Tova, Mathias and Evar: I have spent the last month bingeing about an hour a day watching your story unfold chronologically. I wanted to see it all before I made any comments. I’m glad I did. In my profound enjoyment of your vlogs, I find such a powerful story of the journey and circle of life! Your lives are so wonderfully and seamlessly connected to Nature and the changes of seasons and the support of the neighboring village. It is such a powerful, yet gentle rebuke of the way most people live! Your stories expose the myths most of humanity take as foundational truth: 1. That striving for ever more progress in the form of wealth and material goods is our purpose. 2. That we humans are central to everything important that happens and the rest isn’t worth paying attention to. 3. That we exist apart from nature. I am happy to be a new patron for such a wonderful family with such powerful ideas the world needs to hear. May you get one million viewers and more. Keep dreaming and be well!

At least with physical film, photos, video tape, books etc it could be stored more safely / secretly.
@johnny Good I have a small collection of my top channels with lovely people as Matthias and Tova are, incredible, stunning videography, content, editing and this channel is in that jewel of the best. I love the couple and their son, and the beautiful quality of their videos!
It is so inspirational and beautiful to watch you living in such a gentle and cooperative way with your natural environment! I was touched by Mathias’ concern for how a wind turbine might possibly affect the local birds and the beauty of the area. Greetings to the 3 of you in your icy white winter wonderland, from the hot dry land of summer in Australia.
originally i started watching you guys after #79 ,( she has been living off grid for 8 years) but with this wonderful series of all of your video's , i have been watching for days and days !!!!!!!!!!!!!! love you guys more and more , THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG that moonlight ski trip was so unbelievably beautiful , you ve got so much talent to capture the beauty of your landscape and the drone footage are incredible so immersive , i love it , this channel deserve millions of viewers and subscribers. thank you for another magical escape into a dreamland.
You are really a brilliant filmer! And I have worked in the documentary film Business for years, I know what I am talking about. Its the mix of the nice closeups the dynamic drone scenes and your sense of poesy and your love of the land and your family and your animals one can feel through the camera. Really really beautiful and heart touching. Thank you all and have a good journey into spring! Best wishes from Austria!
It would be a blessing if your beautiful filming could be sold to help with expenses....snow plower, camera equipment and BABY expenses. Your boy is beautiful!!!!
Your channel reminds me that 95% of the things I might worry or get upset about in my everyday life are not even worth mentioning. All the best for you and your family!
Absolutely stunning! I was born and raised in Lapland, above the artic circle (Finland) so I know the circumstances. It is really hard with the temperatures and in general with the long winter. You are doing fantastic! Just keep filming and doing what you do. We love this!
I don't even have words to describe the beauty in your videos. The landscape is just mind blowing. And then there are the activities of skiing, shovelling snow and blowing snow... and most of all your beautiful faces. I have to mention the moonlit night; it was stunning. thank you for your sharing your life and family with us.
I replay the videos and have auto play turned on so the ads are seen several times. I do this on my three different devices so these lovely people have more revenue. I hope this helps them.
Stunning doesn’t even begin to describe your filming! The clarity, sound, music, and presentation are altogether so beautiful. So are your smiles, especially when you look at your adorable little boy!! Ivar looks so cute in his snuggly outfit.
That little babe's footwear is adorable. Thanks for including him for our viewing pleasure. Yeah, snowblowers suck but they are pretty necessary. A roof rake would serve you best. They are cheap, easy to use, and allow you to stay ahead of the snow on your roof without having to climb up and shovel. Cheers from Maine, USA!
My God, what was that! Can't remember when I have watched something so magical. It's beyond words, especially the night view of the landscape. Are they for real!!! I forgot the world for a while. So first I started watching this video with my phone, then switched to my laptop to grab the whole essence. Finally, moved to my 43" HD tv, which could make justice to the quality of the video, and to my feelings.
same here start with my phone and switch to the big screen to get the full experience , unreal how good he is at capturing such beauty , he put national geographic to shame hands down
The night skiing was incredible, the most surreal thing I've ever seen. You should submit that to some sort of film festival contest or something like that!! I watched it over and over just trying to absorb it and put myself there!!
I've probably watched this video 100 times and it never gets old....the moonlight ski trip is unreal....magical...yes, just like a dream! I wish it were longer, I wish they could all be longer because they're so amazing but thank you so much, I appreciate how much time and effort you put into all of your videos.
I was going to say something about the baby talking so well but I didn't actually think about that I thought about that too but I wanted to say thank you for saying something about a thinks amazing that and that's all the space and take the baby outside they're wonderful parents and they take really good care of their child God bless you and thank you so much again for mentioning that for all of us
I feel very sad when you both are working very hard to live in that hard area. Still it gives happiness but plz care your health, you both are taking lots of efforts to show us the beautiful scenario of our b' full planet. We pray for you. Keep healthy n safe . The background music is stunning.
