    okay... imma need to make one of these.
    Love that idea of cutting the chin out for a really cool collar. Might need to attempt something like that for a Cyberpunk build

    Hey Chris. To help urethane bead less, add a little “fisheye eliminator” mixed in with it. I use “smoothie” brand, but I’ve had success with a lot of different brands. It works because it lowers the surface tension of the urethane and helps it wet out

      Thats great! Are they're any tints I can use for urethane, I want a flesh colored rubber but can't seem to find any ,or tips on how to intrinsically color urethane .

    Based on your superman, you should do a hybrid batman thats also classic.
    heres my take
    keaton mask with the attached logo.
    blue and grey colours( plus those sexy briefs) both from adam west.
    batfleck style body suit or texture
    white eyes( i know its not on any batman yet, but black eye makeup doesn't really work with bright blue or any blue) from comic bats cus you took comic elements for supes.
    a bale style belt cus its the only way you could incorporate him cus he is very different from the other dudes.
    it'd be great for u to respond. even just to say no i'd love to hear your thoughts

    That seems like a lot of work, I think I'll just make the one for my Mass Efect suit out of fabric and paint on liquid tape. I've found that to flexible and very durable.

    This area in every live Bat-suit has always been problematic. Seems it’s the most difficult area to make functional, yet pliable enough to move the neck. I think the BvS suit did the best while still looking aesthetically pleasing. The Dark Knight suit was okay, but Bales scrawny neck made the helmet look to bulby.

  • @MagicJames58

    Can you show us how to do this with a more complicated design like a Batman cowl

  • @MisterRorschach90
    @MisterRorschach90 4 года назад +1

    You should take all the cosplay skills you’ve developed over the years and put it towards building a functional suit of super hero armor. Make Kevlar or uhmwpe armor panels, cover it in carbon fiber or something like that, and put it over a suit of slash pro or cut Tex pro material for the Arkham knight/tactical Batman look, or make yourself sheer thickening fluid infused urethane like muscles for a muscle suit and cover it in Kevlar panels and slash pro or cut tex pro for the batfleck look. I think putting your skills into a project like that would rocket you to the top of trending and quadruple your subscriptions.

Custom real armor plates, a custom armor plated helmet and I want to do a neck seal like this but I wonder if their is a material that is more tough than that? Like cut proof?

    So, I want to look into making molds Cosplay Chris. See... I have myself a couple cool 3D printers. I would like to print armor in PLA (plastic) and smooth it down. Then mold it in urethane. I hear you can cast that stuff in various densities, and it would likely be more durable than welding PLA pieces together. What are your thoughts? Any good leads on learning to make molds? I can easily make the original pieces.

    Hey chris think i can do the same thing for making the spider emblems like Sam raimis spiderman suit?

    • @jeffreywarrenpark9149
      @jeffreywarrenpark9149 4 года назад

      You should be able to. But, I would highly recommend using a MUCH more flexible material, though. On the Sam Raimi - Spiderman suits, the spider emblem & webbing was cast in foam latex. This worked well for the films. But, keep in mind that they had MULTIPLE suits, and they only needed to last until the production finished shooting. You suit(s), (I assume), will be used for far longer a period of time and you will want to need to repair/replace them far less often. So, I would suggest a soft and flexible urethane or silicone, (something around a "Shore-A" of 5-15), instead of foam latex. Explain what you want to do to your local distributor and they should be able to point you towards a suitable material. Personally, I think Smooth-On's "Dragonskin" silicone may be best fit for what you are after.

    • @DiakuKoi
      @DiakuKoi 4 года назад

      Thabks i was thinking and researching I was gonna use a resin rising foam from smoothon but i forgot dragon skin is a thing the reason why I asled is becuase i made a logo on my recent suit that is made out of eva foma with is good but hard to been its like a leather patch thats whybi was looking for somwthing flexable

    'Very nice job. Although, I would personally make one recommendation regarding the velcro. It is better to have the "hook" portion face away from your skin. If not, there is a HUGE potential for it to act like aggresive sandpaper, causing it to scratch and irritate the skin. Trust me, been there, done that, learned my lesson long ago. With ANYTHING that causes even the SLIGHTEST discomfort, it WILL get exponentially worse the longer you wear a costume/makeup/uniform/etc. So PLEASE learn from the mistakes of others, as well as yourself. There is NO gain from pain, ...except more pain!
