Ivar melts my heart with those big beautiful blue eyes and that contagious smile.
Ivar is just too adorable. So sweet, and lucky to have wonderful parents.
I'm always a little bit sad when your videos end. You folks are great company!
In northern Spain there are also special countryside constructions designed to keep mice away from grain and other farming tools, they are called ''hórreos'', they are made of stone, sometimes wood too, and they stand atop four stone pillars. :-) Sending much love from Spain.
Galicia yes!!! What memories hiding in my grandmother’s hórreo.
We have something similar in Portugal too :)
@@saritasarit my friend Enrique is from Galicia .
Ivar just makes me smile. he is so cute and testing his strengths. The Butter making was very interesting. It will be fun to see the old building reformed. Thanks for sharing your busy life.
Aww, that ending with adorable little Ivar💓
SoOOooo BEAUTIFUL! WHAT 'JOY' you bring to this ol' grandma's heart! A SIMPLE, PURE, HUMBLE life...just canNOT be beat. Ivor is now a STRONG, HEALTHY and HANDSOME little man of only 4 months. You are eating well and doing ALL the right things. The ending 'PRIDE OF PAPA' caught on vid...is something 'most precious'. Matthias and Tova, do NOT worry about tomorrow...enjoy the 'Great Treasures' you already possess. What you need will come in good order, as you surrender to the perfection of each new day and it's challenges. GRATITUDE is the ATTITUDE...without 'complaint' and you already, in your young years...HAVE IT! Health and God's blessing on you n' yours. Thank-you so very much for sharing your blessed lives with us!
marie leopold Beautifully said ❤️
Very beautiful people, living peacefully in a strong bound with the nature! Wishing you all the best! 🌼💕🌿
That roof calculation moment with the old dial-up modem sound in the background really cracked me up laughing! Enjoy the rest of July!
can you still buy dial-up?
@@paulrosebush9137 No...but you can get a recording of the dial-up tone. 8^)
Your videos are so relaxing. I loved seeing the cheese and butter being made. Thank you so much as always for sharing. It so wonderful to see Ivar too, he already looks so big.
Your son is so precious !
Get what you mean with longue days. My parents went on vacation so I have to run the farm all by myself, the animals (theirs and mine), the garden and still work my day time job (still working from home)...
And take care of two orphan hedgehogs who need feeding every three hours.
This is such a busy summer !!!
Concerning the pigs, what you are buildings remind me of "chicken tractors", some portable structures. Look at it on the web. It might help or give you a few ideas.
Trying to find the time to build one for my young geeses.
I laughed so hard at the boys trying to figure out how to build the pig structures and the fax sounds began at 22:00. Thanks for the laughs !
Take care of yourselfs.
Yes, it is a cooking show, and a DIY homebuilding show, and a farm animals show, and a baby show. All of the above. And fun to watch. I loved the end where your son stood, trying to balance himself and catching himself as he leaned too far forward, and you smiling in the process. Awesome stuff, real stuff, and the reason I love this channel.
"Messmør" is what we in Norway call "Prim" and I just love it! Whenever I get family or friends visiting me on Crete from Sweden or Norway, I ask them to buy me some. It stays fantastic in the frezer. I admire that you make it yourself. Bravo!
That is so sad to see the older buildings forgotten about!!! You're such a blessing to them!!!
True
Every old farm house in Finland and Sweden is is built like the log house you have. It is tradition which we are losing. It is nice when somebody is waking up that tradition. I would like to go over and give you help with those buildings. Cheers från Österbotten 😀
Ivar is growing so fast and such a handsome little guy!!!
The best 26 minutes of my Sunday. So thankful of your effort to share with us. Thank you. Take care.
Ivar surely looks like his Da! I love the three legged pot you used over the fire!
You are a very Beautiful, Lovely, hardworking family!
Greetings from Hungary ! 👍 👌😀❤️❤️❤️
Hooking that butter churn to a water wheel would be a real work and time saver. When you build your milk house down by the creek think about that.
I loved this wooden hut made in 1846, the way it was built with those perfect fittings. I really like this construction technique.
Each episode is my gift from all of you; of reconnecting and grounding in the everyday of life, that is a completed circle; What a Teaching, witnessing you, is! Thank you, Dearest Family!