I am lovin this, it is soo beautiful. It is almost painful how beautiful it is. I have experienced something alike myself, and you simply forget the chill and freesing - it simply takes the breath out of you
A beautiful family, humble and hard working. I have much admiration! ❤️ the scenery is enchanting and breathtaking! Thank you for sharing all this with us.
Before, there is this amazing woman, Jonna Jinton, and now there's this wonderful family. Sweden is so lucky for having such souls who loves and embraces everything that she is. Can't wait to grow and become stable and move to Sweden! - much love from the Philippines 💙
Your films are lovely and educational. Being Polish I love the snow, frost and another extreme which is hot weather and the absorbtion of sound by falling snow. I like scarcity of music in your films. Happy New Year!
Absolutely stunning. The light from the moon makes everything looks so magical and the glitter from the snow sparkling like little jewels in the moon light. Beautiful and what a lovely time to ski walk, though I would be scared in case there were wolves about, or any wild animal actually. Reminds me of Narnia, you have captured the beauty so well and the sky studded with those stars in such a clear sky. wow, that sunrise is fantastic. Look at wild wonderful life they have installed solar panels on their homestead quite a long distance from their house, perhaps this will help you and if you had questions you could ask Josh he has learnt a lot about solar.
The sound of the stream running through the snow is the most beautiful sound on the earth! Could you possibly record it to a separate video? And also the birds, singing in the woods! It’s so amazing!! Take care, guys!
I was thinking of The same! I think i could leave My sleeping medicine alone then! Im not joking! What about 4 seasons videos? Winter/spring/summer/autumn nature sounds video! Last week i could sleep 3 nights with The sound a frozen river/lake. Have you ever put youre ear on a frozen lake? Wowwwww
Hi, actually, there is also a swedish vlogger who kinda have the same soul with these family, her name is Jonna Jinton. And yes, aside from vlogging, she do record raw sounds from the rivers, streams, birds, forests, and even the ice! I swear you'll love her channel as well. Jonna Jinton and these family are my favourite swedish RUclipsrs 💙💙💙
It is fun and exhilarating in my opinion. The only part that's hard for me is the transition from a cozy warm house to the outdoors. Once I'm out in it, the endorphins kick in and it's blissful.
You're the best drone pilot! Very impressed! I lived in Alaska in my younger years. I appreciate your attitude with the extreme dark, cold and snow. It's hard and draining to be alert with so much those elements can bring. Love your show!
We call it ...late winter or early spring. I loved your baby's winter clothes. Thank you for this video. Here in Texas we have been in Arctic temperatures for a week now and were not prepared or used to it . So I appreciated watching you cope with that abundance of snow. Drone shots and all of the beautiful music was amazing!!! Blessings to your little family I will send some patreon $$$ soon to help
I know it takes time, effort and dedication to set up those shots for filming and then to edit the material, which is why I want to say that your footage of your late night, full moon ski journey was one of the more visually stunning moments I've ever experienced in my RUclips viewing memory. You really have a gift in what you capture, regardless of what equipment you are using. You communicate so much without even having to say a word.....Beautiful! What you share with us, the anonymous viewers, is very special and I extend my most sincere gratitude.
The drone shots are magical. I am a 4 generation Swedish American who grew up on a small farm in the northern part of the USA. My growing up didn’t get that cold, but I remember many weeks with that much snow. Now I live in far southern USA... no snow at all. I enjoy your channel very much. ❤️❤️❤️
The cutest part of your video was obviously at 35 minutes I’m sure no one would deny. The backflip off of your small shed I give it a nine out of 10 you must work on the landing. Ha ha ha we are working on getting through this winter together thank you for your video.
This is living at it's finest! Absolutely nothing can compare to this family's way of life. Peace, gratitude, togetherness, and love! It's real living. God bless you and your lovely family. 🤗
Just found your channel and, as I am from South Africa and not at all used to your kind of cold, I am in awe of what you are accomplishing. Must say, the light during the moonlight ski looks surreal and extremely beautiful. Wishing your family all of the best. 🇿🇦
Love your area. Was up in the early 90’s for a few Sisters Quilt shows in July. But a birds eye view a few years ago, WOW have you grown and spread Out.
ah, I've been to Portland and Mount Saint Helens once, when I was 14 years old, in the summer though. I always look forward to the full moon ski trips. /Mathias
Clear night skies in winter usually equal very cold weather, especially around full moons. It's like this in Canada where I live. Your climate in Sweden is similar to ours. Your drone footage and skiing in full moon is breathtaking. You are very courageous to live the way you live. You have all my respect. Stay safe.
