Hey Alex ! Those tops are fab and I like the idea of a dress version with elastic at the waist. I have my eye on that poncho, too! I love how versatile it is and so easy to wear. I see many in my future… Enjoy your “summer hols” - I look forward to seeing you in September. 💜
Hope you have a lovely time with your family - always precious time. Thank you so much for all you do keeping the sewing community informed and inspired. It is much appreciated! X
I really love your reversible top with those lovely gathers at the neckline. The fabric just really elevates. I hope you have tons of fun in the time you take off.
Thank you for the inspiration as always! I am watching you and sewing tiny snaps on some baby clothes. Tedious work. Love your tops!! Enjoy your family time and see you in September!
Such cute tops! I'll miss seeing you of course - especially for things like the reminder to make a poncho for a swimsuit coverup - but enjoy the last one this summer. My youngest (now 25) just moved closer and I can't wait to see her more often. The youngest - you don't love them more than the others, but they do have a special place as the last one - ❤️
LOVE your Nani Iro coming and going top 👍🏾 esp for those odd leftover fabrics. Next level for a truly reversible top, I use full facings. Of course, works best w 2 lighter weight fabrics. I am inspired by your crocheted bag 🧡 You WAY underestimate your skill level. Enjoy your digital vaca.
I enjoy Daniel Scott’s teaching style, he has lots of different Adobe courses on Skillshare - maybe search ‘Envato Tuts’ first though as you’ll find that some of them are also free to watch on RUclips. I send my files to ‘Prinfab’ to get them printed onto fabric, I would definitely recommend them I’ve always been pleased with their service and products. Have a really great summer break - as a ‘soft autumn, warm/ soft’ colouring I always look forward to seeing your makes and watching your vlogs! 😊
I’m on a bit of a Sewing Revival sewing kick at the moment so I will have to check this one out. It is winter in New Zealand so not wearable at the moment but I will pop this into the back of my mind for summer. I love the blue and black one you made. What a great scrap buster. I am also a Mum if a child finishing High School and heading to Uni in February. After 20 years of school lunches it will be quite the change. I was made redundant earlier this year so it has been nice to spend some time with my youngest before he is officially and adult later this tear. Enjoy your break and last summer as a school Mum.
That’s what happens when I pattern tested, it was the wrong time of year. My three babies were born in three years so this bit where they all leave has been condensed, especially with covid meaning the oldest has been temporarily home. In September we go from 5 to 2 😬. It’s going to be very strange. Let’s hope our babies actually want to spend some time with us 😂❤️
Bonjour Alex from the South of France. Lovely to see and hear you, although you have made me miss my sewing machine. Love all the tops you have made and a genius idea to use the nani iro scraps up. I have this pattern out at home shortlisted to make next, so it was great to see them modeled on you. Enjoy your summer break. I will def try to connect to the zoom pantie party. Again i brought knicker elastic before I left as I wanted to have a crack at making some, so this is the perfect place. I taught myself Adobe premiere pro and a bit of photoshop using a combination of skillshare and good old Instagram. So good luck with illustrator, I can't draw a straight line but am much better with video, but hey we can't be good at everything. Enjoy your break with your family, I am back end of August just in time for you coming back in September. A tout a l'heure....bisous.
The tops are a huge success, how clever of you. However, totally disagree about the lining in the bag, I think it looks fab!! Perfect combination. Would be really sad not to complete it - looks like a happy bag, definitely not naff 😉. Will miss your posts but good decision to take a break, have a good summer.
That reversible top is amazing!!!! Very cool 😎 All the versions look great. It looks super versatile. The shape is fab. Good value for money is YT uni. Better than Salford uni that’s for sure!. Love the bag pattern too
As always Alex you make wonderful garments and I love the way you just give it a go and it turns out so good! Using every scrap is important as the waste we create is awful 😞 anyway have a wonderful break with your family and I look forward to seeing you next time xx
Thanks Alison, yes it felt good to have used it all up. There’s a tiny bit of the black left that I can squeeze a face mask out of too. See you in September 🥰❤️
Great to see your makes - the two colour top looks great - clever idea. Like you I’ve been melting in my sewing room despite fans, blinds etc. That bag looks so interesting
Really enjoyed all your makes. I was eyeing this pattern earlier in the week. Think you have convinced me. Hope you have a wonderful break with family and friends and I look forward to seeing you in the fall. You always make me smile. 🙃
Lol! University of RUclips! So true. Really like your tops, especially the green/blue. It is especially flattering. Enjoyed the painting in the background too!🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦😅
Enjoy the summer with the family Alex- precious times! Great idea with reversible top - looks brilliant. I have one or two PE patterns and they are such good value as always lots of options - think I may get the Poncho one. Thank you for your time as always 😊
Hi Alex x thanks for sharing your fabulous makes 💁♀️ Genius idea for double wear of the egret top. It's great that you can see a flash of the other colour whichever way round you wear it 👌 just fabulous and totally unique 😉 Have a wonderful time with your family over the summer 😘 @aloadofbobbins
Thanks Karen, I wasn’t too sure about how the two colours would work together, but I’m pleased to be getting use out of them both. See you in September 🥰❤️
Have a lovely break honey. Totally agree that family comes first 💕. Just have to say that the reversible top you’ve made is absolutely stunning! Reminds me of the Tessuti Rae top. Makes me want one now 😍😍
Hope you have a lovely break with family can’t blame you and let’s hope weather will be kind in the north west. Love your tops, another interesting pattern from stitch revival, I’m definitely sold have made two stichbird dresses. Really look forward to autumn/winter ideas.
Ooh love your reversible top, what a great idea! I think we are getting involved with the Funderwear challenge at Fabricate in some way - not sure what yet but a zoom meeting sounds fun! Enjoy your break Alex - family first always 🤗
Your tops look great. I finally got my hands on some of the teal Nani iro and can’t wait to get going on it.. have a good break, look forward to seeing you again in September.
@@AlexJudgeSews I’m hoping to do a stitch bird dress. I’m shorter than you 5’4”, so I don’t think the cross grain cut would give me the length of dress I want but I really liked the way your top looked with the brighter colour down one side, so I might do the stitch bird that way. It’s a great pattern!
Wow, love these thank you so much for the share, I’ve followed the link from the sewing revival website. I’m looking for a pattern for some cotton I’ve just bought which I think would be up your street 😊. I’ll share it on my next vlog.
Enjoyed your video. I have also made the stitchbird dress four times but now looking for a maxi dress for a mature woman . Wondering about westcliff dress, have you made it? Or can you recommend other comfortable maxi dresses? Thanks. 🌞
I do like these tops. I like The Sewing Revival patterns vey much. Enjoy this time with your family.
Thank you I’m looking forward to a slow Summer, see you in September 🥰❤️
I think the spot of yellow is gorgeous 🌻🌼 against the blue
Thanks Kathy, I’m going to hold onto it and see if I change my mind. 😁❤️❤️❤️
Lovely tops, great use of your fabric scraps. Enjoy your summer and family. We will miss you 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you so much for the mention - glad you enjoyed my bag pattern, and really look forward to seeing your vinyl version Alex xxxx
Have a wonderful break!
I love the two color reversible top - it's lovely! Enjoy the rest of your summer with family :)
Love your top. I have that pattern. I’ve made the dress but not the top. I’m going to try it. Enjoy your summer.
Hope all is well with you