I admire what you are doing ,I am a lazy bugger myself ,I think it is good that you are showing how it should be done ,also you're Baby is totally Gorgeous xx
When I was growing up we had the same separator and churn on a high bench, that you didn’t have to bend your back when using them, and they were bolted down so they didn’t move, and my Mum who is now 93 years old would sing while separating and churning, brings back happy memories to watching you.love from Ireland.
Lovely video as always. We had similar grain stores in the UK, some of which still survive. The stone pads that stop the mice getting in are called mushrooms - because that's what they look like :)
Thank You for such a perfectly peaceful informative and honest film. Enjoyed every second, equations floating very amusing, could easily have watched an hour. Your son is beautiful. Wishing you all blessings for health, happiness, wisdom, peace and love.
The little one is very sweet and curious. 😊 You making the butter is interesting. As I was growing up on the farm I would help make butter. There's always plenty to do when you are farming. 👍☝️🥰
Aaaagggghhhh! Your back and arms! What a work out. No gym membership needed. And you made butter. Those folks in the gym only lost money and still have to buy butter.
i love how neat Tova is. everything she makes is so satisfying!
Over is growing so quickly! All that good milk from mama. Your lives are so busy, never a minute to spare. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful life and home with us xXx
I used to make butter, back when the kids were little and we used to get gallons of milk from a farm. Now I hardly ever have milk in the house, I will buy a gallon raw milk once in a while to make pudding for my one granddaughter who lives close. The rest I let go sour and make a semi cheese. You have a wonderful life and are so good working with nature!
Love and peace!
Most certainly you are hard workers. I am sure the butter tastes great. Really happy baby.
Ivar is as handsome as ever. What a smile! Hi Kevin! Loved the editing & the choice of music - well done. So many enviable skills. Thank you for this video. Your lifestyle is a joy to watch & a total mental vacation for me. You're on the right path - keep going!
It must be very nice to have two helpers with the butter. So nice for your brother to be there to help you. Especially as Ivar is growing his first year. Thank you so much!
Your dairy process skills are priceless!!!!
Love to watch!!!
Oh yum..fresh things to eat..and Little Ivar is becoming strong..very good to see you all again.
Your projects are all so interesting. I at is beautiful and so happy.
I remember churning buttermilk while living with my grandparents . She had an old crock with a wooden cross paddle ! We lived strictly off the land ....lot of hard work but a very healthy lifestyle . Be blessed and favored ❤️🙏🏽
I love that you can get so many different things from raw milk.
Raw milk is the best milk for you.
@@paulrosebush9137 It has to be boiled though - Either that -or pasteurized.
I don't know if one can drink raw milk straight.
@@kiranshashiny you don't boil raw milk that would create pasteurization and acidosis . All DISEASE come from mucus and that is created by acidosis . Raw means raw and not cooked. @@kiranshashiny you can! But It has to be straight from the cow that is.
I enjoyed hearing about the old barn, it’s history & how your going to restore it. I’ve never heard of building one mouse proof so I learned something as I always do watching your channel although I was raised on a farm. Thank you for opening your life to us.
Yet another stunning video well done guy's
I like the subtle humor of the “pigs charging area”
Wow, such a great video! Great editing with the music, too. Thank you.
Ivar is the star! he is so cute and gracious. I just adore him! thanks for sharing with us your daily live. Big hug from France
beautiful video , i love to see those old handtools like the one for making butter , the hand crank mill , my grandmother used to have one and i remember as a child when visiting her on her farm she used it to make butter the oldschool way , thanks for bringing to me all these beautiful memories.
I love Ivar's little purly jumpsuit and knit cap! All the details of your life are filling me up, thank you
The skillet used for outside cooking your dinner look fantastic!
I was so happy to watch your vlog thankyou for sharing with us all Ivar is getting so tall he’s adorable
Yes this brings back memory of my Mom and Dad on the farm in Canada milking cows separating the milk making cheese, butter,and buttermilk pancakes for breakfast the next day.;
Jamaica 🇯🇲 here good video beautiful handsome young man begin watching out for it glad to see you and your family and the progress you all are making blessings
Your son is so so adorable, looks like both Mom & Dad, you folks seem like a lovely, happy, family. God Bless you all ... Just found you guys today, will watch more now..Thanks for sharing your family life.
