- No this isn't another video about ChatGPT! This video is all about the Crochet Studio App - how it helped me design 4 crochet blankets for me and how it can do the same for you too!

🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.

Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Thank you, Robin!! I have had this app for some time and while I've used it for plenty of palette creation and a couple basic designs, I had literally no idea that it held sooo many design facets! You had me running for my phone, creating patterns like a mad woman lol.

This is absolutely genius!!! How easy you were able to pick color combos ( hardest for me), it actually arranges the squares for you-what a NO BRAINER!!! All in just seconds. Also what is incredibly smart is it gives you how much yardage (another of my hardest challenges). Truly amazing. I have to check my apps; I’m definitely downloading this right now. Let's hope the 2.0 version has a 'stash buster' feature to create projects designed within parameters set by telling it how much and what colors of extra yarn you've got left lying around from all the projects you did BEFORE you started using this app. Very cool!

@@HookedbyRobin I just downloaded the app. I look forward to playing with it. I'm currently trying to use up yarn by making circle in square granny squares. I'm just using all different color combos and I'll worry about how to use them later. I love color! Can never get enough of it! As for using metallic gold in your blanket, maybe you can do some metallic gold embroidery on top of the piece. Just a thought.

Thank you so much for suggesting this super clever app! I down loaded it immediately and started using, it is that easy, even for a 70 yr. old grandmother! I can spend hours sometimes searching online for a color palette and this app took a few seconds! The first image that I entered from my photos on my iPad was of an oil painting in an autumn country setting. The app chose many beautiful color palettes to consider. I love the way your granny afghans are turning out, your kids will really appreciate the warmth and love you put into creating them.

I think this app might be a godsend for me. I adore blankets, I'm always cold. I'm good at picking colours but the randomization of everything is really where I struggle. I've just started learning granny squares so this is perfect timing

I happened upon this video randomly while struggling with the oomph to finish some WIPs…the boredom is so, so, real. I start with excitement and enthusiasm and get about 1/4-1/2 way through and struggle to continue. I love to work on several items in a sort of rotation so I don’t get too bored, but let’s be honest…the urge to start something new eventually pulls me in.

You know what would be even better? If you could plug in what yarn type you have (weight, fiber, etc.) and how many yards you have and the app would spit out patterns that would work.
