Already had this pattern on my list, but it looks stunning in your choice of fabric. Great review. Thank you.
This is an awesome make! I love how it’s pre-gathered. I always look at his fabric and wonder what patterns would be good for it. Plus it looks beautiful with your hair! They definitely play off of one another! Can’t wait to see what you do next time!
Beautiful top. I love your vlogs. The cataloguing of fabric sounds interesting. My sewing room really needs organization.
Joanne Blair thanks Joanne 😊
Total Glamor!!!
thank you 😊
I love that top. It looks so easy to make. I will definitely take a look at the pattern and I may buy it. Your choice of fabric for your pattern is beautiful.
thanks Shirley 😊
Lovely top, off to get the pattern and fabric, if still available, going on a cruise in a couple of weeks, it will make a nice evening top with black skirt or trousers 😆
Hi, beautiful top and beautiful fabric 🥰
thank you Jane 😊
Beautiful!!! This pattern reminds me of a 1960’s Jiffy dress pattern that I just bought off of ebay😊
Lovely top. I’ve just bought the Sidewinder pants and looking forward to making them.
Jackie Wilkinson thanks Jackie 😊 Yes they look great 👍🏻
Hey there you are. Always great to see your latest sew out video. Your hair looks amazing. Mine is still growing out. My hair length was about to my middle back. I did however have 4 inches taken off. Balances it out. Cheers Cheryl.
thanks Dianna, yes I need a trim soon. Trying to avoid the dreaded hairdressers, ha ha.
@@StitchyBee same here. I just tie it up when sewing and go in for a trim.
Love your top and fabric!
thanks Betty 😊
You look so glamorous! I love the Kingfisher top too, so I’ll definitely be giving this one a try too x
Karen Dodgson thanks Karen 😊

Mary Sibley thank you 😊
The top looks great on you! I also love that retro wallpaper.
thank you 😊
Yours looks so beautiful and specialer yes it’s a word 🤣🤣🤣🤣 in that fabric xx
The top looks darling on you.
thank you Debra 😊
Nice top
I love your hair 'grow out'. I've just started embracing my curly hair and if my grey looked as good as yours, I would grow mine out. Love your channel. P.S. I love the duck print fabric I ordered from you.
ahh thanks Linda, go for it! There's loads of support online, have a look at a few of the silversisters type of hashtags etc. Glad you love the duckies, it's a stunner of a fabric.
Beautiful top.
thank you so much 😊
I was going through all my fabric and saw the fabric that I bought to make the Kingfisher shirt (after seeing it on your video) and yet I still haven't made it, I haven't even washed the fabric so this will be on my "next to sew" list. I do love that fabric (the pleated one) and I bought something very similar online called 'Bowie' when I received it it wasn't what I was expecting so I ended up giving it to a friend who has a little haberdashery store in the next town, and I am told the new owner of the fabric has put it to good use. I always say I am not buying anymore online patterns, but, I have seen some that I really do love, so I will be getting those. I also have just had a big buy up at the Spotlight sale, all the major paper pattern companies (yes. including Vogue..) were (AUD) $5.40, so I couldn't resist, one of them was the McCalls pattern that you reviewed last time.
thanks Allison 😊 I'm the same as you, sometimes I need a bit of inspo to dig out my existing patterns and sew those up. I have quite a collection ha ha. Your sale buys sound fab, great bargains!
This top looks so lovely on you and the fabric really suits the style. I could just see this as a dress in red in the same fabric for Christmas would look amazing. Your hair really is a lovely natural colour. Do you have a natural curl in your hair?
I’ve seen a couple patterns I want and it’s my birthday 2nd Oct 😉 lol xx
aren't they lovely patterns? I need to buy some too. Have a lovely Birthday, and may the sewing fairy bring you goodies 😉
Stitchy Bee Thank You 😊 xx
❤
Oh my word! Your top looks gorgeous - I think I want the same top in that same fabric and I love your suggestion for the dress too.
I cannot tell on my tablet how much fabric is required for the top and dress - please could you let me know how much is required for each - size medium.
thanks Andrea 😊 The pattern says to allow for 1.5m for the top and 2.5m for the dress. My fabric is 150cm wide and I cut my top so the creases run top to bottom. I used less than 1.5m for the top.
That's a beautiful top Cheryl, your hair is coming on too - going to be gorgeous x
It shouldn't be too hard to add some sleeves?
Bex thanks Bex 👩🏻🦳 Yes most sleeve patterns will fit I think 👍🏻😘
I loooove your choice of fabric :D It's a shame that it's so close to the neck, I always feel like I'm suffocating when wearing such tanks.
thank you so much. Yes I know what you mean, it's easy to loosen though. I think I made mine a bit tight :-)
@@StitchyBee could you have the elastic looser?
Seams Without Stress Yes, I don’t like things up around my neck but I’m very tempted by this top.
@@lindamcdowall6505 definitely, it's quite a large neck to play with.
@@christinecrabb1911 I know, it's always hard to resist.
Hi, I love the pleated fabric and the beautiful top. Would you have enough width in that fabric to make a dress if u wanted to keep the pleats running from neck to hem?
thank you 😊 It's a good question, I think there may be just enough - it's 150cm wide, so as long as the full dress is less than that it's ok.
Hi Cheryl, you look amazing in that top and the fabric is so beautiful 💖. I wish I suited a high neck top, but I always feel too "booby" for that, sadly 😔. I suppose you could loosen the neck line a bit, but I'm not sure if that would spoil the look. Looking forward to next week's video 😁👌😘
thanks Sally 😊xx
That is gorgeous! Love the fabric - I’m in the USA, can I get the fabric here or can I order it through your channel? The pattern I know is a PDF so that won’t be a problem. Thanks so much, love the surge hem!!!! Thanks again and God Bless!
Carolyn Coppola thank you Carolyn 😊 Yes I do ship to the U.S and worldwide. Have a look at stitchybee.co.uk I think that fabric may be sold out but you can sign up for email updates for restocked and new fabric news.
Thanks for watching 😊
I would like to make this as well. If you are cutting it on the cross grain it would seem that you could get it out of 1 yd. do you think for size XL?
I think I allowed 1.5m for the top as per the instructions, but used less. Possibly a metre will do it. Double check the pattern though 😊
How did you finish the bottom of your blouse. It is stunning!
thanks Kelly 😊 I just overlocked it.
🐯
Can you please let me know where I can purchase the pattern
Mary Sibley Hi Mary, sure. The link is in the description box, but here it is again to save you looking... thesewingrevival.com/products/egret-tank-dress
your hair is amazing! (yes, nice top, but the HAIR!!! Sorry.)
Frau Bach ha ha, thank you 🤣👩🏻🦳👩🏻🦳👩🏻🦳👍🏻
You match your cushions. Love that material.
ha ha I thought that too, ha ha :-)
