I've got the DJ36 blue fluted-motif (fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet) and have to say the fluted-motif motifs are the best DJ dials of the past few years. Sad to see them discontinue them! Also a big fan of the tapestry and linen dials back from the 80s, especially that yellow gold two tone! And the white roman is clean and killer too.

A good buddy of mine has a fluted dial, fluted bezel on jubilee and it’s just stunning! That should be an A! Also, I’m a big fan of the Turn-O-Graph, that would be an A in my book too!
The one thing that comes out in your assessments is how personal Rolex designs are to different people. Somehow to me the more classic designs will have the longest shelf life. I have three Datejusts. One is a 36mm with the anniversary face with diamonds and the diamond bezel and the jubilee bracelet. It is completely gaudy to be sure and only get’s worn on very formal occasions, like with a tuxedo. My other two are both 41mm, and one is a two tone gold and oyster with gold face, gold fluted bezel, and jubilee bracelet, and a stainless version with black diamond face fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. I enjoy wearing either of these. The two tone reminds me of a watch my father wore, which always brings back memories for me. The stainless version is more compatible with my typical colour choices of grays. Some of the trendier watches you chose are also gorgeous, but for me, some seem like they will feel really strange in the future. Likely they will be more valuable than my more pedestrian choices though. Thanks for your interesting presentation.
Romans on white dial with a smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet is a very good look in my opinion. Take your pick. Thomas's opinion, or anyone else's is not definitive.
Not a great fan of Rolex, but it is that cyclops that bugs me most on these models. I absolutely hate it, so all Datejusts come into the’F’ category for me. Prefer the Oyster Perpetual, but I wouldn’t go overboard.
I appreciate you going quick on my slate/smooth bezel/oyster bracelet boring ass Datejust. It was quick and painless. But honestly, there’s something unique about it since everyone else has to have a jubilee with a fluted bezel.

1989 blue jubilee, alpha numeric dial with oyster bracelet, 35 year old daily work watch. Smart, clean and 35 years ago, there were very few blue dials.
The Palm dial is probably a future A, maybe S tier I think. I could see collectors going crazy for it in 10-20yrs, as there is absolutely nothing like it in the DJ lineup. But at the moment I’m over it 😂

i have a DayDate 36 18249 Bark Finished in white gold with diamond markers, which i inherited from my dad..and i love wearing it everyday……beautiful watch.
One has the champagne dial, gold Roman numerals, gold Thunderbird bezel, gold and stainless steel oyster band. My other is champagne dial, diamond dust Roman numerals, diamond bezel, and gold and stainless steel oyster band. I’m very happy wearing either.
I think you definitely left out possibly on purpose the 41 mm oyster steel fluted bezel blue dial. It's a stunning sporty or dress all around daily, driver.
Turn-o-graph should be higher, because it's the closest a timing bezel can get to a dress watch. I know that dressy people will judge it crude and sporty people will judge it blingy, I don't care. C or B, depending on reference.
All Rolex DateJust look like each other.. But Turn -O- Graph is Rebellious.. Grade D really hurts.. I agree some of DateJusts are more handsome but Turn-O-Graph is unique.. Deserves upper grades...
The quartz would be the only rolex that I would ever want to own. Unfortunately the case is horrible. It is a pity they did not just stick it into a standard oyster...

The "fluted" dials are ugly in person, and not even that great in photos. The classic blue sunburst dial with fluted bezel on Jubilee is the way to go, preferably in the original 36mm size.
