video. I’ve been enjoying experimenting with different pads and liquids so keen to hear what you have liked.

    I have a question: I am a great admirer of your work and your explanations, which sealant do you recommend for the best protection? Uno Protect or Essence or Menzerna? I don't intend to use a coating, just the sealant. Thanks in advance

      Rupes Uno Advanced or Uno Protect and CarPro Essence are not meant for super durable long lasting protection. You'll get a few months at best in normal conditions.
      If you want something that will last 1-2 years, you can use the CarPro Essence, and apply CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 ceramic coating on top (2 layers, 45-60 min between layers).

    Can I use one step polish before applying ceramic coating?
    Thank you for all the information you give to us

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Месяц назад +1

      You mean an all-in-one polish? No as those contain protection so you don’t want to use those before applying a ceramic coating.
      A one step is different. It just means you are doing a single step paint correction using a normal polish that has no protection in it. After that, you use a paint prep spray to remove polishing oils and you’re ready to apply the coating.

    I agree with all in 1 for daily drivers. Then maybe throw a quick coat of wax or sealant on top (Depending on what all in 1 you use.) But I used to use Wizards products when I did it professionally. (I used to work at a few different dealerships,and cleaning things with more freshly painted surfaces was a common thing. Wizards products were created by a former body shop guy and they are body shop safe.) But I would often use their Wizards Shine Master and their Wizards Nano Wax like a all in 1 on my Mustang every spring after a Michigan winter. I was very happy with the finish and the longevity of the product. If you haven't tried them I would love to see a review. Thanks Pan for all the Info.

    I have used a few of the products in this video and find them to work very well. For me Uno Protect worked great for my vehicle. I also tried one that you did not review, that being P&S Play Maker - All in One. At $42 USD for 32 oz. it worked VERY well and is very inexpensive. This product is infused with Bead Maker and the shine was second to none!