Many are struggling bad with the cold temps, snow and ice here in the states. Texas, Omgoodness it’s a devastating situation! Here where I live, we haven’t had snow like this in a very long time! So Mother Nature has shown herself big time. Sweet sweet baby boy you two have, so adorable!
Best wishes from snowy Russian North-West. We have a lot of snow and cold this winter, but not as much you do. And yeah, we wish spring to come, little bit tired of this snow (we live in old cabin too). I just wanted to say, that we love your channel, so amazingly beautiful sights and gorgeous northern nature. Thank you for this opportunity. My kids absolutely love Ivar! So do I. Wish you all the best! Lena.
On my living room wall there is a 30"x30" black and white photograph of the farm my grandfather grew up on. It looks just like you're valley. Most of the valley floor are cleared farmfields in the picture, with dense pine forests surrounding them. Now, the fields are all grown back in with tall pines. But the house and out buildings are still there. Watching you two has taught me how much work went into living there. My grandfather came to the United States from Sweden about 1905, because the farm couldn't support so many children. You have my respect and my affection, thank you for sharing you're lives with us! Bless you, all three.
Amazing nighttime video, I could see Orion's belt. I live in the forest year round so can appreciate your dilemma with snow removal. Enjoying watching your family videos.
I really loved the moonlit ski trip... it was so beautiful! Alhamdulilah! So much snow... it's really nice to see the real winter life overseas because here in the tropics, we have summer all year round. It's hard to imagine thick snow covering the land and so much cold that even the stream is frozen solid.
So happy I found your channel. 😘 Your baby is so precious! One thing a baby does that doesn't need translation is laughter! This grandma knew he was teething and so happy he finally cut in those "pearly whites"! That makes him a very happy baby. Can't wait to binge watch your journey. You are doing an amazing job so far. God Bless all your endeavors! ,🙏💖🙏
I genuinely enjoy the creativity + effort you put into filming these videos, Mathias! I really am so glad your latest few videos have gained so many views! I've been hoping that people find your channel, since it ALWAYS puts me on a good mood. your videos are so genuine, creative, fascinating, etc. and it's nice learning new things from you and Tova. all the best!
Love your videos!!! Long time viewers here. You inspired us to create our own yt channel here in California... We don't homestead, yet, but with our dog, we hike, fish, dine out and camp. Thank you for all the hard work, it doesn't go unnoticed! -WQCtv
Ooooh, you don't even know how much I love your beautiful family, your surroundings, the way of life and everything you share with all of us to see... it just feels to me like the true essence of life... Thank you so much and all the best to you and to everyone in the world...
Hello! I cry because it's soo beautiful and magical and at the same time so difficult... Thank you very much to share your life with us. Ivar is soo beautiful baby😊
I'm just up to the midnight ski at the start and wanted to wait until the end to comment but I couldn't - thank you soooo much for bringing me some beautiful memories from my childhood in Scotland, walking in the forest at night on a full moon with the moon so bright it seemed like daylight! So beautiful the area you live, thanks for taking us there :)
I can't believe how beautiful your videos are. I live in the American south, that much snow would be the end for us, but it's good to know that it can be done and with grace. Blessings from New Orleans.
Wow! So happy to see this new video! How beautiful all of the snow looks! And Ivar is growing so fast! He is a beautiful, happy little baby. That is evident. Thank you for sharing your lives! 🇺🇸
I watch all your videos, I come across a path full of struggle for the journey and the cycle of life! Life is so so wonderfully connected with nature and seasons and support from friends in the neighborhood. It's such a strong but delicate attachment, the way most people live! greetings from Brazil
What a great harmony between those elaborate, mystically illuminated sequences of a full moon trip in nature and this unspectacular, calm music. Enchanting! These videos are enriching the soul. Thank you for that.
I like this very much. It's a sort of memory of myself at a young age skiing into my grandfather's cabin above three thousand feet in the Central Cascade Mountains of Washington State USA. Our dog Amber tread on the backs of our skis in the moon light . after digging a tunnel into the entrance of the beautiful cabin, a fire was started in the barrel stove and soon we were all cozy and warm.
Thank you both so much for sharing parts of your life with us. I find it so relaxing and joyous to watch. I admire you so much in what you are doing. You are a beautiful family and truly genuine people. Sending my love to you all xx
-22⁰ F wow! We're experiencing a winter storm here in Houston Texas at 14⁰ F for 2 days only. We lost power and schools closed LOL! I just can't wrap my mind around that temperature. I'm sending everyone warm hugs 🤗
I've never seen snow in person, only in pictures and videos. This was the first time that I could see moonlit sparkles. It is magical. Thank you for sharing❄
I just shoveled another foot of snow ❄️ this evening here in The Mountains 🏔 of New Hampshire it has been snowing non stop for weeks now gets overwhelming at times
You said in one of your previous videos that you wondered if it got boring (not the word you used) for the viewer to see you doing the same things all the time. I promise you, not one second has been boring. Even the chores you have to do daily have something interesting to see and learn. I feel guilty sitting in the heat in Los Angeles and watching you in the frigid cold. Also, I've watched your videos from the beginning and I've never heard you say anything negative. I find that astounding. You get disappointed or let down but "it is what it is" comes out and makes me smile. Your positivity is humbling. Thank you!