Your family lives a lovely and wholesome life much hard work but there is a beauty in it that we in the modern crazy world admire. God bless you😊
Hey you three.
Renovate the attic, I'd line the floor of the mouse trap with corrugated iron and wood on top. There's air going through, and the grain can't rot. Sure, the roof beams are completely broken, new beams and corrugated iron, also all around, from above, a good meter. Saves you a lot of trouble in the future.
Your cheese, I think I have to plan a tour through Sweden with my Quad and try everything with you.
Everything looks really delicious
Greetings from Frankfurt, stay healthy and above all, stay as you are.
I love how sterile and scientific you are about making cheese...and you both work as a team...Best videos in the world for teaching young couples the meaning of life...ALSO, that men and women worked TOGETHER as a team to survive and provide for their families....it was NOT a totalitarian tyrannical male against female system...they were a TEAM working towards the success of their family.
Addendum: I love how you want to save these old buildings...1846 is old..and your dedication in saving it with traditional woodworking methods is truly inspiring..You and your lovely wife are truly an inspiration...
Ivar looks more and more like his Daddy every day, beautiful video, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful hard work. Thank you for gifting us by sharing your life. Ivar is so adorable! My heart is happier after watching your videos🦋🌈🌺🙏
The building you want to save is beautiful, I look forward to seeing that project develop. I am glad the cheese and butter making is coming along too. Finally, little Ivar looks so strong and healthy, life looks good and I am so glad for you.
🥰🥰🥰🥰 so happy you posted again.
Your baby boy is beautiful, what lovely blue eyes, its always so special watching your life living by the "old ways" what a wonderful way to live , I have some lovely memories growing up on my grandfathers croft, hard work but so much more meaningful and your food looks so delicious, I hope your summer improves its been dismal here in the north of Scotland ,
Genius upgrade: a log plinth for your heirloom butter churner !

It's lovely to see you have company...........
My favorite off grid family! Thank you for sharing your world!!
Ivar! He is a wondrous creature. Blessings and hugs, all!
Splendid to see the chesse and butter processing. Also really love the creative addition of the fax sound during the building. Made me laugh outloud!!!
I have so much respect for your way of life. I was never tough enough or smart enough to live your life. I feel so much admiration for both of you. I have never been so grateful for my grocery store in my life. Making butter looks so difficult. It’s all difficult. You are both amazing and very thin. 💖
Ivar is a big guy already! Great fax noise when thinking! The butter is tasty even on video!
Ivar is such a beautiful child. You are very blessed.
What a lovely vlogg showcasing how life can be lived in a simple but busy life.
Great video, thank you! Could you please show how you make the pig house in a future video? We have a small farm and are wanting to add pigs for self sufficiency in meat - but we're not sure where to start! :)
It will be in the next video! It became a little bit heavy, but It works. They have at least not destroyed it yet :)
@@Talasbuan Thank you, looking forward to seeing it! :)
The baby and your family is awesome! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️❤️
Love these cooking videos...and that Lil boy is just precious

I really enjoyed this vlog so Interesting and little Ivar is adorable and so cute.much love to you all .♥♥
Thank you, your stuff is very gripping now I am binge watching
Hello! I have just recently found your videos and am really enjoying them! I am much older than you. I live in the USA and I am a retired registered nurse. I know very little about farm life so the way you live is so amazing to me! You are both so smart and healthy. You have so many wonderful skills. I am fascinated watching your day to day life. Your baby is beautiful! I raised 4 boys. They are in their 40's and 50's now but are kids to me. Take care of yourselves and enjoy each day. Happy New Year and may God bless you and all you love as well as your beautiful animals and country. I will keep watching! 😉🇺🇸
Love watching the cheese and butter-making process. Wonder if you could figure out a way to run the crank with a stationary bicycle? All that bending over and cranking looks painful. It's wonderful to see young people committed to making/growing/raising their food from scratch and being as self-sufficient as you can. Here's hoping you get good weather for haying this month. Wishing your little family all the best on the off-grid farm.
The cream looked great, the butter that deep yellow with lots of carotene from the grasses. Ivar is growing! Thanks for sharing your lives with the world. The videos are amazing and I smile each time the notification comes that you have released another one. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Very Nice*, Your lambs are looking good- the pigs too*, And the little guy is growing fast- Adorable!