The extreme cold creates a very special environment very few get to experience. The pure beauty is astounding. Thank you so much for your dedication, determination and time sharing your experiences with us
indeed - brilliantly captures crisp-glinting snowflakes atop the drifting snow... that's some fine camera work right there, not to speak of all the choreography of the drone while skiing!!!
Nicely said absolutely beautiful, it’s almost unreal - stunning stunning

The drone shots are magical. I am a 4 generation Swedish American who grew up on a small farm in the northern part of the USA. My growing up didn’t get that cold, but I remember many weeks with that much snow. Now I live in far southern USA... no snow at all. I enjoy your channel very much. ❤️❤️❤️
The moonlight trip, the beautiful trees full with snow...felt like pure Art! Just amazing
Ivar is adorable and starting to look like his dad. He also looks like a very intelligent little boy!!
I really look forward to every video. It’s so beautiful there. And you’re such a beautiful family. 💜
it's was -40C here in Edmonton Canada for about a week and a half. We've finally warmed up to -22C today :)
I live in Bend, Oregon. We have snow but nothing like yours. I think it’s beautiful that you went out at night to go skiing.

Isn't Bend, Oregon where that crazy teacher screamed hysterics at lockdown protesters in sept?
As of right now this video has zero dislikes. Now that is accurate!
These shots are masterful
I noticed that also........that is pretty amazing in RUclips land!
36 idiots with no taste have changed that count. Terrible
Clear night skies in winter usually equal very cold weather, especially around full moons. It's like this in Canada where I live. Your climate in Sweden is similar to ours. Your drone footage and skiing in full moon is breathtaking. You are very courageous to live the way you live. You have all my respect. Stay safe.
This is starting to remind me of the greatest show on Earth for a completely different reason. I'm so glad I found your Channel
Missed you guys. So glad to see you are coping. Sending best regards from the UK x
Lena.
That skitrip in the moonshine was really something!
Would love to see the picture. If its ok, you could send a phone photo of it to talasbuan@gmail.com
Amazing nighttime video, I could see Orion's belt. I live in the forest year round so can appreciate your dilemma with snow removal. Enjoying watching your family videos.
So beautiful....so cold.....so magical ....just incredible...and beautifully filmed 😊
The English word for when the snow sets up after being disturbed is "sintering". Most english speakers don't know this word.
We call it “ compacted snow “ in New England
@@meanderingwaveschris You bet. Sintering is the process.
But isn't it a metallurgical process?
When you shovel it, it is like shovelling cement.
So true.......I have never heard of it before! Thanks for the fun new word to say to people! :)
Aww Ivar is such a cute little tubby in those wooly outdoors clothes 🥰🥰
God Bless all your endeavors! ,🙏💖🙏
My favourite channel so far, you seem genuine and simple people that are not easy to achieve, best wishes..
-WQCtv

Yes I so agree.... such a beautiful simple life but a bit tough... I'd love to try and do what.they do... not sure if I would survive... hehee

If I was there , I would have definitely, 100% surely jumped from the roof to that beautiful heap of snow 🙂😊
Your cinamatography is amazing. such beautiful shots, well done. You have a beautiful family!
You made our day. Thank you for all your beautiful pictures and sharing your family.
No words ...........feel like a dream ......in the lap of nature
I watch all your videos, I come across a path full of struggle for the journey and the cycle of life! Life is so so wonderfully connected with nature and seasons and support from friends in the neighborhood. It's such a strong but delicate attachment, the way most people live! greetings from Brazil
So beautiful to end with Ivar playing in the snow! 😍
The nights are absolutely gorgeous.I love seeing the glimmer of the snow crystals.Wish I could spend Christmas with you guys..Great Video!
Thank you both so much for sharing parts of your life with us. I find it so relaxing and joyous to watch. I admire you so much in what you are doing. You are a beautiful family and truly genuine people. Sending my love to you all xx
Gorgeous winter shots, especially that moonlit ski trip...
-22⁰ F wow! We're experiencing a winter storm here in Houston Texas at 14⁰ F for 2 days only. We lost power and schools closed LOL! I just can't wrap my mind around that temperature. I'm sending everyone warm hugs 🤗
Ivar is one of the top 5 best looking kids I've ever seen and I'm 68!
I agree and he looks so strong and healthy ... all that healthy food liver and kefir w wild blueberries...
True!
